Prebank OU: My Big Fat Italian Team

La Zia (Scolipede) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
- Megahorn
- Earthquake

Scolipede got a huge boost this gen, and I'm taking full advantage of it. Acting as a sort of pseudo-Blaziken, Scolipede can both pass Atk and Speed while being able to actually attack off of pretty good base Atk and Speed already. Max Def allows me to shrug off physical attacks more than normal, which usually lets me get up a crucial Swords Dance before passing to something like Kangaskhan. Focus Sash lets me get up a relatively assured Speed Boost or well timed Baton Pass when it counts. I chose to go Megahorn and Earthquake rather than one or the other paired with Protect in order to give Scolipede the ability to independently sweep if it needs to. Can do work as a lead, but with the current meta the way it is, I generally chose not to lead off with Scolipede.

Madre (Kangaskhan) (F) @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- Sucker Punch
- Power-Up Punch

What can be said about Mega Kangaskhan that hasn't already been said before? It's a monster of a Pokemon, and one of the premier threats in the game. The only thing that can make it scarier is if it gets faster, and that is one of this team's primary win conditions. Earthquake as a generally strong attack and an option against Aegislash, which might otherwise switch in whenever it wants once Kanga Mega Evolves and just procede to sit there until Mega Kanga runs out of Sucker Punches. Return as the best STAB option, and it hits like a brick house as well. Sucker Punch to take care of things that are faster than it while also giving it a pretty strong coverage move. The real star of the show, however, is Power-up Punch. A Swords Dance that also deals damage? Sign me up. If unthreatened, this thing WILL sweep teams.

Il Fratello (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip

Ferrothorn, as one of the few viable Stealth Rock users in Prebank OU at the moment, has a very special place in the meta. Rocky Helmet plus Iron Barbs makes Mega Kangaskhan and most other physical attackers cry. As mentioned, Stealth Rock is a very important entry hazard to set up early and keep up, in order to try to scare away things like Talonflame, which might otherwise wreck havoc on my team. Spikes are less important, but still a welcome option to throw out there when I can. Leech Seed is still one of the best moves in the game, and without a way to heal Ferrothorn normally it becomes even that more important. Power Whip over Gyro Ball for my attack because of the lack of things on my team that can actually tangle with Rotom-W.

Cugino Raul (Rotom-Wash) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest

Speaking of Rotom-W, it's still one of the best options straight up against Talonflame in the game. Hydro Pump and Volt Switch are the primary moves, allowing Rotom-W to hit a wide variety of threats with at least neutral damage. Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical attackers even more, and generally be an annoyance to most things. Rest and Chesto Berry to make a quick full heal when I might need it. All in all a pretty solid defensive tank.

Padre (Gliscor) (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge

Gliscor as my pivot is something that, once I figured out how good it was, I'll never want to be without again. The real star of this set is Taunt, allowing Gliscor the ability to absolutely shut down a wide varity of Pokemon. Knock Off got a huge boost this gen, so I would be silly not to run it. Making things drop their Leftovers or Life Orbs is just insane. Earthquake for the all important STAB and Stone Edge as coverage round out the set and allow Gliscor to even sweep after getting passed boosts from Scolipede, if I feel that I can't safely Baton Pass to Kangaskhan.

Il Zio (Tentacruel) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Spd / 200 SDef / 40 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic Spikes
- Scald
- Sludge Bomb

Finally, as my answer to entry hazards, I use Tentacruel. Rapid Spin is the most important thing about this set, allowing me to sweep away entry hazards when needed. Toxic Spikes can really cripple a lot of teams, so setting them up when I can is a big help. Scald and Sludge Bomb for dual STAB, with the burn chance from Scald and the Fairy coverage from Sludge Bomb being pretty important. The only thing I'm not sure about are the EVs, so I'm willing to bet that they aren't optimal.
