Prequel to Fire Fire Burn Burn

Hello, Smogon. Jimmyftw here with yet another Uber rmt for you to enjoy! Made significant changes to the team.

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- King's Shield
- Gyro Ball
- Toxic
- Shadow Sneak

Aegislash's Gyro Ball one shot any Xerneas foolish enough to set up a Geomancy on it. Toxic works nicely in conjunction with King's Shield and is a really spamable move this generation. Shadow Sneak is crucial to pick off those that insist on surviving with a silver of health as well as providing a clean 2hko on Mewtwo. This team lacks a Scarfer so it needs as much priority as it can get.

Palkia @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Spacial Rend
- Surf
- Thunder
- Fire Blast

Palkia is this team Kyogre counter and speedy attacker. With Assault Vest equipped, Palkia can safely switch in repeatedly on Kyogre's attacks and proceed to drown the mighty whale with continuous blow of thunderous lighting. Furthermore, Palkia uses Kyogre's rain to his advantage, fueling his powerful surf, which not even bulky Arceus forms enjoy taking.

Arceus-Ground @ Earth Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Recover

Arceus-Ground is more often than not, the team win condition. After a single Sword Dance, Arceus-Ground becomes a frightening sweeper with its incredible 120 base speed and modest 120 base attack. Arceus-Ground also provides a crucial electric resist which previous version of the team did not have. Recover is for longevity although, I might replace with Extreme Speed and change the EVs spread to max Attack.

Lugia @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 200 Spd / 252 HP / 56 Def
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Toxic
- Thunder Wave
- Whirlwind

I am not very experience with Lugia as this is my first serious team that contains the Guardian of the Sea. However, Lugia titanic defenses and phenomenal team support in the form of duel status has yet to disappoint me. Thunder Wave or Toxic, choose depending on the situation, if it is beneficial to slow an enemy down or whittle away at it's health. Whirlwind is there to phaze away those that set up boosts on Lugia.

Ho-Oh @ Choice Band
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 32 Spd / 252 Atk / 224 HP
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Brave Bird
- Earthquake
- Sleep Talk

The mascot of the infamous Fire Fire Burn Burn playstyle. Banded Ho-oh is a very dangerous beast, capable of ohko an astounding number of Uber residents. Brave Bird from banded Ho-oh is a ohko on the more common sets of Kyogre, meaning one of Ho-oh's top checks is not that reliable. Earthquake rounds off the coverage provided by Fire and Flying nicely and deals a hefty chunk to Arceus-Rock.

Giratina @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spd
Impish Nature
- Rest
- Will-O-Wisp
- Defog
- Roar

Giratina is this team physical wall and counter to the deadly Extreme Killer Arceus. Will-O-Wisp halves the attack of any physical attackers bar fire types such as Ho-oh. Giratina is also the defogger of this team and thus holds an important role for supporting the Tower Duo. I run Chesto Berry since Giratina has a bit of a 4MSS and Chesto Berry mitigate this by freeing up a moveslot.

Does it even have to be Adamant to punch holes tbh?

I would try something like Physically Defensive Groudon in place of Lugia maybe, so you can better deal with things such as Zek while giving you an actual EKceus check and means of setting Stealth Rock. I'm still unsure as to how to fix the MMX weakness, though.
Kebabe suggested that to me when I showed him my team (which jimmy copied and changed kia to offensive + geo xern) but realized that in order to use groudon > kia you becomes much weaker to attackers like mewtwo, kyogre, palkia, dialga, cm arceus forms, xerneas, etc in exchange for beating zekrom. Overall not a fair trade.

Also 252+ speed on lugia is bad. Change it to 200 speed and 56+ def/SpD

Haruno, I did not copy your team. I wanted to make a team around Mega-Khan and the logical progression of my team-building coincidentally aligned with yours. This is what I mean when I say we are on restricted team-building this gen. Anyway, I'll change the ev's on Lugia since it makes more sense. Thank for the rate :)

You will need a Groudon here. Zekrom currently beats your team very easily and Lugia is pretty expendable here. Your team also lacks SR. which Groudon provides. SR is still very important to have on any Uber team as sometimes you get to KO the opposing defog user and set them up. Since Dialga with Flash Cannon is a problem for Arceus-Rock to defog against, an Earth Plate Groudon would suit your team very well. Use this set:

Groudon @ Earth Plate
Ability: Drought
EVs: 212 HP / 220 Atk / 76 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Dragon Tail

MMX is a big problem for you team. The lack of scarfer really makes it inherently weak to fast mons like Darkrai and MMY as well. Use scarf Xerneas>geo Xerneas to get a nice revenge killer that doubles up as a good cleaner late-game. Good luck!
