SV OU Primal Sun

I was hesitating to post this team since you've probably already seen like 100 variations of this, but I created this sun team to showcase the power of Paradox Pokemon under sun. I'm not a good builder and a half decent player as well, so it was mainly a fun team for me and not supposed to be serious, but after trying out different teams I always circle back to this team. I figured I should share it and see if there are improvements that could be made.

Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 8 HP / 4 Def / 244 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Steam
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Draco Meteor

I needed to use Walking Wake after getting 6-0'd by one on the ladder. Specs Hydro Steam with water Tera does crazy damage and only a handful of mons can switch in. Mons with Water Absorb get destroyed by Draco Meteor or sometimes 2HKO'd by Flamethrower. Dragon Pulse provides a reliable Dragon STAB move to clean up once everything is low. 90% of the time I click Tera on this mon and kill everything, and with sun up, the speed boost allows you to outspeed almost the whole meta.

Ninetales @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 20 Def / 240 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Will-O-Wisp
- Encore
- Healing Wish

Ninetails sets sun while providing some support with Will-O-Wisp to cripple attackers, Encore to cripple mons trying to set up, and Healing Wish to bring back threats with low HP and status conditions. Weather Ball is a reliable STAB move that does decent damage as long as the sun remains up.

Raging Bolt @ Assault Vest
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 132 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Weather Ball
- Thunderclap
- Volt Switch

Raging Bolt provides a switch in to alot of mons. With AV it can tank super effective hits and fire back with a strong attack. Even Volt Switch hits hard in the sun, allowing me to chip the enemy team while reposition my Walking Wake back on the field. It can even switch in to Water Ogerpon and pivot out safely if they dont have Play Rough. The EVs allow it to outspeed Jolly Kingambit to make sure Thunderclap goes first.

Great Tusk @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin

Great Tusk makes a great addition for any sun team for extra hazard control and the ability to run an item other than Booster Energy. I run Knock Off to hit spinblockers as they try to switch in and Stealth Rock to provide important chip damage against certain teams. Rocky Helmet is great to chip away certain mons like Dragonite who would otherwise 6-0 the team with ExtremeSpeed.

Hatterene @ Eject Button
Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 208 Def / 52 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Mystical Fire
- Future Sight
- Healing Wish

Hatterene provides amazing hazard control in most situations thanks to Magic Bounce. Eject Button allows her to easily pivot in a bigger threat. Having another Healing Wish user is also amazing, as you can bring back a giant threat from the brink of death to sweep the enemy team later. She also provides important support with Future Sight, allowing you to pressure the enemy team even more.

Slither Wing @ Choice Band
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Close Combat
- Flare Blitz
- First Impression

Originally this was another AV user, but after seeing Blim rocking a Choice Band set, I decided to try it out. This set demolishes most stall teams not running Pex, and provides an incredibly powerful revenge killer as well with First Impression. Tera Fire keeps it from getting burnt by stall teams and makes Flare Blitz hit incredibly hard. The recoil can be mitigated later thanks to Healing Wish.

Dragonite can easily set up on the whole team once Wake is locked into the wrong move. The counterplay varies based on Tera type, so players who save Tera until endgame can easily sweep after the ream is weakened. Slither Wing still does a ton of damage after Multiscale is broken, so attacking Dragonite and revenge killing with First Impression is an option if Slither Wing is healthy enough to survive ExtremeSpeed.

Ogerpon-Wellspring and other mons with Water immunity can prove difficult to maneuver against with Wake, especially if there is a Fairy in the back that can take advantage of Wake being locked into a Dragon type move. It's possible to maneuver around Water Absorb but it requires making reads

The combination of Blissey and Moltres can easily switch into the two breakers, making it difficult to make progress. Though both mons aren't typically run together, both of them will be a nuisance on their own.

Stall teams with Toxapex are difficult to break through as Pex can switch in to both Walking Wake and Slither Wing with ease, meaning you have to rely on Raging Bolt for damage, which will prove difficult with Gliscor in the back.

Though this team is ridiculously weak to Fairies, most Fairy type Pokemon are slower than Wake and will drop to Specs Hydro Steam, meaning with good enough pressure you can work around this weakness. Faster Fairies like Booster Valiant and Tera Fairy Thundurus, however, will easily sweep if you let them set up. Bulky Fairies like Primarina can easily switch in to Walking Wake and force you to sac a mon.
