Priority Where? (peaked at 2621 #81) - Balanced

Hey Smogon! I'm ThinkNice and this is my first RMT and also my first post here. I've been drawn to the competitive scene of Pokémon for about six months now and really enjoy it. I can go in to further detail as to how I found out about this magical place called Competitive Pokémon but that's not the point of this thread now is it?
I'm posting this not only to share my team with you, but also to ask advice. I believe this team can still improve a lot and maybe fresh minds can help me with this. So without further.. uh.. things (English is not my first language). I present to you: the team.

Actually I'm not very familiar with team building. So I thought the best way to go about it was to use Pokémon I would really like to try out and build from there. So I choose:

and

Then I was thinking I needed a sturdy SR user and because I knew Talonflame and Genesect would be flying around everywhere I also choose for a (for a lot of people) rather interesting pick:

and
heat2.png

Rotom-H actually synced pretty well with Scizor and Azumarill, Garchomp was fine and I was actually using the defensive RH-variant (MegaKanga-Era). Anyway to finish up my team I thought I would need a good spinner and I was thinking of a bulky Mega-Evolution so I choose for:

and

Anyway I felt like Venusaur was really not fitting into the team well, and RH Garchomp was just frustrating to use, as all it did was being sacked against MegaKanga sometimes not even living long enough to set up SR. So I went and replaced Venu and Chomp with:

and

Gengar was my new Mega, it was soon to be banned and for good reason. I really missed having this beast on my team. Then MegaLuke became the next big thing and oh boy how it fucked up my team. So I had to make some drastic changes.

Meet the team:
BrotomH.png
Hell's Kitchen (Rotom-Heat) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest

My main switch in on Gensect and also my Volt Switcher, this guy is amazing. It has a handful of great resistances and it is immune to both paralysis and burn! This guy is also great to switch in on most Fairy types and it gives no fucks about Talonflame. Flying, Bug and Steel really became key resistances this generation (well Flying not that much) and as an added bonus I also resist BoltBeam combinations.

Like I said a good switch in against Genesect and Talonflame, I can keep momentum with this guy by Volt Switching which is great, Excadrill mostly doesn't dare to switch in fearing either a burn or an Overheat. I don't mind seeing Heatran or something switch in either as I have enough answers for him.

EVs and nature are pretty standard I guess, just optimal physical bulk to tank dem Bugs and Birds all day.

scizor.jpg

ScIZZ (Scizor) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Roost

Yep, this guy became my Megalution. It originally was a CB set without Roost and Knock Off, but I wanted to try this sort of utility set out to see how it worked. It does great, Heatran and Mandibuzz love to switch in on this thing only to lose their Leftovers. Aegislash is not that big of a problem anymore and Roost gives it his long... live.. thing..

U-Turn is there to finish up the VoltTurn combo and to keep pressure on my opponent overall. Bullet Punch is a great finisher and also a good answer too Clefable, Florges and other Fairies. I've cleaned up 2-3 Pokémon several times with this Scizor merely with his Bullet Punch. The extra bulk his Megalution gives him is pretty amazing. It's one of my few switch ins to ghost type attacks once he is in his Mega form and is most of the times a big member of the team. Knocking Off Leftovers and chipping away with U-Turn enables priority to clean up most of the time, as I have a pretty slow team.

For the EVs I just went for optimal bulk with optimal power, I also choose for an Adamant nature because of his sky high attack. It would be such a waste not to boost that.

IM ADORABLE (Azumarill) @ Leftovers
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Focus Punch
- Waterfall

'Uwot m8? Focus Punch without Substitute? What is this guy doing?' No, fuck that. Fuck Sub, I ain't needin' any o' that. To be fair, I was using Sub. Until this freakin' defensive Volcarona came around that whooped my ass. And then I saw the light, I don't need fucking Sub. I'll just predict like a man and go directly for the FP. It nails: Roosting Skarm, Ferrothorn, Scizor, Ice-Types, Rotom-W and moaar. Focus Punch is amazing, it's the best move.

Aqua Jet is my second priority move in this team and it does its work well. Play Rough is mandatory STAB while I subbed Sub (hue) for Waterfall. Not only does it absolutely destroy Volcarona but it also hits Heatran very hard (since Aqua Jet alone is not enough). Anyway this thing is a freakin' beast. With its new gained Fairy type it can tank hits way better than ever before. A crucial part of my team to take on those Dark -and Fighting type attacks and retaliate with some great fire power.

I don't really need speed on this thing as it isn't a CB set or a Belly Drummer so I just went for the same as on Scizor. The 4 Def EVs make sure Genesect doesn't get the +Atk boost as they mainly carry Ice Beam and Flamethrower as their special attacks anyway.

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin

Well, so I lost my Stealth Rocker. Since I wasn't using Swords Dance on this guy very often anyway, I choose to remove that and make him my Stealth Rocker in stead. So yes, he is my spinner and my SR setter. I play pretty defensive with my Excadrill, meaning I won't switch it in unless I'm sure I can pull of a switch without breaking my Balloon. Immunity to Poison, Ground and Electric really help with this.

This is mainly me Aegislash check too if I predict a SD or a KS, if need be I can take a Shadow Ball too. It also works wonders against Rotom-W and Heatran while also completely countering most Gliscor as long as my Balloon is intact.

I went for Jolly just in case I face Adamant Excadrill and just to give me some more speed in my team. The power is sometimes missed but not that often. EVs are pretty standard, just full offensive.

fk u replay (Gourgeist-Super) @ Leftovers
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Def
Careful Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp

Yey an excellent Spin Blocker. Also another burner because, we all love burn amirite? I actually had Flamethrower instead of Protect for a while... buuut it was pretty situational and Protect probably helps me more, stalling for an extra bit of damage or just to see what Genesect (the only freakin scarfer) is going to lock himself into.

Syncs pretty well with Azumarill and Rotom-H and I believe that is what you call a FWG-core right? Shadow Sneak again helps me a bit to shorten the lifespan of some Pokés. Usually Gourgeist gets burned though because I switch it in to Rotom-W often. I don't really like how this guy is complete setup fodder for some Pokémon but then again I do appreciate the Leech Seeds and safe switch ins on Ground attacks and having some sort of Status Absorber.

EVs and nature... I'm actually not sure why I went Specially Defensive, maybe because Scizor and Rotom-H provide enough defense already, it worked well till now so I think I'll keep it this way anyhow.
Latios.png

Jet Lee (Latios) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Roost
- Surf

This is actually the newest addition to my team, enter Latios. I know the set is very weird but often times I found that I needed some kind of setup Poke that could deal some hefty damage. I had Tbolt instead of Roost but I almost never used it, so went for Roost to give me dat survival, dat immortality, dat rage potion, dat recoil-soluition.

Aaanyway, Psyshock is there to deal with MegaVenu which is REALLY a fucking pain in the ass, aswell as to hit dem Fairies who just love to switch in on me. Surf is there to hit stuff like, Heatran and Tyranitar that usually come in on predicted Dragon attacks. I guess I went for Roost instead of another attacknig move because I like to bring this guy in on midgame already instead of using it as a late game sweeper. It also 'counters' Rotom-W pretty well. I know I get walled hard by the likes of Ferrothorn, Hydreigon and stuff but I think my team does a pretty good job at weakining those.

EVs and nature are just standard for a hard hitter.

Threat list:
Ghost attacks in general: Good fucking job GF, physical ghost attacks are not really a problem, but stuff like Aegislash or Gengar Shadow Balls really scare the living daylight out of this team.
Offensive Venusaur: With that I mean this set: HP Fire/Giga Drain/Sludge Bomb/Synthesis, IT JUST WON'T DIE. Most of the times I have to bait HP Fire or Giga Drain to get Latios in safely so I can threaten it out.
MegaLuke: And then I mean the special variant, or rather 'the truly threatening and powerful' variant. Man fuck this thing, if it sets up +2 before I can hit him for atleast 50% of it's health it's over. But then again, I think this is the case for a lot of teams. (Without Genesect)
Bisharp: So... powerful. So... dark, Mega Scizor is my best bet but outside of that I can't do much. (Rotom-H is pretty worn off most of the times so it doesn't appreciate switching in on a Knock Off).
Mega-Manetric: Not seen very often but this thing is scary. So much coverage, so much speed. I have to pull of heavy predictions on this one if Rotom-H can't take much more.
I will edit this list once I remember what more threatens my team C:

General Concerns:
- This team relies a lot on Rotom-H to take a lot of hits, him being SR weak does not help at all.
- For Roosting Talonflame, I need a healthy Azumaril to win.
- I don't really recognize a general win condition on my team. Or it's just, wear down the enemy team until they can be picked of by Scizor and Azumarill.

So thanks for reading, I think you'll be seeing me more around from now on. I hope we can improve this team so I can hit dat #1, ah not happening. But top 50 would be nice.
