Problem with My Emulator, or is it my ROM collection?

Okay guys, I'm new here, but I know that this is a good place to ask these questions.

I downloaded Omega Fire Red, and I use VBA. Anytime I try to save a Fire Red game (be it Omega or regular release), it doesn't let me.

Would it be because I'm using VBA? Or is it the ROM? Would it work better if I used my NDS emulator?

dont talk about roms on the forums

that being said, it sounds like you fucked up. vba should be perfectly fine, maybe check where you got the games

ROM discussion is fine here, but it's disallowed in certain subforums (such as Orange Islands). Links/directions to any materials are not and will be infracted. If the a forum staff have an issue with this thread for another reason, they're free to delete it or lock it~

Hi.

Just open the emulator and go to..
Options > Emulator > Save Type

And make sure Automatic and flash 128k are the options selected. You should now be able to save then Gen 3 pokemon games as usual.

EDIT: For this to take effect you MUST start a new game.

Anyway, that being said, I use VBA, and I have a ROM of Leaf Green, and it works and saves fine using VBA. I get them both from the same place, a trusted site that I will not mention unless told I can.

Either way, any suggestions to make it work?

EDIT: Soul Fly, thanks. Your post went up at about the same time mine did, so I missed it. Now it's working.
