Proving that having an OU team doesn't make you the greatest.

Your descriptions aren't indepth enough (for example "rest Sp atk" you mean all 6 of the remaining EV's?

Kabutops will only somewhat function if the enemy has a politoed
Why why why is your rotom holding a flame orb and using hex??? Scarf and Shadowball/Tbolt...
Kingdra is the same as Kabutops also what do you get from having flash cannon? What coverage does it give you? You need to answer these questions yourself when you pick moves
Frosslass is probably the only good(ish) set on here (no offense, you just seem unexperienced) though should be timid
Your "wall" has X4 weakness to the 2 most common attacking types, is to slow to get the sub up before being OHKO'd and has NO recovery
Why do you have aerial ace on Sceptile? What is that for? Why have SpecAtk EVs? What attack are they helping?

Not being harsh but just ask yourself these questions and remake your sets. G'luck

Yeah, I mean rest is the rest of the EVs. I'll edit that.

I've found Kabutops to be useful even without Swift Swim used. I was able to take out a Reuniclus and an Arcanine with it.

Rotom is holding a Flame Orb with Trick to burn the opponent. Hex is there to have the damage boosted from burn with it. But, I just recently learned that Rotom can just use Will-O-Wisp without needing Trick, so I gave it Will-O-Wisp instead of Trick, and gave it Leftovers.

Flash Cannon is there for a Steel-type move. The only other option there is Iron Head from Lairon.

Modest boosts Special Attack and lowers Attack which I never use, which I think is good enough. Maybe Timid could have worked, though. And yes, I am unexperienced, this IS my first time having a serious competitive team.

I could just switch out with Lairon if my opponent has a Fighting type move or a Ground type move. Thanks to Lairon's defense, it is able to resist most of the Ground and Fighting attacks, save for a few special attacks of those kinds like Focus Blast and Earth Power. Although, you are right about the Substitute thing. I'll give it Toxic instead. And I'm also thinking about using a Steelix instead of Lairon, possibly. Still not sure, though.

Aerial Ace is there for Flying-type move coverage, and just incase Leaf Blade isn't gonna work well against the opponent. Special Attack EVs..don't know. I put them there just in case someone adjusts Sceptile's moveset to have a Special move.

Thanks for the help, though.

Steelix would at least have Lefties. It also has better typing (not X4 weak to anything) plus an immunity and access to Dtail. I set I wanted to toy around with in UU and RU was Rock Polish Kabutops. Flashcannon hits nothing for SE that Ice Beam or Hydropump hit (steel is one of the worst offensive typings) so it should be switched out for Dragon Pulse or a Hidden Power. Just some more ideas. G'luck.

Hey there, interesting team you have here.

Definitely agreeing on Redjar to replace Aerial Ace. I would recommend running Brick Break > Aerial Ace in order to hit steel types like Registeel that you won't be hitting at all with the Aerial Ace+Leaf Blade duo. Definitely run Hidden Power Fire > Flash Cannon on Kingdra because all Flash Cannon can hit super-effectively is Rock types (and Ice types), and Hydro Pump already covers that.

I know you're trying to show everyone that originality is awesome (and I'm a big fan of it as well) but in order to at least compete in UU, you might have to make some changes to the Pokémon you have on this team. Yes, Lairon has great defenses, but with Aggron, you can get Air Balloon and higher attack power. I do find the Froslass set you're using to be very intriguing; might have to try it out sometime.

But yes, just like Redjar, I'm not trying to nitpick every part of your team and call it bad. Like everyone else that rates teams, I'm going to tell you straightforward that some sets really need to be changed.

Kabutops is too slow without rain to work as a sweeper in UU. I would recommend replacing him with Azumarill as Azumarill has higher attack and better bulk.

Azumarill
Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower
- Ice Punch

I would also highly recommend Pain Split > Hex on Rotom-H in order to recover back some of the health that you may have already lost.

All in all, I like what you're trying to accomplish here; it's very inspiring. Just keep up the work you're doing, and you may really show everyone why this team is better than OU. Good luck!

Aerial Ace is better than brick break IMO due to grass types switching into shut down leech seed. Brick break would be useful for Ferroseed but a good sub seed set for sceptile would be more on the special side with HP fire and Giga Drain.

Something to kill Grass types is crucial seeing that Rotom is your only answer to grass types and Rotom constantly switching into SR to counter grass is gonna really hurt your team.
Rain dance on Kingdra over Flash cannon. I think you wont really miss flash cannon and ull greatly appreciate the rain :D

Nothing like building your first Competitive team :D

Here's some of my opinions on the suggestions:

Change Aerial Ace to Brick Break
I'll go with this.

Change Flash Cannon to Hidden Power
I agree, but it says that Sharpshoot's Hidden Power is Grass.

Evolve Lairon into Aggron and give Air Balloon
I'll probably evolve Lairon, and the Air Balloon idea could be good, but it really blows my cover that the game has to flat out announce that "Ragnarok is floating on its Air Balloon!", letting the opponent know he has to pop it first...although, Aggron could just beat the enemy before they get a chance to, or I could just switch out. I'll go with this as well.

Replace SliceNDice with Azumarill possibly
This I'm kind of debating about. Again, just like replacing Ragnarok with a Steelix, it's hard to decide because of the EV training. I do have Pokerus and the Power items, but it gets tedious training, but it'll probably be worth it after all that. Maybe I'll consider it.

Change Hex to Pain Split
Hmm, I guess this would work well, although I would have to go through the process of getting my friends DS (unless I get a 3DS today, fun fact: yesterday was my birthday), getting a Rotom in HeartGold, and having to get a bunch of battle points to get to teach it to Rotom. I like this idea, it just is too hard to do for me.

Giving Sceptile Hidden Power Fire and Giga Drain:
Hidden Power is Ground, and Giga Drain I might consider getting a new Treecko for.
By the way, just so you know, Rotom is not my only answer to Grass. Snow White has Blizzard, Sharpshoot has Ice Beam, and if SliceNDice can outspeed, X-Scissor.

Change Flash Cannon to Rain Dance:
...I don't think that would be very good for a Choice Specs set...unless if I could switch out, maybe that would work.

------------------------------------

Thanks a bunch for your ideas, guys. I was fearing that I would get nothing but people yelling at me that my movesets sucked and I should have done this and that and replace this and that and so on.

Grass isn't bad, maybe not the best but it's better than Flash Cannon as now you can decimate Swampert in UU and Gastrodons in OU. You could run a raindance LifeOrb set.

Kingdra becomes a force to be reckoned with under rain. Firing off hydro pumps at 100% accuracy and boosted by rain as well as STAB.

Something running rain dance is a good idea for this team. Didnt necessarily had to be kingdra if you want the choice specs(although life orb rain set would be very good)

you could also use damp rock on kindra and a bulkier set.
something like(doesnt have to be exactly this set but you get the idea)
Kingdra@Damprock
Swift Swim
Modest/timid
EVs: 104 hp 252 Spatk 152 speed
Rain dance
hydro pump
Draco meteor
Icebeam

the set adds some survivability. And you dont have to dump all to speed since his speed is doubled. you could go less on hp and more to speed if your concerned about Choice scarfers/Tail wind. Damp rock makes rain last longer. Draco Meteor and Hydro pump are going to hit hard even without choice specs.

With a weather being so common its good idea to have a way for you to play under your favorable weather conditions seeing you have two Swift swimmers.

Unfortunately though, Hydro Pump does NOT increase in accuracy in rain, but the rain does boost it and will definitely do a huge amount of damage to any Pokémon that decides to switch in on it.

But yeah, as chunx93 said, you really should take advantage of the fact that you have two Swift Swimmers on your team by using Rain Dance on Kingdra.

Best of luck!
