[I know it's bad but I also know a dumb title gets views & rates]
A PU team designed to function well until the NU tier is released, which may not come out until Gen 7 exists at our current rate. This is all assuming Smogon will not make PU an official tier.

Note: PU is the unofficial tier below NU, the tier list and rules are here: http://tiny.cc/putier

Torchic @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
- Protect
- Reversal

[Please note that although Combusken is in the PU tier, it is banned from using the Baton Pass/Speed Boost combination. Torchic, however, is not banned from this. Hence, the Torchic]

Torchic is generally the second thing I send out after Swadloon, unless they have a dedicated Stealth Rock lead. I will Rapid Spin away Stealth Rocks first to preserve Focus Sash, which, is pretty self explanatory seeing Torchic's role and abysmbal defenses. Speed Boost is self explanatory also; it's a crucial ability for a Baton Passer. EVs are to get maximum bulk and speed. Moveset is pretty self explanatory. He can pass a +3 Speed and +2 Attack boost reliably with Focus Sash. I Protect, SD, Protect, Baton Pass 90% of the time. Protecting the first turn he is out lets me scout for priority. Reversal is the best move I could slap on this guy, with a megalithic 200 Base Power after being brought down to Sash. After a SD boost that will hurt even coming off a Torchic.

Assuming hazards aren't up, which they rarely are, seeing as how I have a spinner and PU is not exactly full of rampaging spikes setters, Torchic can be consistently recycled after giving its initial +3, +2 boost. At 1HP, Torchic comes in on a death, uses Protect, and Baton Passes. For example, with a +1 boost in speed, Relicanth outspeeds all 252+ base 100 speed pokemon in UU, including Jirachi, Mew, and Celebi with Sticky Web up. Now that's fast for making use of something otherwise destined as death fodder.

Relicanth @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Double-Edge

Standard CB Relicanth. 12 Spe EVs to speed creep, Adamant for max damage. Just happens to outspeed Zebstrika with 12 EVs, the fastest PU Pokémon, with a +3 boost, which is exactly what Torchic provides! Moves are pretty self explanatory with EdgeQuake combination. He gets great bulk with the HP EVs and Rock Head gives him a 150 Base Power STAB move to spam with no recoil drawbacks.

Tentacool @ Eviolite
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic Spikes
- Knock Off
- Whirlpool

Aah, Tentacool. Such a utility Pokémon. Gets defenses equal with the likes of Eviolite Porygon2 with the EVs listed. Rapid Spin to preserve Torchic's Sash and sponge water-type attacks, Toxic Spikes to use on a switch and get residual damage, Knock Off because it's Knock Off, and Whirlpool as a filler to trap something and set up on it with Torchic after I've spinned. Attack & Special attack are uninvested but both of his attacks are more for their secondary effects rather than doing damage.

Swadloon @ Eviolite
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Sticky Web
- Toxic
- Synthesis
- Magic Coat

Oh, Swadloon. How you impress me so. As the best Sticky Webber in PU, Swadloon is a monster. I mean, this guy's got stiff competition in Sewaddle, Surskit, and Spinarak, but they are no match for the terror known simply as Swadloon. Sticky Web has great synergy with the rest of the team, providing crucial speed boosts to slow sweepers. Plus, it's great in conjunction with the Speed Boosts Torchic can pass. Things such as Relicanth can turn from a slow powerhouse to a speedy threat, outspeeding Zebstrika at +2 with no boosts when Sticky Web is up. Toxic & Synthesis to stall because he has zero offenses, and Magic Coat is filler in case something tries to taunt me. With defenses surpassing the likes of Chansey [bar the HP stat], Swadloon is a not a Pokémon to take as a joke in the PU tier.

Beheeyem @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SAtk / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Beheeyem is one of the greatest special attackers in the PU tier, and he can play two roles: that of a slow, special, battering ram - especially with the Analytic boost, or a speedy sweeper after Sticky Web is up. And, he gets a +1 boost from Torchic with Sticky Web up.

Marowak @ Thick Club
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch
- Stealth Rock

Marowak is possibly the greatest set-up sweeper in PU. With its signature, item, Thick Club, Marowak's attack stat far surpasses that of Choice Band Victini, Conkeldurr, Garchomp, Haxorus, and even the overlord of attack stats, Deoxys-A. EVs provide him with superb bulk and the 8 speed EVs let him speed creep other base 45 Pokémon, such as Conkeldurr, Dusknoir, and our Lord Dunsparce. An Adamant nature gives this guy the incredible attack he is notorious for in PU. After the +3 and +2 boosts he nearly always recieves from Torchic, he outspeeds Shell Smash Carracosta, along with Zebstrika, who is notorious for being the fastest 'mon in PU. All this is not to mention his mammoth attack stat, which skyrockets to 1076 after the aforementioned +2 boost. His EdgeQuake combo goes completely unresisted throughout the PU tier, and Fire Punch is to KO those bulky Grass-types such as Tangela that may give Marowak the slightest bit of trouble. Just to show his sheer power:

Highest HP in PU: +2 252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Wailord: 588-693 (108 - 127.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Highest DEF in PU: +2 252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Onix: 356-420 (129.9 - 153.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Simply put, the only thing with a shot in hell of defeating this Marowak after it is at +3 and +2 is something with priority or an extremely bulky grass type, such as none other than Eviolite Swadloon. This, boys and girls, is why I have Fire Punch.
Thanks so much for reading! I doubt many of you have experience in XY PU, so any overall suggestions are great; I'm not in need of recommendations to fend off a single threat [but they are appreciated if you play PU, haha].

Hopefully you can give me a few tips below, and they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again and make sure to rate!

THIS IS A REALLY GOOD REPLAY SHOWING THE POWER OR REVERSAL TORCHIC!!

I play PU oftenly and Instead of marorak, I recommend running a mono type Dragonair. It adds that major (Sorta needed) bulk to this team and still is EXTREMELY powerful.
Dragonair@ Eviolite
Ability: Marvel Scale
EV'S: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Really tired so I can't think too much.

I'm not sure but is ninjas banned in PU because it would completely outclass torchic. Also, I would use bonmerang over earthquake on marowak. Though it is slightly less accurate, it can smash substitute users with ease and has the exact same damage output. Never played PU, but you might want o try these changes as I played a not of NU with some of these.

Beheeym ftw
