Jynx @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Lovely Kiss / Trick / Hidden Power Grass

So I'm going with a rather uncommon Pokemon in the meta as a decent Omastar check.
Eitherway, it is able to tank every hit after the Shell Smash Boost baring no Rocks and/or no Groundium Z! Not only can it check Omastar defensively, it can nuke it with Focus Blast or Psychic (after the drop) most of the time and even outspeed it after thr Boost! If you want, you can run HP Grass to kill it no matter what circumstance occurs. But that's very situational so I don't know how much you want to do that.

252 SpA Jynx Psychic vs. -1 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 271-321 (96.4 - 114.2%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
Pretty much kills after the drop.

252 SpA Jynx Hidden Power Grass vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 324-384 (115.3 - 136.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Just around the same Focus Blast does against Omastar but without the risk of missing!

+2 252+ SpA Omastar Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Jynx: 206-243 (76 - 89.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
You need to get rid of the Rocks if you want to live at least one of Omastars strongest hits (w/o Groundium-Z obviously.) That way you can allow Jynx to miss its Focus Blast once at least.

Pyukumuku @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Soak
- Recover
- Block

Pyuku boi is a VERY solid counter. Now, I don't want to encourage using stall by any means but... I'm desperate for double points ;-;. Pyukumuku gets Unaware which neglects all of Omastar's boosts no matter how much it uses Shell Smash. The maximum Omastar can do to this thing is a Z-Earth Power which is still in Recover range. Pyukumuku can toxic stall it with Recover+Block/Soak. Now, I know what you're thinking, surely HP Grass does a decent amount. And yes, it does do a decent amount, but its still in Recover range. Also, Block ensures that Omastar will faint and won't simply swotch out and sweep once Pyukumuku has fainted.

+2 252+ SpA Omastar Tectonic Rage (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Unaware Pyukumuku: 153-180 (48.7 - 57.3%) -- 48.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ SpA Omastar Hydro Vortex (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Unaware Pyukumuku: 120-142 (38.2 - 45.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ SpA Omastar Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Unaware Pyukumuku: 106-126 (33.7 - 40.1%) -- 34.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ SpA Omastar Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Unaware Pyukumuku: 79-93 (25.1 - 29.6%) -- 0% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Poliwrath @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 160 SpA / 96 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Focus Blast
- Toxic
- Protect

Poliwrath is a defensive counter to Omastar. Focus Blast will always OHKO and in a worse case scenario where the Omastar is Z-Earth Power, Poliwrtath can protect itself to scout the Omastar and block the attack.

Cradily @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Giga Drain
- Toxic
- Recover

Cradily is a counter to Shell Smash Omastar, as any Water STAB is made irrelevant through Storm Drain, and even a boosted Ice Beam does not KO Cradily after Stealth Rock. In return, Cradily gets an easy OHKO with Giga Drain that also heals it back up to half health for use later in a game.

+2 252+ SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Cradily: 272-320 (72.3 - 85.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Roselia @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 236 SpD / 24 Spe
Calm Nature
- Spikes
- Synthesis
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain

+2 252+ SpA Omastar Hydro Vortex (185 BP) vs. 248 HP / 236+ SpD Eviolite Roselia: 171-201 (56.4 - 66.3%)
+2 252+ SpA Omastar Tectonic Rage (175 BP) vs. 248 HP / 236+ SpD Eviolite Roselia: 215-254 (70.9 - 83.8%)
+2 252+ SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 236+ SpD Eviolite Roselia: 222-262 (73.2 - 86.4%)
0 SpA Roselia Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 436-516 (155.1 - 183.6%)

As you can see, Roselia comfortably takes any hit at +2 and fires back with a Giga Drain for a one-shot kill, making it a counter. Ice Beam also only does 43% maximum at +0, so you can safely Synthesis up if it catches you on the switch, to avoid dying to a +2 Ice Beam later in the match.
If it happens to miss a Hydro or something you can also take advantage and get up some hazards, but this is a rare scenario to say the least.
Oh, and by the way, Giga Drain: 155.1 - 183.6% (71.9 - 85.1% recovered).

AV Ludicolo

Ludicolo is an amazing Counter to Omastar, regardless of the Z-Crystal it wants to abuse! Ludicolo has an outstanding defensive/offensive typing for the tier as a whole, being Grass / Water; but specifically for Omastar, Ludicolo has some surprising tricks of its sleeves as an AV user. Even without any investment in HP or Special Defense, as well as a Special Defense-Neutral Nature (Ludicolo typically prefers Modest nature due to its role on Rain teams), Omastar only has a 6% chance to OHKO Ludicolo with a +2 Subzero Slammer (refer to the calcs). However, with just some minor changes to the spread alongside giving it the red sweater, this dancing pineapple with a sombrero stands a pretty good chance against Lord Helix himself. As an added bonus for this EV spread, I included a more meta-relevant spread instead of just a counter-exclusive spread. This will allow this version of Ludicolo to be a bit more reliant than just a Helix killer (refer to the EV Spread Description). Enjoy!

Ludicolo @ Assault Vest
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 160 HP / 84 SpA / 252 SpD / 12 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Focus Blast

160 HP alongside Max SpD EV investment allow Ludicolo to always live a +2 Subzero Slammer into another Ice Beam following (refer to the calc).
12 Spe allow Ludicolo to always outspeed mons such as SpD Sandslash-A, which provides minimal investment as well as little interference to Ludicolo's role for the team in terms of spread and does 96-114 to Sandslash with Focus Blast as a 4th and final move option (refer to the added bonus calc)
84 SpA investment is simply filler for the remaining EVs, allowing Ludicolo to throw out a little damage instead of simply being a sponge.

+2 252+ SpA Omastar Subzero Slammer (175 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Ludicolo: 255-300 (85.2 - 100.3%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

+2 252+ SpA Omastar Subzero Slammer (175 BP) vs. 160 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Ludicolo: 184-217 (53.9 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252+ SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 160 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Ludicolo: 95-112 (27.8 - 32.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

84 SpA Ludicolo Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 208+ SpD Sandslash-Alola: 340-404 (96 - 114.1%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
84 SpA Ludicolo Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 208+ SpD Sandslash-Alola: 40-48 (11.2 - 13.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery (this is a calc for AFTER hitting Focus Blast and getting the lowest role possible)
0 Atk Sandslash-Alola Icicle Crash vs. 160 HP / 0 Def Ludicolo: 123-145 (36 - 42.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Abomasnow @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Earthquake

Scarf Abomasnow checks Omastar as it's able to outspeed and OHKO with a Giga Drain. It can also potentially switch in to Oma as it takes less than 50% from any of Oma's moves: however, it only checks as a +2 Hydro Vortex can OHKO. When Aboma does kill though, it recovers pretty much all the damage it takes back.

252 SpA Abomasnow Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 520-616 (185 - 219.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO (80.9 - 95.9% recovered)
252+ SpA Omastar Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Abomasnow: 115-136 (35.8 - 42.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Abomasnow: 126-149 (39.2 - 46.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Lilligant @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Energy Ball / Giga Drain
- Healing Wish
- Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Rock / Hidden Power Ice

Albeit uncommon, Scarf Lilligant is a nice Omastar check. It outspeeds even +2 Omastar and easily OHKOes with either Leaf Storm or Energy Ball (or giga drain ig). It can either be brought in to revenge kill it or be hard switched into Omastar if you expect a Shell Smash, although that's pretty risky. However, due to Weak Armor, it can't revenge kill Omastar at +3.

Manectric @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Grass] / Switcheroo
Considering the fact that once again we were lacking a fair bit of checks for the thread I decided to go ahead and post this mon, which Im sure Ive posted in the past not so long ago.

Manectric is a pretty niche yet effective scarfer thats able to pressure a series of common threads such as Sandslash-Alola, Quagsire, Lilligant and the one that brings us to this thread right now, which is Omastar. By virtue of its speed and typing, Manectric is able to outspeed +2 Omastar and OHKO it with either Thunderbolt or Hidden Power Grass while Volt Switch has a 68% chance to OHKO it as well. This means that Manectric is able to check Omastar offensively with most of its moves which comes in handy for the threat that might want to come in afterwards. Its move Switcheroo can be equally disruptive for the Pokemon that might want to switch into Manectric if Omastar hasnt set up yet and is expected to switch.

Manectric is a rather self explanatory mon thats able to pressure a ton of bulkier builds, but its equally threatening for setup sweepers such as Omastar. A nice check.

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt

Offensive check. Outspeeds Omastar at +2 Speed and OHKOs with Thunderbolt:

252 SpA Raichu-Alola Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 320-378 (113.8 - 134.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Alolachu can outspeed Omastar only up to +3 Speed, it loses after that though.

I'm not sure if AV ludicolo has ever been a thing. Katy's self-setter ludicolo, albeit niche outside of rain, is still usable in BO as a sweeper+omastar check, and synergizes nicely with mudsdale/regirock imo, so I'm voting for Katy's ludicolo
