Rules​
  • Follow all rules listed here.​
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for us to make decisions for activity calls when we can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to us or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • Substitutions may be made after a week as started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Post replays. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later. They're also required.​

I like hikos SV play alot more, idt the gap is that big tho

Sufys wants these wins more and is just a stronger player, seems clear cut to me.

Avarice has been doing fine but lpz is hard to beat here.

Aras PU has been less impressive than their over dpp tiers.
ADV: Parpar vs Plague
(HIGHLIGHT) this is an insane matchup, i think plague has the edge based on this years performance but itll be good.

I think skar has adapted well, but not well enough to topple 691.

SV: Hiko vs Tenebricite - hiko threw the curveball and won for it, tene is good but i think hiko's got the momentum here
SV: sufys vs LOOR - sufys has been looking better but his opponents haven't been trying as hard and suzuka kinda choked at the end of their game last week, will be interesting to see how he fares against loor and the funny parade
SV: etern vs Metallica126 - METALLICA'S BACK BABY
SS: OranBerryBlissey10 vs LustfulLice - obb got the most dogass matchup ever last week and was kinda trolling vs strap so surely he brings it back around now right
SM: btboy vs robjr - rob got some pretty bad luck last week against sugar's rat but i don't think he's done anything so egregious as to lose the bold
ORAS: ishtar vs lighthouses - diogo and ruffles getting a near 400 turn stall mirror while diogo had a bo3 series directly after is a top 3 pupl moment this year so far
BW: LpZ vs avarice - losing to tack is not a good reason to predict against lpz. not even if it was reggiespikes
DPP: Ara vs Django - django please dunk this fraud
ADV: Parpar vs Plague - plague kinda owned sleid last week even if dd char was a weird bring into like 100% dragonair usage, i'll give it to them
Bo3: seraphz vs zS - zs has overall looked stronger but i think seraphz can still totally do it

SV: Suzukaaa vs kyuss - i think whatever wacky stuff kyuss brings will be able to trip suzuka up, last week has shown that they're not immortal
SV: dunoks vs Andyboy - andy did well last week but fish's level of effort this tour has me tempted to give the win an asterisk, we'll see though!
SV: 691 vs Skarpherim - 691 got punked by hiko pretty bad last week but i think he definitely bounces back here and i can't in good conscience predict phoxes sv to go 0-3
SS: Bloshh vs Dj Breloominati♬ - neither of blosh's wins have been extremely inspiring, i think this is really where he needs to prove himself
SM: Terracotta vs pdt - pretty cool upset from terra! i think this is where the train stops though
ORAS: feen vs Killintime - feen's 4-0 so i can't really reasonably predict against him right now
BW: Tizio Potente Ao vs neomon - tizio is due for one
DPP: TJ vs BeatsBlack - tj got absolutely robbed last week and beats just beat heysup so i think we know who has the momentum here
ADV: Aurist vs mielke - insert one of those early 2000s gamer shirts that says i'm one game away from making playoffs and you look like just enough BD
Bo3: tom holland vs Drud - tom's doing pretty good so far!! i think drud is definitely better but this may be closer than expected

SV: Vulpix03 vs SEA - i've overall liked pix's teams and play more but i generally think this is pretty even
SV: fish anemometer vs DripLegend - i do not believe in fish's performance as of late and drip is god's favorite gambler
SV: VyoletRayn vs Bouff - tough debut game for vy, ouch
SS: DugZa vs gum - not seeing any reason to predict against gum yet
SM: Charmriah vs Gondra - gondra's been fine and i've never seen charm play this tier
ORAS: TSR vs Greybaum - and so marks the end to gama's wacky wahoo scheduling adventure
BW: TyCarter vs Accel - accel is better but ty is definitely gonna try harder
DPP: Heysup vs frankjosh - it's ok grandpa i still believe in you!
ADV: evakiyama! vs violet river - EVA MY GOAT PLEASE WIN
Bo3: MZ vs sensei axew - if mz can overcome his loathing of ss i see great success incoming
 
Lord forgive me for the sin I am about to commit. Also not gonna keep track of all my weeks anymore because idk how to square last week's cast

Goofy Goober Goodras (0) vs (0) The KINGPINS - I think despite ending up at 5-5 goobers will win because things just keep seeming to go better for them than for the kingpins. maybe this is a glitch in my system
SV: Hiko vs Tenebricite - not really clear on what brings tene up to slot 1 sv. there are players less likely to randomly win here but the 1-11 overall SV record for the kingpins isn't giving me much confidence
SV: sufys vs LOOR - already said this in the Discord but I really haven't disliked LOOR's teams or play much, everything just seems to be ending up wrong and/or his opponents are just looking even better consistently. sufys is one of those players who just seems better right now
SV: etern vs Metallica126 - Metallica finally got the kingpins their first SV win 4 weeks in, I think he can do it again. Whatever's juicing etern in individuals is just not translating over right now
SS: OranBerryBlissey10 vs LustfulLice - I respect the need to try something different in their 0-4 SS slot, but it doesn't mean Lice looks favored whatsoever
SM: btboy vs robjr - maybe the most better player matchup this week
ORAS: ishtar vs lighthouses - two players with perfectly respectable starts, I've mildly preferred diogo's teams but this is pretty 50/50
BW: LpZ vs avarice - if avarice starts 5-0 beating tack and LpZ it might be the biggest Cinderella run of the tournament. But I'm not gonna hold my breath
DPP: Ara vs Django - Ara's 4-0 doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me but whatever's going on there keeps working out. Django's two losses are real respectable and I can totally see him turning his 1-2 around in the next few weeks but sometimes predicts = bold bigger number person
ADV: Parpar vs Plague - I've blocked most of ADV out of my head after the recent ban but he's definitely having the better tour
Bo3: seraphz vs zS - beat lax vs lost to tom holland

The Dazzling Delphoxes (0) vs (0) m.A.A.d. City Magmortars - again this feels like a predict that doesn't take into account the last several weeks, but mags have really turned around their start so maybe it's not that crazy
SV: Suzukaaa vs kyuss - kyuss would probably be 2-1 if vulpix stayed in last week, but I'm still a firm believer in the run
SV: dunoks vs Andyboy - Andy's good but his wins have basically just been handed to him, not that he can control that
SV: 691 vs Skarpherim - worse record but I've liked what he's doing a little more, pretty 50/50 though
SS: Bloshh vs Dj Breloominati♬ - sometimes someone can say some of the dumbest, funniest things you've read online in years and still skill gap their opponent by a solid margin
SM: Terracotta vs pdt - credit where credit is due, he's really turned around after that week 1

BW: Tizio Potente Ao vs neomon - neither's having a great tour so irdk, just a gut feeling here

SV: S1nn0hC0nfirm3d vs Piyu - no clue what to expect, weird tour for these two, leaning establishment
SV: Floss vs Xiri - two more players having poor tours, I kinda think Floss is more likely to turn his around though
SV: Ampha vs Stories - two even players I like watching, first time I straight up flipped a coin
SS: The Strap vs Lambovino - better at this tier but idk strap gets the weirdest wins sometimes
SM: sugar ovens vs Clem - moving Estarossa into dpp is so upsetting, was really looking forward to what we could've had here
ORAS: Ruffles vs Blue YM - even without holding watashi bustering out against Blue, I think I've got more faith in the new stuff Ruffles is doing
BW: Tack vs Cow - I've liked Cow's runs in the past but Tack is actually having a good tour
DPP: Laurel vs Estarossa - No clue how Estarossa is in this tier but I haven't been impressed with Laurel at all
ADV: sleid vs plznostep - I think steppy is better but ADV is feeling flippier than ever so idk
Bo3: lax vs Larry - Larry has maybe had the most nothing tour of anybody still starting

echoing above, even though i asked in manager chat so im just rehashing that (meaning i am asking for reconsideration especially because the mod decision reasoning wasn't provided when i asked). i think its unfortunate and counterproductive for metagame development that we have to play a dead meta this week because god forbid people wait a day to see matchups

Deciding to do post-shifts on Wednesday after saying in the OP that it would be pre-shifts is a terrible decision, it should have been polled on Sunday/Monday or not at all. Days worth of prep time gone for no real reason
