I decided to make an annoyingly annoying stall team. Every fucking team leads with Tyranitar and the few that don't lead with Hippowdon. In light of this I quickly made a stall team. It isnt perfect, but thats why I posted it :) Been moderately successful so far, only losing under haxy circumstances. I am not a newbie, I know how to play, but team building isn't my strong point.
Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 196 HP/252 Atk/60 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
Basically sets up sandstorm, leaves, and comes back late in the game for an attempted sweep. CBtar is probably better off here, and I am thinking pursuit should be on here somewhere. Advice appreciated. I am not totally against the Tyraniboah idea either.
Gengar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Scarfgar. Acts as my Rapid Spin blocker and sleep inducer. Piled up the SDef EV's to help it survive a Starmie/Tentacruel surf or something in case I mispredict, and its main form of attack will be hypnosis in the early game. If you have better EV suggestions, I am open to all ideas :)
Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind
- Rest
Strange moveset, but it needs Psychic for Mixape, Ice Beam for dragons and calm mind to stop otehr calm minders or to sweep late game. Rest to stop status and heal.
Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/244 Def/12 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
Speed EV's to outspeed other Skarm's and taunt. This think just outstalled an entire team lol. No attacks may seem gimmicky but its effective so far. Also needed for phazing.
Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
Pretty standard Forrettress. Sets up SR, TS and gets out of there. Protect to inflict further toxicity, although Rest or Gyro Ball may be better options. Advice please.
Blissey (F) @ Leftovers

EVs: 4 HP/252 Def/252 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy
- Softboiled
- Thunder Wave
- Seismic Toss
Not much to say. Thunder wave for fliers, seismic toss for easy damage, aromatherapy to heal status/rests. Softboiled for recovery. I had Wish/Protect/Aromatherapy/SToss but I think thats illegal and wishpassing isnt really needed on this team.
Idea is set up SR, TS and spikes, and just stall to death. T-tar sweeps what he can in the end, with Gengar hopefully doing his job in the middle. Rate away, and don't be afraid to be harsh.
