Welcome to the first phase of the 6th PUWC!! Last year, China came out on top taking down US South in finals, but with a brand new metagame it’s anyone’s time to shine and take home the trophy and custom avatar!

Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for us to make decisions for activity calls when we can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your captains know ASAP so they can communicate that to the hosts or the other team's captains for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag the hosts, the captains of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Post replays. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later. Your win won't be counted without a replay
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

SV PU: hex vs. Cielau - glaciares teamkil :( hex had a good pools showing even if the hyph usage knocks them down a few pegs, and while cielau is no slouch i imagine they're being passed here
SV PU: DripLegend vs. Esteb4n - big highlight, drip's been showing up big time lately though with swiss finals so i'll give him the nod
SV PU: Fusien vs. Platum - see above but platum won swiss and def knows this meta better
SV PU: avarice vs. Lambovino - remember bud tspikes are bad in this tier
SV PU: MZ vs. Hiko - another huge highlight, although i've yet to see hiko put up any insane results in this tier since love tour and mz is riding off a decent scl despite kinda floundering in pools
SV PU: TJ vs. Micciu - micciu the goat, enough said
SV PU: Bella vs. dunoks - the real battle here will be the scheduling
SV PU: tko vs. yandaud - don't see much reason to doubt tko even if he will be occupied with scl

SV PU: Piyu vs. etern - regardless of who wins here there's gonna be some crazy shit going on in the builder

SV PU: freezai vs. xcx - the foul shit i've seen gum cook up in tests is enough to give the bold

SV PU: NoName6293 vs. feen - i have absolutely 0 clue what noname is up to in this tier but i do know his fundies are solid enough

don't actually expect benelux v nordics to go 6-2, good few of those matchups could swing either way. assuming i'm correct on the other two i have superwest + india for tiebreaks.
