[Overview]

With both Spikes and good offensive pressure, Cloyster works as a potent suicide lead. Shell Smash combined with Focus Sash, Skill Link, and STAB Icicle Spear lets it reliably set up and OHKO leads like Excadrill and Slurpuff through their Focus Sashes. Its access to Rapid Spin is also valuable, compacting the role of entry hazard remover. Knock Off users such as Yveltal especially like Spikes because they can remove Heavy-Duty Boots, which helps them sweep later on. However, Cloyster is held back by its low Speed, making it susceptible to Taunt; also, its poor typing and defensive stats mean that it will be on the field only once most of the time. Finally, it faces severe competition with other leads, with Froslass and Aerodactyl having great Speed and Taunt for more consistent hazard setting, Shuckle having Sturdy + Mental Herb, and Galvantula and Ribombee having great Speed alongside paralysis.

[SET COMMENTS]

Spikes is the main reason to use Cloyster. Shell Smash and Icicle Spear punish Pokemon that stay in on it without attacking such as Ho-Oh, Eternatus, and Ferrothorn; in addition, it is one of the fastest Pokemon in the metagame after Shell Smash. Rapid Spin stops other suicide leads like Excadrill, Slurpuff, and Aerodactyl from setting their entry hazards freely. A Jolly nature can be chosen over Adamant, at the cost of a bit of power, for boosted Cloyster to outspeed Choice Scarf Yveltal, Adamant Regieleki, and more generally any Choice Scarf users under base 110 Speed.

Spikes is great support for heavily offensive teams, allowing threats like Zekrom, Groudon, and Kyogre to wear down their common checks, namely Necrozma-DM, Tangrowth, and Blissey. Fast Taunt users like Yveltal are also great, as they can prevent Spikes from being removed by slow Defoggers; plus, being able to spam Knock Off and thus remove Heavy-Duty Boots is a great synergy which Spikes. Finally, Eternatus, especially its offensive set, appreciate Cloyster luring in Yveltal and Ho-Oh, as it severely punishes them with Meteor Beam.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

Explosion can be used to inflict surprise high damage to any Pokemon that would like to Defog, in addition to preventing it from being used. Liquidation punishes Pokemon that resist Icicle Spear, but the average Attack of Cloyster means that any Pokemon not weak to Water will not take a lot of damage from it, even after Shell Smash. Toxic Spikes can be chosen as a better option against offensive teams.

Checks and Counters
====

**Necrozma-DM**: With Necrozma-DM's astonishing bulk and Steel typing, Cloyster will do little to no damage to it, even when boosted. Moreover, it can set Stealth Rock easily, and its use of Rocky Helmet can spinblock Cloyster effectively.

**Taunt**: Leads like Grimmsnarl and Froslass can use Taunt before Cloyster can do anything, preventing it from setting up Spikes. Froslass is also immune to Rapid Spin and can set several layers of Spikes for its team before being taken down by Icicle Spear.

**Fast Pivots**: Pivots like Regieleki and Pheromosa can break Cloyster's Focus Sash with Volt Switch or U-turn and come back later in the game to use Rapid Spin. Their common use of Heavy-Duty Boots also means that they won't be damaged by Cloyster's Spikes.

**Strong Attackers**: Pokemon like Kyogre and Calyrex-S can limit Cloyster to a single layer of Spikes before KOing it or forcing it to switch. Calyrex-S also spinblocks Cloyster, and Choice Scarf sets can cripple it with Trick and outspeed it even after Shell Smash. Kyogre's Thunder can additionally paralyze Cloyster, but it's afraid of taking a boosted Explosion.

[Overview]

With the access to both Spikes and Toxic Spikes good offensive pressure, Cloyster works as a potent suicide lead. Shell Smash combined with Skill Link and a STAB Icicle Spear allows it to be surprisingly menacing against leads like Excadrill and Slurpuff by bypassing their Focus Sash and OHKO them when boosted. Meanwhile, it can set up on almost every hit it could take thanks to its own Focus Sash. Its access to Rapid Spin is valuable, compacting the role of hazard's remover. Knock Off abusers such as Yveltal especially likes the support provided by Spikes as they can remove Heavy-Duty Boots, which help them sweep later on.
However, it has several flaws; its low speed makes it sensitive to Taunt; its low Special Defense and HP means that it is likely to be OHKO by any attacks; (This doesn't feel relevant given Focus Sash as the item and how you mentioned it can take any 1 hit to set up, moving a quick mention to the next sentence) Its poor typing and defensive stats means that it will usable only once. Finally, it will be most of the time outclassed by other leads, namely Froslass and Shuckle small explanation of what they have over it (Taunt, webs + rocks) would help.

Spikes is the main interest to play Cloyster, as they give constant damages along the game. Shell Smash combined with Icicle Spear and Skill Link are here to punish any Pokemon that would like to stay without attacking him; in addition it is one of the fastest Pokemon in the tier after Shell Smash. Rapid Spin allow him finally to not let other suicid lead set up their entry hazards freely. Talk about Adamant vs Jolly, the things I can think of for Jolly are just scarf yvel/xern and anything faster like +attack nature eleki and other scarfers, mention the power difference from ada though and talk about if there's any specific calcs the power matters for

Spikes and Toxic Spikes are a great support for heavily offensive team, allowing breakers like Zekrom, Groudon and Kyogre to bypass wear down their common checks SD Zacian can be added here, and touch on a few of the checks to these mons that don't run boots commonly that get worn down. Fast Taunter like Yveltal are also great, as they can prevent Spikes from being removed by the slow defoggers of the tier mention Yvel's ability to spam knock off also, removing boots to let spikes do more chip. To fill this out more I'd also mention a few more really common HO picks, with things like Meteor Beam Eternatus to bait Ho-Oh and Yveltal from defogging.

Explosion can be used to inflict surprise high damages to any Pokemon that would like to Defog, in addition to prevent Defog. Liquidation punish Pokemon that resist Icicle Spear, but the insufficient average Attack (95 isn't insufficient imo, just kinda average) of Cloyster means that any Pokemon that it is not weak to Water type moves will not take a lot of damage from it, even after Shell Smash. Toxic Spikes can be chose over Spikes as a better option against offensive oriented teams, as most of the Pokemon in those teams will be frail to poison.

Checks and Counters
====

**Necrozma-Dusk-Mane**: With an astonishing bulk and Steel types, Cloyster will do little to no damages to him, even boosted. Moreover, it can set up Stealth Rock easily, and its common use of Rocky Helmet makes him even harder for Cloyster to do anything.

**Taunter**: Leads like Grimmsnarl and Froslass can both taunt Cloyster before he can do anything, preventing him to set up Spikes. Froslass especially is also immune to Rapid Spin and in fact can set up several Spikes for its team before being taken down by Icicle Spear.

Remember to use "it" instead of he/him when referring to a Pokemon

Sturdy + Red Card and the access to Sticky Web for Shuckle.
Mental Herb is the main item slashed on Shuckle, and pairs well with the previous sentiment that Cloyster is vulnerable to Taunt. There are also other hazard leads you could mention here like Galvantula.

Shell Smash combined with Icicle Spear and Skill Link are here to punish any Pokemon that would like to stay without attacking him
More of a GP thing, but avoid the use of gendered pronouns when talking about Pokemon. I also think this sentiment could be better communicated by actually saying what you're trying to avoid, which is Pokemon setting up against Cloyster or using passive means to try and combat it (Defog anti-hazard or Toxic / stalling).

Rapid Spin allow him finally to not let other suicid lead set up their entry hazards freely.
You need to explicitly name drop these other hazard leads.

The Jolly Nature can be chose, to the cost of a bit of power, to outspeed scarf variant of Yveltal and Adamant Regieleki and more generally any scarf variations of under 110 base Speed.
Clarify this is when boosted. Also, is there anything Jolly Cloyster outspeeds that is important prior to boosting?

For Checks and Counters are there any other hazard leads or anti-leads besides Grim and Froslass that beat cloyster? What about Pokemon that are capable of serving as anti-hazard against it? Also I would add a section for Pokemon that can limit Cloyster to a single layer of spikes.

Implement these and I'll stamp.

Sorry for the delay on this one.
Mental Herb is the main item slashed on Shuckle, and pairs well with the previous sentiment that Cloyster is vulnerable to Taunt. There are also other hazard leads you could mention here like Galvantula.
I changed the paragraph on leads, and I mentionned the use of Mental Herb rather than Red Card. I also implemented a mention to fast and paralysing moves users (that include both Galvantula and Ribombee).

My bad, I fixed it. I mention passive Pokemons that Cloyster can threaten with a boost.

You need to explicitly name drop these other hazard leads.
I mentionned two Pokemon that Cloyster can beat with its own set with few to no counterplay (Excadrill isn't that common as a lead, so if you think that it's not necessary to mention it, I can simply delete it).

Clarify this is when boosted. Also, is there anything Jolly Cloyster outspeeds that is important prior to boosting?
Done. I tried to find some Pokemon that Jolly Cloyster outspeed prior to boosting, but I only found Offensive Necrozma-Dusk-Mane as a relevant Pokemon to talk about, and it's not that relevant as you don't want to let it boosts while you can't pressure him, even with boosts from Shell Smash. So I feel that there's no Pokemon that is relevant to talk about Jolly Cloyster at +0.

For Checks and Counters are there any other hazard leads or anti-leads besides Grim and Froslass that beat cloyster? What about Pokemon that are capable of serving as anti-hazard against it? Also I would add a section for Pokemon that can limit Cloyster to a single layer of spikes.
I added a paragraph on fast pivot (which include Regieleki and Pheromosa), which can break its focus sash and come back later in the game to Spin.
I also added a mention to Scarfers, which are the Pokemon capable of limiting Cloyster to a single layer of Spikes.

Implement these and I'll stamp.

I tried my best, let me know if something is missing !

**Scarfers**: With their good bulk and increased Speed with the use of Choice Scarf, Kyogre and Calyrex-Shadow are both capable of limiting Cloyster to a single layer of Spikes before KOs it or forcing it to switch. With Trick, Calyrex is annoying as it can lock Cloyster on a single move for the rest of the game while being able to act as spinblocker. (I changed the header from Scarf because Scarf doesn't change whether Kyogre can outspeed; it outspeeds unboosted Cloyster and can't outspeed after shell smash, whether or not it runs Scarf. That's also why i reworded stuff with Scarf Calyrex-S. If "Strong Attackers" should be something different or reworded, go right ahead and change it, so long as it makes sense with the listed examples. If "outspeed it even after Shell Smash" isnt that relevant, you can remove it.)
