Is doge
[Pros]

Has a fast volt switch to gain momentum

Access to Overheat and Flamethrower sets it apart from other Electric types such as Jolteon

Got it's very own Mega Evolution, which makes it even faster and gives it better bulk with Intimidate

Can nab a Lightningrod Boost before it mega evolves, making it very strong with Thunderbolts coming off of 105 or 135 Special attack

Immune to Paralysis and doesn't mind Burn

[Cons]

Even After it mega evolves, it still has mediocre 70/80/80 defenses

Special Move Nerfs hurt it, as it's Hidden Power is noticeably weaker

Vulnerable to all Entry Hazards, Hates Sticky Web and Spikes

Other than the Mega Evolution, outclassed by Raikou and Zapdos

[Set Recommendations]

Manectric @ Manectrite
Ability: Lightningrod -> Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)/Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
-Volt Switch
-Overheat/Flamethrower
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice/Protect

 • Capitalizes on Manetric's ability to be a pivot with Volt Switch and Intimidate
 • Volt Switch allows quick momentum, and can force many switches
 • Overheat hits the Grass Types that resist electric moves, and hits hard, but basically holds an "I'm Switching" Sign above your head
 • Flamethrower is more reliable and doesnt lower attack
 • Thunderbolt is a good Secondary STAB that is good for late game cleaning
 • Hidden Power Ice, while somewhat weak, Hits Garchomp, Zygrade and Gliscor harder than any other move.
 • Protect can be useful to get that Speed boost after the Mega Evolution

[Checks and Counters]

 • Ground Types like Garchomp can come in on Thunderbolt and hit with Earthquake, but cannot switch into Hidden Power Ice
 • Dedicated special walls such as Blissey and Goodra take next to nothing from any move
 • Scarfers such as Haxorus and Rotom can outspeed no matter what the nature, while Scarfed Politoed and any Weavile will outspeed a Modest version
 • Tyranitar can tank a couple hits and deal heavy damage
 • Mega Gengar can trap Manectric and OHKO with some prior damage, Jolly Dugtrio can outspeed OHKO outright
 • Opposing Manectric and Zapdos can benefit from immunities to Manectrics Electric moves
 • Bisharp and Malimar benefit from Intimidate, and Bisharp can do hefty damage with STAB sucker punch

Hi.

In the pros section, I'd like you to mention how after Mega Evolution, it's able to outrun important Mega Evolutions as well as naturally fast Pokemon. For this same reason, I'd also like you to implement the Timid nature, as it allows Mega Manectric to outrun Adamant Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Gengar, and Adamant +1 Dragonite and Gyarados after Mega evolution.

I would also find a way to implement Protect somewhere in the set, since it's a valuable move on Manectric and gives it leeway in evolving and getting that Speed boost. It also allows Manectric to check Talonflame thanks to its higher speed, resistance to Brave Bird, and Intimidate blocking out the damage somewhat. Also mention how Manectric is one of the few Electric-types that doesn't quite suffer the Hidden Power nerf due to it having alternative coverage moves in verheat and Flamethower.

Doesnt Flamethrower deserve a mention somewehere? It gives Manectric much better late gaming potential, and i dont think it really misses on any important kills, tho i havent checked on Aegislash. Imo, Timid should be the first slash as AccidentalGreed said, which i wanted to add that you outspeed Alakazam, Greninja, and Dugtrio, Noivern and Crobat if they end up being popular.

Doesn't learn Flamethrower, only Overheat. And agreeing on Timid with above posters

-It learns Flamethrower via TM therefore Slash it with Overheat.
-I would like Timid to be the main slash to outspeed thugs like Garchomp and Delphox before MEVOlving in addition to the reasons AccidentalGreed posted.
-Blissey as a counter and same with Goodra; it wont take jack shit from HP Ice.

 • Scarfers such as Terrakion, Tyranitar, and
 • Thundurus-T and Zapdos can benefit from immunities to Manectrics Electric moves
Since nobody else pointed it out, these guys need to be removed since they're not currently available. Also Tyranitar will only outspeed Modest, so if Timid is the main slash it should probably be reworded to something relating to nature ergo "blabla scarfer checks Mega Manectric, however if Manectric is a neutral speed nature then scarf ttar, bla, bla, ect can outspeed too" or just remove mention of scarfers that require it to be neutral speed which would probably be the less popular option anyway. Although I'm not QC, just my two cents.

This is QC ready so change the title so that other QC members are aware and can check it. Also change the format of the set to the new format posted by user sevendeadlysins as a sticky here.

This is megaManectric and iirc Ttar does not outspeed, change the wording for checks and counters and mention that ttar can take any hit and do solid damage in return.

QC APPROVED 1/3

You got 2 stamps now so you can write this up fully bobbyvaporeon. You did not change the moveslot structure to meet the new requirements laid out by SDS. To make things easier for you I pasted it below:

name: <SET NAME>
move 1:
move 2:
move 3:
move 4:
ability:

evs:
nature:

I think there should be a Choice Specs/Scarf set. I mean, if you're already using a different Mega stone, but need an Electric type, why not Choice Specs. Plus it gets Switcheroo, which can really hurt the opponent's switch ins if they don't expect it.

I would think it would be outclassed in that role by Thundurhs-T and Jolteon.

What do you mean when you said Protect is used to get the Speed Boost after Mega Evolution?
manectric becomes faster after mega evolution; however, turn priority is determined at the beginning of the turn, so said speed boost will not take place until the turn after. using protect gives you a turn to safely allow m-manectric to reach top speed without being outrun by pokes in-between.

Ahhh. Ok I get it now, but are sure? I always thought that turn order goes after Mega Evolving stat calculation. Like if Charizard Mega Evolved into Y and Drought ability gave Chlorro Venusaur the speed to go first instead.

it has always worked that way. if a fast pokemon uses tailwind in a doubles match, it will not give its partner additional speed until the following turn. same goes for changing weather, etc. turn priority is determined once in the beginning of the turn, prior to all switches and mega evolutions (hence why faster pokemon always switch first or mega evolve first) and then again at the end, where sandstorm damage / leftovers are taken into account.
