Quick Elimination + Sweeping [2nd OU TEAM]

INTRODUCTION: Hey guys, I'm back with my second RMT here on Smogon. This time with a more Offensive Version take on teams. The idea for this team is to quickly get some Pokes out of play with some prediction and start finish up with my Calm Mind Sweepers. [Calm Minders are the best stat-up sweepers IMO]

BRONZONG

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bronzong @ Shed Shell
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/166 Def/92 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Hypnosis
- Gyro Ball
- Explosion
Comments / Thoughts:
The old Bronzong of D/P.
Bronzong is a great transition Pokemon and serves as my answer to Tyranitar.
Shed Shell due to the increased popularity of Magnezone. It sets up the crucial Rocks.
It can Sleep one Poke which is essentially one less Poke to worry about.
That's so helpful, it can really sway the game in my direction. Explosion is to take something else out when I'm done with this guy.
Kingdra
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kingdra @ Leftovers
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Speed / 96 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Waterfall
- Hydro Pump

Comments / Thoughts:
Kingdra is my 1st Piece of Elimination.
What can I say?
This thing breaks walls so well and can even take Trick from anything.
The EVs are more bulky because I realized I might end up relying on Kingdra to beat Infernape more often than I intended when Team Building.

SALAMENCE

salamence.png

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 80 HP/252 SAtk/176 Spe
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Brick Break
- Fire Blast
- Roost
Comments / Thoughts:
Classic MixMence is the 2nd Line of generic Wall-Breaking.
Seriously though, with some prediction this beast can take out 1 Pokemon every time it's in.
Screw the Attack EVs because Heatran ends up outspeeding anyways.
It still gets a nice dent in Tyranitar and 2HKOs Blissey.
176 Speed to outspeed Neutral Lucario since +Speed Lucario are a lot weaker to the point where the team overall can handle it.
TYRANITAR
tyranitar.png
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk - SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Tail
- Pursuit
- Crunch

__________________________________________________ ____________
Comments / Thoughts:
The 3rd generic Poke crusher.
It's more like the Special Complement of Salamence easily switching in on many Bulky Special Attackers especially Zapdos. This beast is so powerful that it 2HKOs every member of a Stall Team with ease.

CELEBI
celebi.png

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Nature Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def - Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Recover
__________________________________________________ ____________
Comments / Thoughts:
I figured I needed some sort of sweeper and a Gyarados Counter AND a backup answer to some stuff like Scizor.
I also needed a useful Status Absorber for Paralysis.
Who else? CM Celebi! Grass + Fire provides nice coverage.
The Defenses mean Lucario running +Spe won't have enough power to kill this before I get off a solid Hidden Power Fire.
JIRACHI
jirachi.png
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Spe/ 220 Def
Bold Nature (+Def -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Wish

__________________________________________________ ____________

Comments / Thoughts:
Well, this was on my last team and is on this team as well.
Why? Because it's such a freakin' beast at Late-Game sweeping. Mid-game, it easily helps the team with Wish. Early game, Serene Grace and over 10 resists are easy to exploit.
Overall, it's a solid Poke and fits the roles of what this team needs.

I think I covered most of the threats decently, but I'm not sure if where I should improve this team so ALL comments welcome. Thanks for reading this far!

How does Celebi counter Scizor as it is 4x weak to bug? It seems like other DDMences can wreak havoc as you have 2x weakness to dragon and 3 to fire and 1 to ground, all of which are types of the standard DDMence. Once Bronzong is gone, your team can be swept pretty easily as you have little speed and no priority moves on your team. Instead of Tyranitar, you should try Weavile as it can Pursuit, and can have priority with Ice Shard. Your team is so ridiculously weak to DDMence it is hard to tell you what can be done as Bronzong will even be 2HKO'd by a Fire Fang from Mence so there's not much else to say. Plus, if Ttar goes down you really don't have an answer to a phazing Zapdos and your team is pretty CM Suicune weak. I know your team is offensive based, but it seems like it can be walled and swept with ease. I don't know if I am alone here, but that is just my point of view.

Celebi outspeeds Scizor and exploits Scizor's 4x Weak I never said it's a Scizor "counter". It's more of a backup because even after an SD, Scizor isn't killing Celebi with Bullet punch.

Of course if my Salamence Counter dies, it's gonna sweep me.......how is that any help whatsoever?
Bronzong can hurt Salamence really bad. Not to mention, Jirachi can come in on Outrages and land a Psychic.....MixMence is all about Prediction......

If more people actually consider Salamence to be that large of a threat, I might switch Kingdra. But so far, I've had no trouble with mence whatsoever.

AND as for your last line, what walls this team?

Your team doesn't hit that hard for an offensive team in general outside of CB Tar. I would change Mence to the new Platinum Mence to help with that weakness. You also sorely lack any revenge killing outside of CB Pursuit. Scarf Jirachi can help solve your Mence problem.
Celebi's role on the team is dead weight IMO. I feel the same with Kingdra, since you don't have Rain Dance. Kingdra can be changed to something like Hariyama with Stone Edge, who can take care of your Zapdos weak (since Drill Peck is rarely seen around iirc). If you don't want a bulky offense, run the Platinum Mixape. CC/Stone Edge/Overheat or Fire Blast/Grass Knot. Grass Knot also helps somewhat with the Offensive Cune, since it can 2HKO.

If you want a true CM Cune counter though, get rid of Celebi and replace it with an Offensive Zapdos. It can easily take care of most Suicune sets with T-bolt.

Even though it outspeeds it, how does it plan on switching into it? You would have to sacrifice something to safely switch into it and taht isn't really an effective "counter." I do see what you mean by saying it can be used as a backup for a last resort.

Suicune (roar), Registeel, Milotic (Hypnosis the Jirachi), Vaporeon (roar), Bulky Heatran can wall your team if Kingdra is gone...

On the other hand, your team CAN be swept easily because it has a low amount of speed. I totally agree with Scarfchomp in that your team doesn't hit hard enough imo outside of Ttar because all of your guys must set up.

Porygon-Z can also cause trouble with NP, Tri-Attack, Dark Pulse and HP Fighting.Other DD mences can sweep as mentioned above and Infernape is trouble with HP Ice, Flamethrower, and CC which can 2HKO Zong.

Bronzong first, run EQ over Hypnosis, i mean, that shaky accuracy isn't going to cut it, and missing with a such a slow pokemon could very well mean giving your opponent a free kill. EQ whacks Maggy down to size, unfortunately i don't know how many attack EVs it takes to kill Maggy, i used to run 148 atk without a boosting nature in a rain team and it killed Maggy, but i wouldn't know how much the exact value is. maybe i'll go find out and come back later.

Classic MixMence is a bit underpowered, i feel, running the new generation MixMence works much better in that spot, for more brute force. It breaks walls much better too and has Outrage to cleanup, so i think it makes a better addition than Classic MixMence.

Go Timid 252HP/80SpAtk/176Spd on Jirachi, HP is to make Jira bulky, SpAtk to help in beating Bliss, and speed to outspeed positive base 90s, or you can just pump one more in speed to outrun those that pump just enough for positive base 90s, it helps to get that extra attack in on Mence or Zapdos. Substitute works better than wish, considering Celebi can come in and wall the crap out of you and TWave, granted you can switch out, but why would you want to if you can just Sub and continue CMing?

Infernape beats the hell out of this team, MixApe, to be more accurate. It's definitely going to take a hell out of Kingdra too, if you keep using him to switch into Infernape. Just one misprediction into Close Combat and Kingdra is dead. I'm in a mindblock right now so i can't really give any good suggestions on how to solve the Ape problem, making Salamence scarf could help with revenge but you'll lose a LOT of offense, making Celebi Sassy might help it to take one attack and OHKO with Psychic, but it might be a little overspecialised, i'll try to think of something, unless another member thinks of it first.

Celebi outspeeds Scizor and exploits Scizor's 4x Weak I never said it's a Scizor "counter". It's more of a backup because even after an SD, Scizor isn't killing Celebi with Bullet punch.

Rightfully so, but Celebi can't OHKO back if Scizor has max HP, even after Stealth Rock. However, the 32 HP Scizor from the analysis can be OHKOed after Stealth Rock, but it requires 24 EV in SpAtk to guarantee it. You could simply take them out of HP and Defence, running 240 HP, 208 Def, 24 SpA, 36 Spe (36 EV in Speed are actually enough to outrun Tyranitar even with the 30 IV stat).

Well, you could try to run Heatproof on Zong and use EQ as suggested above to solve the Infernape problem. Another option is to give either Kingdra a scarf, or to completely remove a poke if you do not wish to give zong Heatproof. But that is the best option to deal with Infernape as well as Heatran and other fire pokes.
