I'm building my first competitive team, and I need to ask an important question before I get too far into making the team. How viable is Mega Heracross Trick Room team? As in, a team focused around using Trick Room to give a Mega Heracross with Brave Nature the ability to outspeed lots of things and deal lots of damage.

I was going to just build a team around Mega Heracross with Jolly Nature and 252 Speed EV's, but that would give Heracross just average speed. I didn't really want to invest so much in speed if it would just give an average result, so I tried to think of ways to make Heracross faster, and I immediately thought of Trick Room.

I'm really new to competitive battling, so I don't know if this is a viable strategy to base a team around. If this is the wrong place to post this, please direct me to a more appropriate location. Thanks!
 
It definitely could work, especially since MHera is not a fast Pokemon. Just remember to have 0 EVs/IVs in Speed, Brave Nature, and to try and have Trick Room up at all times.

Reuniclus is a pretty good Trick Room-er you could use. Bisharp is a good teammate which already doesn't really run any speed and has priority Sucker Punch. Talonflame is a problem though, so having Rotom-W as another teammate is a good idea for checking Talonflame. You should also have something that is typically fast so you can clean up once your Trick Room is gone, such as Scarfed Latios.
