Masquerain functions as a threatening Quiver Dance sweeper thanks to its high-powered STAB attacks and extensive coverage, including rare access to Hydro Pump, which allow it to pressure opposing teams while being less reliant on Terastallization than comparable sweepers like Lilligant. Hydro Pump hits Charizard, Pyroar, and Carbink and, together with Hurricane, provides neutral coverage for the entire metagame. Tera Blast Steel lets Masquerain beat targets such as Carbink and Articuno reliably, as well as set up more easily on targets like Gogoat and Misdreavus that can otherwise threaten it with coverage. Alternatively, Tera Water boosts Hydro Pump's damage output further and improves its matchup against Fire-types like Charizard. Other coverage options include Ice Beam, which helps Masquerain reliably beat Gabite, and Bug Buzz, which gives Masquerain a more reliable STAB move that can threaten Dark- and Psychic-types like Alolan Persian and Indeedee-F and deal neutral damage to threats like Raichu.

Masquerain appreciates teammates like Raichu, Electrode, Alolan Persian, and Lumineon that can bring it in safely with pivoting moves. Raichu can also notably use Tera Water or Tera Ice to check fast Electric-types like Choice Scarf Rotom-F and generate free switch-in and setup opportunities for Masquerain with Encore. Ground-types like Whiscash, Alolan Dugtrio, and Gabite can reliably switch into and threaten Tinkatuff, which can cripple Masquerain with Thunder Wave or Encore; Whiscash also greatly helps against Choice Scarf Lycanroc-N, which outspeeds and can revenge kill Masquerain after one boost, and facilitates wallbreaking with Spikes, while Masquerain and Alolan Dugtrio can set up on each other's checks. Grass-types like Gogoat and Lilligant can switch into some Electric-types like Electrode and Pokemon like Whiscash that may threaten Masquerain with Rock-type coverage; they also pressure Pokemon like Carbink better alongside Masquerain. In return, Masquerain can pressure targets like Charizard and Articuno depending on its Tera type. Indeedee-F can provide Masquerain with Healing Wish support, allowing it to attempt setup more than once in a game, as well as Psychic Terrain to prevent priority users like Skuntank and Honchkrow from revenge killing Masquerain if it has already Terastallized.

Masquerain functions as a threatening Quiver Dance setup sweeper thanks to its high-power STAB attacks and extensive coverage, including rare access to Hydro Pump, which allow it to pressure opposing teams while being less reliant on Terastallization than comparable sweepers like Lilligant. Hydro Pump hits Fire-types like Charizard, Pyroar, and specially defensive Camerupt and together with Hurricane provides neutral coverage for the entire metagame. (also beats carbink without needing to tera) Tera Blast, along with Tera Steel, lets Masquerain beat targets such as Carbink and Articuno reliably, as well as set up more easily on targets like Gogoat and Misdreavus that can otherwise threaten it with coverage. Alternatively, Tera Water boosts Hydro Pump's damage output farther and improves its matchup against Fire-types like Charizard. Other coverage options include Ice Beam, which reliably beats Gabite, and Bug Buzz, which gives Masquerain a more reliable STAB move and can threaten Dark- and Psychic-types like Alolan Persian and Indeedee-F and deal neutral damage to threats like Raichu. Intimidate eases setup against physical attackers like Perrserker. Heavy-Duty Boots are necessary as Masquerain is 4x weak to Stealth Rock. these both feel p self explanatory and idt there's a reason to explain what they do, idt masq even has another ability ever worth using anyway

Masquerain appreciates teammates that can bring it in safely with pivoting moves like Alolan Persian, Electrode, Lumineon, and Raichu; the former can cripple would-be checks like Tauros (not rly a mon to worry abt honestly, it doesnt beat u after a qd anyway but i also cant think of some relevant twave target here outside of super situational stuff that's not worth mentioning) with Thunder Wave and create easier setup opportunities with Parting Shot on top of Masquerain's Intimidate, and the latter can check fast Electric-types like Scarf Rotom-F with Tera Water or Tera Ice. Lumineon (lumineon in this meta is a slight sneak) and Raichu, along with Tinkatuff, can also generate free switch-in and setup opportunities for Masquerain with Encore. Ground-types like Gabite and Alolan Dugtrio can reliably switch into and threaten Tinkatuff, which can cripple Masquerain with Thunder Wave or Encore; Gabite also greatly helps against Scarf Lycanroc-N which outspeeds and can revenge kill Masquerain after one boost. (feel like whiscash is a better example cuz imo it's better + spikes help masq a lot)(worth mentioning that masq and wigtrio setup on each other's checks) Grass-types like Gogoat and Lilligant can switch into some Electric-types like Electrode and other Pokemon that may threaten Masquerain with Rock coverage like Whiscash, and in return they appreciate Masquerain being able to beat Fire-types like Pyroar and Charizard after activating Tera Water or a Quiver Dance boost, or Articuno if Masquerain is running Tera Steel. (both of these scenarios hinge on something already pretty situational but also require the opponent to not tera themselves, so not rly worth including me thinks. i think it's good to mention that they have similar answers though so they can overwhelm them for each other) Indeedee-F can provide Masquerain with Healing Wish support, allowing it to attempt setup more than once in a game, as well as Psychic Terrain to prevent priority users like Skuntank and Honchkrow from revenge killing Masquerain if it has already Terastallized.

Raichu can also notably use Tera Water or Tera Ice to check fast Electric-types like Choice Scarf Rotom-F and generate free switch-in and setup opportunities for Masquerain with Encore. (split the original sentence + removed the tinkatuff mention to keep things concise and about the pivot move guys. you can also make the bit about encore its own sentence and talk about "encore users like tinkatuff and raichu" rather than just raichu.) Ground-types like Whiscash, Alolan Dugtrio, and Gabite can reliably switch into and threaten Tinkatuff, which can cripple Masquerain with Thunder Wave or Encore; Whiscash also greatly helps against Choice Scarf Lycanroc-N, (AC) which outspeeds and can revenge kill Masquerain after one boost, and facilitates easier wallbreaking with Spikes, while Masquerain and Alolan Dugtrio can set up on each other's checks. In return, Masquerain can pressure targets like Charizard and Articuno depending on its Tera type. (i dropped "other" from "other Pokemon" bc i think it's a little ambiguous and could possibly imply electric-types threaten masq with rock moves.)
