Set Details

- Quiver Dance Volcarona's main role on a team is to be a powerful sweeper that can use its powerful Fire-type STABs to run through teams after a few turns of setup. Its best niche is its amazing matchup against teams centered around Zamazenta and Calyrex-S, using its typing and stat boosts to wall these two powerful restricted Pokemon.
- Giga Drain is a great coverage option for Volcarona, allowing it to OHKO Urshifu-R at +1 while giving it a good healing option. Meanwhile, Struggle Bug is used as an option to support Volcarona's teammates against Pokemon like Miraidon, Calyrex-S, and Terapagos. Fiery Dance is a good Fire-type STAB that has a chance to give Volcarona further boosts, while Flamethrower is a slightly stronger option, and Heat Wave is a less consistent spread option.
- The Defense boost from Electric Seed makes it easy for Volcarona to wall Pokemon like Zamazenta, Zacian, and Calyrex-I. Leftovers is used as a consistent chip heal to give Volcarona a little bit more longevity.
- The Defense investment gives Volcarona a 50% chance to live Wild Charge from Iron Hands in Electric Terrain, and a 70% chance to live Burned Ursaluna Facade with the +1 Defense boost from Electric Seed. The 20 Special Attack EVs gives Volcarona better rolls against Amoonguss and Zamazenta with Fiery Dance or Flamethrower. With 132 Speed EVs, a Timid Nature, and +1 Speed from Quiver Dance, Volcarona is able to outspeed Calyrex-S.
