name: Focus Sash
move 1: Sheer Cold
move 2: Sing
move 3: Gastro Acid
move 4: Stealth Rock / Dynamic Punch
item: Focus Sash
ability: No Guard
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Focus Sash compensates for Mega Lopunny's poor bulk and allows it to freely switch moves. Sheer Cold is Mega Lopunny's primary weapon, OHKOing everything without Wonder Guard or fringe Sturdy. Sing takes advantage of Mega Lopunny's ability to force switches, putting opposing Wonder Guard switch-ins to sleep, and has additional utility through bypassing Substitute. Gastro Acid is used to force switches from Wonder Guard users that switch into Sheer Cold with impunity, allowing the user to use Sing on switches or make easier double switches into other teammates. Stealth Rock is used to sustain chip damage against opposing Wonder Guard users, while Dynamic Punch takes advantage of Mega Lopunny's Attack stat to threaten opposing Wonder Guard users weak to the move, such as Slaking, Arceus, and Mega Lucario. Maximum HP and Speed investment allows Mega Lopunny to outspeed as much as possible while also maximizing its overall bulk; If running attacking moves such as Dynamic Punch, HP investment should be forgone for Attack to maximize damage.

Mega Lopunny usually benefits best from being placed on fast-paced Offensive teams that like to quickly gain momentum and force switches. Some notable teammates include Mold breaker users such as Primal Groudon and Mega Latios that take advantage of foes that are put to sleep by Mega Lopunny and also benefit from the chip damage Mega Lopunny gives with Stealth Rock. Shadow Tag Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Lugia are appreciated for their ability to remove Wonder Guard users and enable Mega Lopunny to sweep teams. However, Mega Lopunny will need sufficient hazard control if it hopes to keep it's Focus Sash intact. It benefits from Defog Users such as Wonder Guards and Magic Bounce users. These Pokemon also can slowly pivot so Mega Lopunny has a safer time getting on the field.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Priority Revenge Killers** Mega Lopunny can be revenge killed in many ways, ranging from Extreme Speed users such as Regigigas, Slaking, and -ate speed users to Water Shuriken Mega Gyarados, Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza, and even Prankster Giratina running Spore, Dark Void, or Destiny Bond.

**Wonder Guard Users**: While Mega Lopunny is meant to dismantle and force switches between Wonder Guard users, they can still block Trick with items like Mail, Mega Stones, and Primal Orbs. Magic Coat or Magic Bounce users can bounce back Sing and Hazards. Some Wonder Guard users also run attacks such as Xerneas with Moonblast or Kyogre-Primal with Scald and can force Lopunny-Mega out.

**Faster Pokemon**: Faster Pokemon, like Mega Mewtwo Y, Deoxys-S, and Choice Scarf users, can threaten Focus Sash Mega Lopunny out. Additionally, some Choice Scarf users, like Mega Mewtwo Y and No Guard Deoxys-S, can also outspeed Choice Scarf Mega Lopunny and threaten it. Choice Scarf Shadow Tag users, like Mega Rayquaza and Primal Groudon, can outspeed and KO chipped Focus Sash Mega Lopunny. However, most of these options require pivoting support from Wonder Guard teammates to come in on Mega Lopunny safely, and Choice Scarf users naturally slower than Mega Lopunny, like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo X, are at risk of getting outsped and OHKOed by Choice Scarf Mega Lopunny.

name: Focus Sash
move 1: Sheer Cold is fissure worth putting in the main set? lop can somewhat attack flyings with no guard bolt strike/stone edge/diamond storm
move 2: Sing
move 3: Gastro Acid
move 4: Stealth Rock / Dynamic Punch / Sticky Web other hazards go in oo. also could dynamic punch be in oo? seems inherently the same as the coverage options you have listed there. i kept it in the main set for the purposes of this check though
item: Focus Sash
ability: No Guard
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Mega Lopunny's other main set is Focus Sash due to the low bulk it has its relatively low bulk and allows Mega Lopunny to always survive at least one hit. This set also allows for a lot more, as it offers more freedom of move choice over Choice Scarf due to not needing to use Trick in the early game compared to Choice Scarf sets. removed fluff + clarified, apparently you're not supposed to cross-reference sets but kept the scarf mention in case The first move here is still Sheer cCold as it's still your is Mega Lopunny's primary weapon, and OHKOing everything that's not a Wonder Guard or fringe Sturdy user. Sing is the second move choice here due to having much more flexibility in using it on Focus Sash sets than you do with Choice Scarf sets. Sing again also is used here because it takes advantage of Mega Lopunny's ability to force switches, putting opposing Wonder Guard switch-ins to sleep, and has additional utility through bypassesing sSubstitutes. removed fluff + moved + this feels more accurate + no second person writing + ratio Gastro Acid is used to force switches from Wonder Guard users that switch into Sheer Cold with impunity, and gain momentum. it also allowsing you the user to use Sing on switches or make easier double switches into other teammates. goes without saying imo The last move here is extremely flexible. fluff Stealth Rock is used to sustain chip damage against opposing Wonder Guard users, while Dynamic Punch to better capitalize on your more offensive aspects takes advantage of Mega Lopunny's Attack stat to threaten opposing Wonder Guard users weak to the move, such as Slaking, Arceus, and Mega Lucario. , and also can be an emergency move for enemy sweepers if your Focus Sash is still intact and lastly Sticky Web is if you want Mega Lopunny to be more of a suicide lead. fluff + sheer cold ohkoes most sweepers anyway The EV spread here is for maximum speed and the rest is put into HP to help bulk slightly as the other stats here don't matter much. Maximum HP and Speed investment allows Mega Lopunny to outspeed as much as possible while also maximizing its overall bulk; Iif usrunning attacking moves such as Dynamic Punch, change HP to max Attack instead HP investment should be forgone for Attack to maximize the damage dealt by the move. changed wording, the info in this paragraph is mostly fine

Mega Lopunny usually benefits best from being placed on faster-paced Ooffensive teams that like to quickly gain momentum and force switches. with some eExample teammates that work well with Mega Lopunny are such as Mewtwo-Mega-X.Rayquaza-Mega, Groudon-Primal or Latios-Mega Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Groudon, and Mega Latios. explain how mmx ray pdon lati benefit from, and support, lop + its function However, Mega Lopunny with a Focus Sash will need sufficient hazard control if it hopes to keep Focus Sash intact. It benefits from Wonder Guards with Defog and Magic Bounce Giratina with Defog. defog gira stinks Wonder Guard users with Defog and Giratina with Defog also can safely pivot so Mega Lopunny has a safer time getting on the field mention rocks support from wgs. mention offensive stags/trick users which support stag teammates on teams where the ultimate goal is for lop to sweep; also imposter could be worth a mention as lop + chansey works well as a revenge killer core, though it's weaker without scarf on lop

Other Options
=============
For Choice Scarf Mega Lopunny Spikes and Toxic Spikes are alternatives to Stealth Rock to better damage Rock-resistant foes and pressure Wonder Guard users lacking reliable recovery respectively. Sticky Web can help teams that want more speed control and enables slower partners such as Primal Groudon, Mega Rayquaza, Mega Diancie, Mega Tyranitar, and Dialga. Mega Lopunny can use some attacks such as Sacred Fire, Gunk Shot, Bolt Strike, and Dynamic Punch. However, these are fishing for specific weaknesses of certain Wonder Guard users and are much more situational, so they generally aren't the best options. Lastly, substituting Sheer Cold for fFissure can work to target ground weak Wonder Guard Users Ground-weak Wonder Guard users weak to the move, but this also falls under situational matchup fishing as Mega Lopunny must run a coverage option, such as Bolt Strike, Stone Edge or Diamond Storm, to threaten Flying-types Mega Rayquaza, Yveltal, and Ho-Oh.

Focus Sash Lopunny also has a lot of the same options, however, benefits more from the flexible move choice and has an easier time using attacks such as Sacred Fire, Gunk Shot, and Bolt Strike, and Dynamic Punch already mentioned in main set when compared to the Choice Scarf set. Also Ssimilarly to the Choice Scarf set, Fissure also may be used over Sheer cCold. hHowever, Tthese are still generally more situational matchup options, and so are usually not worth running over the utility that Gastro Acid, Stealth Rock, and a superior coverage option in Dynamic Punch provides. MENTION OTHER HAZARDS mention lum/possibly lefties as well as ebelt/lo on mu fish attacking sets if you think theyre worth mentions as well as possibly spore for easier improofing with a goggles wg

Checks and Counters

**Priority Revenge Killers** Mega Lopunny can be revenge killed in many ways, ranging from Extreme Speed users with Aerilate, Pixilate, or Refrigerate to Water Shuriken Mega Gyarados, and Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza, and even falling victim to a Prankster Giratina running Spore, Dark Void, or Destiny Bond. stag slaking/regi is probably the scariest priority rker for lop so mention them

**Wonder Guard Users**: While this set is meant to dismantle and force switches between Wonder Guard users, they can still block Trick with items like Mail, Mega Stones, and Primal Orbs or they can run Magic Coat to bounce back Stealth Rock and Sing. Some Wonder Guard users such as Xerneas and Primal Kyogre can use Moonblast and Scald to pressure Mega Lopunny out. this is worded as though trick lop is the only set, mention that lop can run team support that dismantles opposing wgs, particularly those lacking shed shell/isnt a ghost, allowing for a potential sweep

**Faster No Guard Users Pokemon**: Faster No Guard users such as Mega Mewtwo Y and Deoxys-Speed can opt to run Choice Scarf themselves to threaten Mega Lopunny while serving Mega Lopunny's role for the opponent. this seems kinda misleading as no guards arent the only faster non-prio mons that pose a threat to lop. also could be worth mentioning like scarf stag mmy which beats scarf lop + also beats sash if rocks are up/it's taken any chip

This seems to be a rewording of everything already on the page anyway: https://www.smogon.com/dex/xy/pokemon/lopunny/pure-hackmons/

Focus Sash Lopunny benefits more from the flexible move choice and has an easier time using attacks such as Sacred Fire, Gunk Shot, Bolt Strike when compared to the Choice Scarf set. However, Tthese are still generally more situational matchup options, and so are usually not worth running over the utility that Gastro Acid, Stealth Rock, and a superior coverage option in Dynamic Punch provides. Toxic Spikes, Spikes, and Sticky Web work for the same reasons as they work on Choice Scarf being Rock-Resistant pokemon or helping slower teammates.
