~Radio~

Ok, so, I haven't made an RMT in forever! I felt like posting a team that I've been having great success with and that I'm really proud of! I also have fallen deeply in love with Lana Del Rey haha, I literally just ordered Paradise and Die For Me off of Amazon! The song Radio is my absolute favorite! I've had it on repeat for about a week now! I honestly just am putting a short spiel of my love for Lana real quick - she's utterly flawless and perfect, I love her voice, face, and personality! I wish I could go to her concert ugh T_T. Tropico made me cry, I'll admit! Anyways, I know you don't really care about all that boring crap, so I'm just going to go straight into the RMT!

Meditite is my other wielder of Power. I run two Huge (Pure) Power users, or I run none. It's always how I've been, idek why! Meditite is my usual preferred over Bunnelby tho (pun intended). Fake Out gives a very nice Priority that picks off weakened foes and breaks Sashes and Sturdies. Bullet Punch smacks the many frail sweepers of LC, usually picking them off with a combo of Fake Out + Bullet Punch. Drain Punch is great, it recovers health and negates Life Orb. I chose it over High Jump Kick because of Misdreavus, amongst the horrible miss. Ice Punch nails Flying-types on the switch, while also providing a powerful move against Tangela, while just getting great coverage all around! Meditite works well in conjunction with Carvaha, as they pick off each others walls and can easily late game sweep after softening up the opposition.

Swirlix. Probably my hate to great of this generation! When I first saw it I merely dismissed it as a horrible ugly abomination, but now I've realized how cute and powerful this little candy is! I like Swirlix because I find it unpredictable. With Belly Drum also in its Arsenal, it is hard to tell if Swirlix is running Physical, Wall, or Special! I chose Special, as I found Belly Drum somewhat lacking, as Play Rough often missed at inopportune times! Flamethrower was also incredibly weak on that set. This is the set I decided on! Calm Mind bolsters Swirlix's Special Attack to an incredible 24, which is certainly powerful! Dazzling Gleam is very powerful backed by STAB, it is essentially a 120 BP move! Flamethrower is staple, as it roasts Steel-types, that threaten to wall this candy knight. Surf was chosen over Thunderbolt because I found myself forced out by Fire-types too often. Surf fixed that problem for me! Swirlix is such a great member of my team, I'm very glad I discovered it!

I'm going to be honest right now. I'm using Carvanha while it is still in LC. I think it will be banned soon, but that isn't up to me, so whatever! This is such a monster! It wrecks the entire tier and has virtually no counters. I don't run Ice Beam, because of this:
196+ SpA Carvanha Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tangela: 22-26 (95.6 - 113%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
People who run Ice Beam to "get past" Tangela haven't ran calcs! I get it is useful for other stuff, but Gligar can be OHKOed by Waterfall, and I'd rather not lower my shitty defenses more than I have to tbh. Crunch is such a powerful STAB, if only this thing got Knock Off! Waterfall is amazing, when it flinches, it is just so amazing. Protect is mandatory, to get that jump on the SB. The last moveslot will be hard to explain, but honestly, Destiny Bond is what I've found to be one of the greatest moves on Carvanha! It practically always gets at least 2 Kills per match if played correctly. Destiny Bond almost always guarantees that Carvanha doesn't go down in vain. It will be faster after Speed Boost, so it almost always can pull one off. Protect can also scout for if Carvanha should use DB, as showing it off will lead to mind games that Carvanha dislikes. Overall, this thing is the powerhouse of my team.

Gligar is honestly great. Great is sometimes an understatement! This set wrecks, hitting a Speed stat of 27, outspeeding everything in the tier, and any Scarfers with 17 and below Speed. Earthquake hits really hard, denting pretty much everything. Stone Edge forms EdgeQuake, not too much explanation here. U-Turn keeps up momentum and forms a nice core with Elekid. Knock Off is a great move, removing precious Berry Juices and Eviolites, with the buff, it is now better than ever! Choice Scarf is probably my favorite item on Gligar, as it doesn't mind being locked in most of the time, and its already high Speed turns it into a great revenge killer! Not too much else to say here, really!

I kicked off this team with a Pokemon that is certain to see a lot of use in LC - Bunnelby. I went for a more unconventional set, with Agility instead of Scarf simply because I prefer switching moves. Return hits like a freaking monster, destroying everything in its quake, while Earthquake nails the Steel-types who can fathom to take this monstrous Return. Stone Edge hits Flying-types and forms that amazing EdgeQuake combo! The only issue with this so far is the somewhat lack of bulk and how easily this is stopped by Bronzor. I've been very impressed with this cute little bunny so far! I've been trying out a.) Choice Band and b.) Life Orb w/ Swords Dance, and so far, Agility has been the most useful, as it patches up its Speed issues and it still hits pretty freaking hard. What I love about this bunny is that it only has one weakness, so it can take a few unresisted hits, activating Berry Juice. I can almost always get off an Agility. Just a note, it can hit Bronzor on the switch, then again, but then it has to take another hit, then Bronzor is killed.
228+ Atk Huge Power Bunnelby Return vs. 220 HP / 68 Def Bronzor: 9-12 (36 - 48%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Elekid is a very underrated threat in the Metagame. It hits a magical Speed stat of 20, outspeeding pretty much everything else. Volt Switch forms a VoltTurn combo with Gligar, and keeps up the momentum for my team. Hidden Power [Ice] is obvious to complete the Bolt Beam combo. HP [Ice] also hits harder on Tangela, thus it not being Ice Punch. Thunderbolt hits pretty hard, nailing the Water-types that can hassle my team. Cross Chop is for coverage, hitting Dark and Normal-types hard, while also smacking Steel-types in the face. Elekid is honestly the most replaceable member on my team, it has kind of been lacking on its weight and I'm not sure what I would replace it with. It can be good in some situations, but in most it lets me down. I honestly don't know, it is so cute I just don't want to let go ;v;.

Hi you have a nice team here, but there are some things that can be changed to improve your team even better. First off about your bunnelby set, I know you mentioned enjoying switching moves, but with scarf you have the ability to pivot with u-turn, and revenge kill the speed boost mons with quick attack without having to use agility which they will beat in the end. Your meditite set is fine. Swirlix has the same problems with its defensive evs. As it is a Calm mind sweeper, it doesn't need the special bulk to avoid most OHKOs, therefore opting for a set with more mixed bulk and optimize its sweeping potential. I also believe replacing elekid for chinchou would improve your team, as you have no water resist and scarf chinchou can run through your team, so adding chinchou would be a safe way to change that without compromising the volturn core and arguably better synergy and boltbeam combo. Lastly I believe gligar with berry Juice acrobatics stealth rock u-turn and Earthquake would be better then scarf because having SR on your team can help you sweep with meditite and swirlix, as mons like honedge and tangela can prevent these two from dealing major damage and ending sweeps. Honedge without SR has a decent chance of living the flamethrower from +1 swirlix.

The main problem with this team is that it's too susceptible to being out-offensed. Things that can beat Gligar and that have relatively high speeds can simply smash through this team with common STABs that you lack resists to. LO Tangela in the Sun is a huge threat; nothing on this team can live two hits from Solarbeam, and the only one that can even live one hit (Gligar) can do almost nothing in return. Murkrow is also a pretty big threat, as it can beat Elekid with Sucker Punch and flat out OHKO everything with Brave Bird while KOing Gligar with Icy Wind.

The cause of this problem, in my opinion, is the presence of Bunnelby on this team. Its high attacking power is largely redundant with Gligar and Meditite, and it brings absolutely nothing new to the table that your other three physical attackers don't. If I were you, I'd replace it with something that has more bulk and can handle a lot of the threats that you're weak to- Eviolite Growlithe.

Growlithe provides a number of useful and necessary support options for this team. First of all, it is a reliable switch in to Tangela and Murkrow, and has the bulk to take a few hits as it recovers with Morning Sun. Its WilloWisp is extremely necessary for this team, as your Pokemon almost have no defensive investment whatsoever. Also, its powerful Fire-type STAB will help out against things like Pawniard, who is also threatening to this team if set up. Steel-types that give this team trouble will find themselves walled easily. Growlithe is just what you need.

There was one more thing I wanted to address. Meditite's spread trades necessary Speed points for bulk that doesn't exactly make too much of a difference. Regardless of whether or not you decide to keep Bunnelby, Meditite's Speed is still vitally important to this team so that you can defeat bulkier yet still moderately fast opponents. Run a spread of Jolly 116 HP / 196 Atk / 196 Spe. You still retain some bulk, but gain 4 points in speed, definitely letting you cover more threats.

That's all I'm going to say. Good luck!
