Ragnarok's Diffusion Wave Motion
(PRE POKEBANK WIFI TEAM): This is a bulky offensive team full of sweepers, volt turn and some priority for revenge killing. All of my pokemon have bulk allowing to take some hits, and synergise rather well offensively and defensively, playing off each others counters, and covering each other's weaknesses. It is not by any means a perfect team, hence why i want you guys to help me improve it. :)
At a Glance: Tyranitar / Aegislash / Rotom-w / Scizor / Garchomp / (Mega) Gyarados
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RaveBoss (Tyranitar) w/ Sand Stream @ Chopple Berry
Adamant / 252 HP / 40 speed / 216 atk
Stealth Rock / Crunch / Stone Edge / Earthquake
This is my weather inducer, and stealth rock setter. I don't really need weather, it's more just to mess with opponents competing weather teams. The idea of it is to set up rocks, and get some damage off on an opponent with stone edge, earth quake and crunch. Chopple berry allows me to have suprise survival vs non stab fighting moves and often ko back. It also acts as somewhat of a special wall with sand's special defense boost and 252 hp evs. The reason for 40 speed is to outspeed opposing tyranitars running speed themselves. Synergises very well with rotom-w and aegislash forming my core. After getting rocks up, tyranitar often finds himself used as death fodder, or switched in when im not sure what my opponent is running.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ragnarok (Aegislash) w/ Stance Change @ Life Orb
Adamant / 252 hp / 252 atk / 4 speed
Shadow Sneak / Sacred Sword / Swords dance / King's Shield
This is the standard Aegislash set, with a life orb instead of leftovers. Initially i had weakness policy, which worked great on paper, but after 30 battles online vs friends met on youtube and aquaintences, i never once made use of it. I considered going mixed like i see many people online doing, however i noticed that mixed/special sweeper aegislash tend to switch in on me as i get up a swords dance against their fairy, then surviving my shadow strike they go for shadow ball to kill me. A +2 shadowsneak will do around 85% to 252 hp defense stance aegislash, but with life orb has a 98% chance to 1 hit ko without rocks from full. Life orb shadow sneak gives an extra appreciated boost as a revenge kill move.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Osmosis (Rotom-w) w/ Levitate @ Chesto Berry
Bold / 252 hp / 28 spa / 228 Def
Volt Switch / Hydro Pump / Wilo Wisp / Rest
More often than not is my lead, as it matches up so well vs most pokemon. I'm running physically defensive rotom-w making the volt part of the volt-turn aspect of my team along with scizor. It's a standard set with chesto-rest as a form of longevity, and ability to absorb status. Good type coverage in stab Volt switch / hydro pump and wilowisp for crippling opponents on the switch. This pokemon checks azumaril and blaziken and completely harcounters talonflame. It also forces many switches, gaining useful momentum and damage by stealth rock and sand storm against opponents.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Knives (Scizor) w/ Technician @ Choice Band
Adamant / 252 hp / 252 atk / 4 def
Bullet Punch / U turn / Brick Break / Pursuit
Standard . Scizor. Old school Banded scizor, running his premier set, with brick break over super power. He sponges fairy moves and gains momentum with his powerful u turn that outslows opponents getting in another teammate safely. I can also revenge kill psychic and ghost pokemon using his pursuit, to clear the field of them. His bullet punch is awesome for revening / getting damage off on mons that threaten the team. (Trevanant can be an issue for both scizor and rotom-w, i usually try to be aware of it's presence on opponents teams and predict around it. Annoying none the less.) not much else to say here, you guys know the purposes of banded scizor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LandShark (Garchomp) w/ Sand Veil @ Leftovers
Jolly / 4 hp / 252 atk / 252 speed
Substitute / Swords Dance / Earthquake / Dragon Claw
The only poke on my team making use of sandstorm (not counting tyranitar) Sand veil gives me a 20% chance to avoid a hit, on this already beast of a pokemon. My stabs destroy most everything not named skarmory or togekiss. If i feel my opponent will stay in or use a move like protect / status i sub up, and from there either swords dance, or just try to put some dents in their switchin. I dont lead this pokemon unless i see an opponent using a status inducing move, or hazard setter as a lead, like galvanchula, or smeargle, etc. I sub first move and then try to do as much damage from there. Garchomp is the only pokemon that really suffers on my team from sticky web, so seeing as i have no spinner / defog user, i get him out right away, before he becomes death fodder when against those.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skulkraken (Gyarados) w/ Intimidate @Gyaradosite
Adamant / 4 hp / 252 atk / 252 speed
Dragon Dance / Ice Fang / Water Fall / Earthquake
Last but not least, my mega poke, and powerful sweeper that wrecks anything that isnt a physical wall with it's good coverage. I try to get him in safely, and don't use him as a defensive pivot unless absolutely necessary. The fact that i have 4 pokes on my team that could be my mega allows a bit more of a suprise factor in transforming my gyarados, opponents often don't see it coming allowing an easy +1atk/+1speed, or even +2atk/+2speed setup. The 30% flinch from icefang and waterfall is often not needed, but against physical walls it can be a lifesaver. I Prefer Adamant nature to jolly, as the extra 10% is needed for ko's against neutral hits on bulky pokemon. It doesn't lose out to much speed wise after a dragon dance anyways.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Threats: Trevanant / Skarmory / Aegislash / Azumaril / sticky web + probably a lot more, but i haven't encountered everything on wifi yet.
Closing Notes: I enjoy this team, and am interested on any creative changes you guys might have for me. If you feel my team is greatly threatened by something, suggest a change that might help against that. Peace homies.
