EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Electric
Timid Nature

- Taunt
- Thunder
- Explosion / Volt Switch

[SET COMMENTS]
Electrode's phenomenal Speed, which allows it to outrun the entire unboosted metagame, good utility options, and ability to quickly pivot out after setting up Rain Dance allows it to be PU's best lead for rain teams. Taunt can prevent opposing leads such as Sticky Web Masquerain, and Stealth Rock Alolan Dugtrio from setting up entry hazards and block Gogoat from attempting to set up to break the team in the early game. Thunder is gives Electrode a powerful, accurate STAB move in rain. Explosion is normally used in the last slot, as it gives Electrode a nuclear option and gives a guaranteed free switch to a partner, but Volt Switch allows Electrode to pivot into a teammate after setting up Rain Dance to set up Rain Dance again.

Swift Swim sweepers like Golduck and Beartic are necessary teammates to exploit Rain Dance. Other Water-types such as Basculin and Wugtrio enjoy having their Water-moves boosted as well. Masquerain is a particularly notable partner, as it has its Hurricane made 100% accurate, it can set up on foes it could normally not set up on outside of rain, such as Pyroar and Camerupt and has its Water-type coverage boosted as well, letting it chip foes like Carbink harder. Electric-types such as Raichu and Rotom-F enjoy being able to use a 100% accurate Thunder and can offensively check the opposing Water-types that would want to take advantage of rain, such as Basculin. Other Rain Dance setters such as Murkrow and Golduck are helpful for Electrode to not have to exclusively set Rain Dance for its team.

Electrode's phenomenal speed, which allows it to outrun the entire unboosted metagame, good utility options and the ability for it to quickly pivot out after setting up Rain Dance allows it to become PUs best lead for rain teams. Taunt can prevent opposing leads such as Sticky Web Masquerain, Stealth Rock Alolan Dugtrio, or Gogoat from setting up entry hazards or attempting to setup to break the team early. Thunder is used due to Rain Dance making it 100% accurate and gives Electrode a powerful STAB. Volt Switch allows Electrode to pivot into a teammate after setting up Rain Dance, but Explosion can be opted for instead giving Electrode a nuke option and a guaranteed free switch to a partner. (explain explosion first since it's slashed before volt switch.)

Swift Swim sweepers like Golduck are necessary teammates to exploit the Rain Dance Electrode sets up. (may as well mention beartic, too.) Other Water-types such as Basculin and Whiscash (whiscash is primarily defensive, mention something like wugtrio instead.) enjoy having their Water-moves boosted by the Rain Dance Electrode sets up. Hurricane users such as Articuno and Masquerain enjoy Rain Dance making Hurricane 100% accurate and negating their Fire-type weaknesses. Masquerain is a particularly notable partner as it can set up can foes it could normally not set up on outside of rain, such as Pyroar and Camerupt and and has its Water-type coverage boosted aswell letting it chip foes like Carbink harder. (honestly, with articuno being nu now, you could probably just combine these two sentences somehow or rewrite either one so it's clear you're exclusively talking about masq.) Electric-types such as Raichu and Rotom-F enjoy being able to use a 100% accurate Thunder as STAB and can offensively check the opposing Water-types that would want to take advantage of rain, such as Basculin.

talk about running additional rain setters alongside electrode, it shouldn't be the only one on a rain team.

GP 1/1! Please implement this check, but credit both me and Tranquility!

Speed is always capitalized when referring to its stat
missed an oxford comma in the first sentence; it was a weird one with the break earlier in the sentence though
"setup" is an adjective (Gogoat is a setup sweeper), "set up" is a verb (Gogoat can set up on...)
"Masquerain is a particularly notable partner as it" you need a comma before "as" when it explains the part that comes before it
When giving two examples, and vs or is determined by if the subject is plural. "Additional Rain Dance setters like X and Y" vs "An additional Rain Dance setter like X or Y"
