Rain Dance Team PLEASE REVIEW

Please write suggestions

This is my sixth gen OU rain dance team. It's also my first serious competitive team. I'm looking for anything that will help, and criticisms are wanted. You're welcome to use and try it out. The team is extremely offensive with no bulk outside of zapdos. The goal is to keep rain up for almost the entire match, as this team is severely weakened without it. This team tries to end the match as quickly as possible.

Politoed @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
Moves:
-Scald
-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance
-Hypnosis
Bold Nature
252 Def/ 252 HP/ 4 SpA can

This guy is here to set up rain, anything else is a bonus. He actually can take a few hits, and almost nothing OHKO's him. Rain Dance is for the odd chance that he is still in when the rain runs out, and scald and ice beam are coverage moves. Scald actually hits decently hard in the rain, and the burn chance is nice too. Hypnosis is probably his most important move, as it lets him put other leads to sleep. I try to not let him die right away, as switching him in for a suicide switch still puts the rain back up.

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Moves:
-Waterfall
-Aqua Jet
-Stone Edge
-Brick Break
Adamant Nature
252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP

This guy is the main physical sweeper of the team. He is very fast in the rain and his waterfall hits hard. Stone Edge and Brick Break are two basic coverage moves. I'm not sure if Low Kick would be better than Brick Break, but Break Brick has worked well enough.

Thundurus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
Moves:
-Thunder
-Grass Knot
-Sludge Wave
-Nasty Plot
Timid Nature
252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 HP

Thundurus-T is on this team to deal with all those bulky water types that plague this team. His Thunder has 100% accuracy in the rain, and hits jellicent hard. Grass Knot deals with Gastrodons that try to switch in. Gastro isn't that common, but its a huge problem for this team. Sludge Wave lets him hit bulky grass types, since Kingdra is my only other counter to them. Nasty Plot lets him increase his damage output, but Gliscor walls him completely, so I might switch it HP Ice.

Toxicroak @ Black Sludge
Ability: Dry Skin
Moves:
-Swords Dance
-Sucker Punch
-Drain Punch
-Ice Punch
Adamant Nature
252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SpD

Toxicroak is my main answer to Ferrothorn. Dry Skin lets me not worry about leech seed, and power whip doesn't do anything to him. When Ferrothorn is in it lets me use Swords Dance, and Drain Punch after a couple of uses instantly heals all the damage done to him. Sucker Punch is a great priority move that allows me to not worry about T-Wave. It also lets me kill psychics that thing they have an easy kill. Ice Punch is coverage against ground and grass types. He has no bulk, and earthquake easily kills him.

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Moves:
-Ice Beam
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Dragon Pulse
Modest Nature
252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 SpD

This guy is the star of the show. His ability, Swift Swim, makes him out speed almost every other pokemon. Ice beam provides coverage against grass and flying types. Dragon Pulse is a good STAB move that doesn't lower his Special Attack, Draco Meteor gives him a move that does enormous damage, at the cost of lowering his Special Attack. I use Surf over Hydro Pump because it hits hard under the rain, and iv'e lost a few matches because it missing. The life orb damage piles up, and the it lets him get revenge killed by Talonflame pretty easily, but really, what doesn't get revenged killed by him?

zapdos.gif

Zapdos @ Damp Rock
Ability: Pressure
Moves:
-Roost
-Rain Dance
-Hidden Power Ice
-Thunder
Modest Nature
160 HP / 92 Def / 88 SpA / 168 SpD

Zapdos is my second rain dance user, and he does the job well. Most pokemon can't OHKO him, and his base 100 speed is decent. Roost lets him recover health, and Thunder lets him hit hard. HP Ice lets him 2HKO Gliscors and Garchomps that think they can switch into his Thunder. The EVs are a little random, and any help with them will be appreciated.

Known Threats:
-Bulky Water types like Jellicent, Gastrodon, Quag, and Slowbro really hurt this team and force me to switch a lot. Thundurus-T is my only answer to them.
-Genesect hasn't been two much of a problem, but it sometimes, depending on its teammates, causes me to struggle.
-Rotom-Wash is such a pain. His Hydro Pump can OHKO Thundurus-T in the rain, and his burns pile up when combined with all the life orbs i use.
-I don't have any way to get rid of entry hazards, and my only defense to them is trying to put the pokemon to sleep with Politoed's Hypnosis, which is pretty inaccurate. After putting them to sleep I normally send out Toxicroak and spam Swords Dance. If the opponent gets up rocks w/ spikes it really stacks up with all the life orb recoil this team collects.

Again, all criticisms are welcome, that's why i posted this team

Hi ! I'm not an expert in rain team but I think I can help you a little !

First, Rain Dance on Politoed seems to be a little useless. Do you use it often ? There are so much moves better for him : Toxic, Encore...

You said Toxicroak is weak to Earthquake. Why don't give him a Baloon ? It will allow you to switch in safely on predicted Ground moves. After, it's just an idea...

Having Thundurus-Therian and Zapdos in the same team seems a little too much. For another rain setter, I think to Klefki. With Prankster, Rain Dance has priority ! And it allows you to set Spikes and spam Thunder Wave at the same time. If you want an example :

Klefki @ Damp Rock
Ability : Prankster
Evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDef
Bold Nature
- Rain Dance
- Thunder Wave
- Spikes
- Draining Kiss

on thundrus, go with agility over nasy plot. I used to do the same thing, but I learned that thundrus already has massive SA. I use Dark Pulse on mine considering the number of alakazams, gengars, aegislashs, etc these days. Also, be prepared for alot of ice and rock moves. My Thundrus uses a yache berry, which halves damage from super effective ice moves. Thundrus dosn't need the life orb because he can already take out most pokemon with a thunderbolt, let alone thunder.

Hiya there. Looks like a promising rain team coming along here. Rain is by no means my forte, but a quick glance tells me that Mega Venusaur is a serious issue for this team. His Thick Fat means he is no longer weak to Ice Beam, so nothing on your team hits him for significant damage minus maybe Kingdra's DM. My suggested change is replacing Thundurus-T with Offensive Rain Dragonite. Dragonite also packs a powerful Thunder to hit bulky waters, but on top of that he absolutely decimates bulky Grass-types with a massive 100% accurate STAB Hurricane. I believe that Hurricane will 2HKO standard Gastrodon too, if that's a major problem. You have the option of running Rain Dance on him too if you need another user. Here is the mixed set, though fully special is pretty good as well:

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 76 Atk / 252 SAtk / 180 Spe
Mild Nature
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Aqua Tail
- ExtremeSpeed / Roost

Good luck!
