This team is based around small surprises and tricks that can really throw the opponent off guard. Espeon leads with Magic Bounce and sets up the needed screens, yawn is there to get rid of pokes who may pose an initial threat and batton pass so that you can get your sweepers i.e. Zard Y, Mega Cham, or Landorous-T. Zard Y can be devastatingly cruel with screens and no rocks up on his initial switch. Gengar is there to take out any thing annoying with either Destiny Bond or Confuse Ray/Shadow Ball combos. Rain Man (Zapdos) can really hit hard with rain up. He's got Thunder STAB that will put holes in anything that isn't resistant or immune, HP Water with high SpAtk investment and rain to further boost it. Zard Y has Sun but this can be good because it makes Aqua Jet weak and these pokes can easily be dealt with by a sketchy Thunder from dos that is unaffected by the sun. Also Cham is packing Ice Punch to deal with Dnite switch-ins and gliscor, and bullet punch can be invaluable to deal with weakened faster Pokes.
Rain Man (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 136 HP / 236 SpA / 136 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hidden Power [Water]
- Thunder
- Roost
- Rain Dance
This is the teams star and with his main set being that of a Defogger with tbolt coverage, this set will not be predicted easily. Switch in dos. Roost or Rain Dance depending on the situation. Put holes in them with Thunder. Predict ground Switch-in and take a chunk out of it with HP Water.
Rooby Doo (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
Anti-Sweeper/U-turn Banded Maniac. Landorus-T is on this team because since there are 2 potential megas and Zard Y is about 10% more likely to mega evolve than medicham, the physical coverage can not be trusted to medicham in ou because smogon bird and various others will deny him a chance to even get started.
Green GOAT (Espeon) (F) @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Baton Pass
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Yawn
Lead and Put up screens. Yawn to force switch if necessary. BP to control the momentum and not waste turns of screen coverage. If still alive it can be invaluable to set up a late game screen or take a hit that the others on the team wouldn't be able to take twice.
Tricky (Gengar) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Confuse Ray
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Destiny Bond
Emegency counter for anything that gets too buff for it's own good. Destiny Bond for all mega Zards, Band Knock Off users, and a variety of other sweepers. Confuse ray if gengar can take a hit, confuse ray can potentially damage the opposing mon and then hit it with Shadow ball several times to KO. Focus Blast is for Ferrothorn and already weakened Chansey.
OHKO (Medicham) (M) @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Bullet Punch
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch
High jump kick for maximum risk reward STAB mode. Bullet punch to counter any clumsy weak pokes that feel they can outspeed cham easily. Fake out because 35% is a high reward for no risk unless there's a ghost. Ice punch to potentially freeze...or KO any dragon that may want to switch in and set up, also works well on predicted flying pokes.
Charizard The Guy (Charizard) (M) @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Air Slash
- Focus Blast
- Solar Beam
With screens up and no rocks theres nothing stopping Zard Y from sweeping (i mean there is but i only said there wasn't for dramatic effect). It can cancel zapdos rain on it's switch in to prevent water types from seizing the opportunity and can use it as a chance to counter with solarbeam or predict the Ttar switch and focus blast for 4X. Air slash will stop mega cham or your money back.
