Rain plz

Hey guys,i bring you a rain team i built on Pokemon Showdown about 3 weeks ago.It has been working out really well.So I hope you guys like the team I built for Smogon.

Without further ado here's the team I built.

politoed_water_gun.png

Toady (Politoed) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Now i clearly Know that politoed has really crappy stats and its always outclassed.Theres one little thing that makes politoed a lot better:Drizzle.
The moveset is ice beam which is rather standard on most water types,Scald 4 STAB rain boost and the burn is always nice.Focus blast 2 hit dark types or Ferros hard and hp grass just 4 the pesky gastrodon

Killjoys (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Def / 128 HP / 128 SDef
Bold Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Seismic Toss
- Softboiled
- Thunder Wave

I know blissey is the joy pokemon. But its the opposite imo.The Killjoy pokemon. Now dis thing is a very defensive monster with its sky-high hp.The set is aromathrerapy 2 heals status, seismic toss 2 do 100 each turn which is decent, softbolied to heal myself when im low on health and T-Wave 2 cripple scarf users or main sweepers

HighVoltage (Jolteon) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Thunder
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]

One of the main sweepers of this team. The reason this guy is in the team is cause of its great speed and it can use specs without fearing getting outsped. The set is volt switch 2 hit and run, thunder to abuse rain, shadow ball 4 ghost and hp ice for dragonite, salamence, gliscor, etc

ferrothorn_by_midori_ash_chan-d47pgsj.png

Cactus Jack (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip

Ferro is probably one of the bulkiest pokemon in the whole OU tier. This guys is really splashable in pretty much any team except sun teams. The set with my ferrothorn is rocks cuz i needed room for twave in my blissey's moveset, spikes to hamper the switch-ins survival capabilities, leech seed to steal my opponent's health and power whip for stab.Ferro's STAB Power Whip hits really hard imo.So be wary of this guy!

dragonite06.jpg

Kairyu (Dragonite) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SAtk /4 Spd
Mild Nature
- Hurricane
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed

Dragonite not only is bulky is also ridicously powerful and very versatile. This time im running a mixed dragonite.Hurricane for STAB and 100%accuracy in rain, draco meteor for stab and for a lot of damage on something.Earthquake 2 hit steel types like magnezone really hard and extremespeed to finish off weakened foes.

Aqua (Vaporeon) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Hydration
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Rest

Now for my last pokemon and what do u know its another eeveelution.Aparently i love eevee's evolutions that much that i have 2 in my team.Anyway Vaporeon is an offensive set.The moveset is scald for STAB and burns are always nice, ice beam 4 dragons or stuff like gliscor.Hidden Power Ground for the likes of magnezone and rest to get turn 1 wake ups thanks to the hydration ability.Hydration cures status from the active pokemon if rain is induced that is.Which makes vaporeon really annoying to deal with

So thats the team I built for you guys.As always if u have any suggestions on how to make my team better just let me know.So have anice day until next time.Peace!!!!

I see a lack of physical attackers and a somewhat poor offensive presence overall. Dragonite only has 2 physical attacks and powerwhip isn't all that threatening anyway. Vaporeon is fun with hydration+rest set but maybe an offensive keldeo would be a better option to fire off powerful hydropumps. As for a physical attacker Dragon Dance Gyarados or Choice Band Azumarill are both great options on rain teams.

P.S. Peronally I prefer a tank set with Dragonite abusing Thunder and Hurricane while using Roost and multiscale to prolong its longevity. Dragonite also benefits greatly from Blissey's Cleric support.
