Rain Rain Dont go Away (raindance OU team)

So this is my first RMT and i was just wondering if you guys can give me some tips :D Im too lazy to embed pictures though >__< Ok lets get started.

Aerodactyl (F) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Rain Dance
- Earthquake

This thing is a beast ! Its extremely fast and can prevent those pesky stealth rocks or sleep powers from roserade. I usually go for Rain dance just due to this thing being super fragile. However, If i think the enemy is going for rocks spikes T.Spikes or whatever i will Taunt first and proceed to setting up rocks if i dont think the lead can O hit ko me.
All in all its one of the fastest in OU tier and can always get the job done.

---
Kingdra (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk/16 Spd/240 SAtk
Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Hydro Pump
- Waterfall
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Dance

This is my mix sweeper. This thing has pulled through for me many times. Its base 97 stats in everything except for speed is surely something to be reckoned with. It usually gets 1-3 kills before it dies. With one lone resistance one can not ignore this sexy beast.
---
Ludicolo (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 60 HP/196 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball
- Surf

Standard special sweeper for every Rain dance team. 60 Hp is for extra longitivity. This thing is honestly a beast as well. I have swept whole teams with this before. If you have no walls watch out. Hidden power Electric over rain dance for those pesky gyarados that think they can set up on me. Energy ball over grass knot because of sp.def drop. Rest is self explanatory.
---
Jirachi @ Damp Rock
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Rain Dance
- Thunder
- Wish
- Water Pulse

Ahh the haxs master. I was thinking of what to put in the final spot. I was considerin Kabutops but then again i needed another rain dancer that is bulky enough to take a hit. With 100 base everything Jirachi was a viable solution. Wish for Wish support. Water pulse for confusion and Thunder for the 60% parahaxs. In the rain it hits 100% so its pretty good for crippling the opposing team's pokemon.
---
Floatzel (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 232 HP/252 Atk/24 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
- Bulk Up

This thing can pretty much break anything.
I replaced Crunch because i think Waterfall already takes care of ghosts easily. Bulk up is used if i have a chance to set up and just makes sweeping with this guy easier. His 115 base speed is what i love because you dont really need Speed Ev's on this guy. Brick Break for Normals like Snorlax and Blissey. Ice punch for dragons. Waterfall for general pokemon. Only things that really get in the way of this guy sweeping is other water pokemon. Mantine being one of them since he can resist all of this guy's attacks.
---
Qwilfish (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Poison Jab
- Waterfall
- Explosion
- Swords Dance

Don't underestimate this little blowfish. Hes a POWERTANK. With STAB poison jab and waterfall this guy can KO alot of pokemon. Swords dance is if i have a chance to use it and explosion so i can blow holes in the opposing team. With life Orb barely anything in the Metagame can take the explosion to well. Most sweepers die to it and its just what i need in a sticky situation.

Okay Rate up guys :)

O.k i will give this a shot.

First off, your team needs at least 3 rain set uppers to be a successful rain team. since you have 2 you need at least one more.

Aerodactyl is a nice lead but he is not good for a rain team. He will fail against Metagross and machamp leads snce they will OHKO it with Bullet Punch. Aerodactyl will also fail most of the time to set up SR as most leadscan KO it due to its poor defensive. In non Rain teams Aerodactyl usually runs focus sash to correct this issue however in a rain team you do not have that luxery. Therefore Crobat is a good option does pretty much the same thing as Aerodactyl but it has a better typing and defenses. Hoever, I suggest an Azelf as your rain lead since it is fast, has decent defences compard with Aerodactyl and can get your rain sweepers in (relatively) unharmed better than Crobat or Aerodactyl due to U-turn and Explosion.

Your Kingdra is running DD but you hve only one physical move. I suggest Outrage over Hydro Pump or Draco Meteor as it is a strong STAB physical move that is boosted by Dragon Dance. It gives you an option against buly waters such as Vaporeon as they will resist (or in Vaporeons case, are immune) to your physically boosted STAB, also are unharmed by your unboosted special STAB and can recover off damage from Draco Meteor (and ofter 2 uses you will not be scratching anything with either Hydro Pump or Draco Meteor). Outrage solves this somewhat as you can now boost your attack to KO with Outrage.

Ludicolo is O.K but you should drop HP Electric (as it does not hit much of note) for Focus Punch (Blissey on the switch) or Rain Dance (to keep rain up for longer)

Jirachi is also o.k but, with the exception of wish, Rotom W does things much better. It can set up rain and abuse its STAB thunder and can further take advantageor the rain by utalising its signature move Hydro Pump to hurt things much harder than Jirachi's Water Pulse does. Therefore I suggest Rotom W over Jirachi.

Floatzel is another nice swift swimmer however i think ou need another rain supporter instead. Scizor gives you a dragon resist that you lost when you replace Jirachi can it can take on the Main weather hanger in OU, Tyranitar who could cause you troubles as ge would switchin removing rain. Scizor not only beats most forms or T-tar but can also set up rain as it switch's out and has its 4x fire weakness reduced under Rain. Therefore I suggest a Scizor over Floatzel.

Lastly we have Quilfish, it too is a nice Swift Swimmer can can abuse the rain quite effectivally. However I believe that Kabtops hits things much harder than Quilfish can and the extra speed that Quilfish brings to the table is not overly important. The only thing you lack with Kabutops is the Explosion that Quilfish brings however Kabutops is hitting things harder anyway so that loss is not huge. So hopefully Kabutops will take Quilfish's place.

Here are the sets that I recomended to you

Crobat @ Damp Rock
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 104 HP / 152 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly nature (+Spe, -SpA)
-Rain Dance
-Taunt
-Roost
-U-turn/Brave Bird

Azelf @ Damp Rock
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Rain Dance
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Explosion

Scizor @ Damp Rock
Ability: Technician
EVs: 200 HP / 56 Atk / 252 SpD
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Rain Dance
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Roost

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Adamant nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Jet

Rotom-W @ Damp Rock
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk) or Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder
- Shadow Ball

Well I hope I helped you,

Have a Nice Day!

Thanks for the rating il definitely look into replacing jirachi and Floatzel. However im kind of shaky about the qwilfish to kabutops thing. But perhaps it could work if i did a obscure variant ;D
Hmmm the movesets sound nice but i think HP elec is the way to go just because ive been playing ladder on shoddy and people tend to switch in gyarados on my ludicolo or at least expect they can get a ddance as i switch into it and expect me to not 1hko. I catch them all by suprise with it and its just super sexy. Rain dancers will probally be changed to Azelf/Scizor/Rotom-W
so that makes 3 and
sweepers will now be
kabutops
kingdra
ludicolo

Im going to test this out on ladder and see how these new changes come out and il come back with some feedback as to how it works out.

Yes gyarados is a problem but Grass knot 2KO's bulky Gyarados and offensive Gyarados. If Offensive Gyarados comes in on Surf and SR is up the Grass knot will KO. If fact if SR is up Gyarados will not have time to DD up since Grass knot will be doing far to much damage.

Without SR
Grass Knot vs. 156 HP Gyarados: 58.6% - 69.2%
Energy Ball vs. 156 HP Gyarados: 39.2% - 46.5%

Add SR into these calcularions and Gyardos does not look like sweeping you anytime soon, not to meantion that Gyarados may even be switching in taking small damage from a Rain boosted Surf.

Incidently this also shows that Energy Ball only hits Vaporeon harder making Grass Knot often the superior option

Actually I wouldn't make as many lineup changes as ginga is.

Simply moving your Jirachi set up to the lead spot in place of Aerodactyl and replacing Wish with U-Turn makes a great lead. That will open up a suport spot in the back, which can be filled by Ginga's Scizor suggestion.

I'd also add, that while Floatzel is quite epic, he really isn't powerful enough to do much, and replacing him with the Kabutops set will increases the overall strength of your team. This also allows room for Qwilfish to stay, which gives this team an invaluable absorber of Toxic Spikes.

I'd also add that your Rain Dance Abusers should have the ability to abuse it themselves. You can never have enough rain dance on a team. Ludicolo's HP Electric should be changed to Rain Dance, and changing Kingdra's Dragon Dance to Rain Dance lets you keep the move set you have. Qwilfish and Kabutops should not run Rain Dance, as they are mighty forces to be reckoned with after a single Swords Dance, and with Qwilfish's Explosion and Kabutops Aqua Jet priority move, you can keep up the power while out of rain as well.

Most of what I would say has been said by TheValkyries and Ginganinja.

I would move Jirachi up to the lead spot, and change its move set to Rain Dance/ Stealth Rock/ U-Turn/ Water Pulse. SR is to help turn 2HKOs into possible OHKOs. U-Turn allows you to freely switch out after setting up or to break the sash of taunt leads (though they may fear taunting a lead Jirachi because it can trick a scarf to them or just out-speed them for the 2HKO and not allow them to get SR up).

With a free spot open, Scizor can fill the spot as it adds another rain dancer to your team [Look at Ginganinja's Scizor set].

You should chose either to replace Kingdra's Dragon Dance with Rain Dance, or replace Draco Meteor with Outrage which gets the bonus from DD.

You should change Ludicolo's HP Electric to Rain Dance and Energy Ball to Grass Knot.

Keep Qwilfish as it can absorb the toxic spikes which are commonly paired with the bane of Rain Dance teams, bulky waters. Qwilfish can than Explode on said bulky water and clear the way for the rest of your team. However change Qwilfish's EVs to 28 HP/ 252 Att/ 228 Spd. This will still allow you to outspeed Scarf Latias in the rain who you can OHKO with a +2 Poison Jab after Stealth Rock, and who knows the 28 EVs in HP may allow you that one extra hit.
Floatzel is outclassed by Kabutops, who has higher Attack that can be boosted with Swords Dance, and better offensive typing.
Kabutops: Adamant W/ Life Orb
32 HP, 252 Att, 20 Def, 204 Spd
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Jet
You obviously want to max out Kabutops' attack with this set. 204 EVs in speed allows you to outspeed +1 base 100 Spd pokemon. The 32 EVs in HP gives you Life Orb HP (269), and the rest just went into Def. Aqua Jet is so you don't get screwed over by Mach Punch/Vacuum Wave, Waterfall and Stone Edge are for strong STAB and Swords Dance is for the Attack boost.

Thanks guys for the tip. The problem with jirachi on shoddy was i was facing many aerodactyl leads and azelf leads who would just taunt me. Then i couldnt get rain up. xP any ideas?
Also any ideas for a breloom counter because it seems a easy way to rip through this team is to switch in breloom at the exact right time when the rain stops so that it can spore and set up sub while im not faster than it.

Well in regasrds to breloom, Quilfish and Rotom W both handle it pretty well. Kingdra can also run Lum berry as well which can come in usefull. Using something like a combination between scizors U-tunr to break the sub then switch to a fighting resist on the focus Punch.

Qwilfish, Jirachi and Scizor should be able to handle Breloom with some ease, with U-Turns and Poison Jab.

To help deal against taunt leads, you may want to change your Jirachi to;
Jolly W/ Damp Rock
44 HP, 212 Att, 252 Spd
- Rain Dance
- Stealth Rock
- U-Turn
- Thunder Punch/Iron Head
You can get by those pesky taunt leads that you said gave you trouble. The EVs allow you to KO Azelf and Aerodactyl with U-Turn and Scizor's Bullet Punch. Thunder Punch is for Gyarados and much better coverage, while Iron Head is for STAB and the 60% flinch rate.
