I have been testing this team for a while now. I did well in XY Battlespot Doubles on showdown. I reached 1400 rating and was in the top 150 in the ladder. Then I tested the team on my DS and did much worse. Won about 50% of battles. Anyway, I would just like help with some little things. Help with EV's, movesets, or other adjustments are awesome. Here's the team.
This set is designed to be a bulky toad, thus I invested 252 in HP and 180 in SDef. I didn't put any into Def because there aren't many physical electric threats and physical grass isn't that common. I chose scald for the accuracy and works well in the late game with the chance of burn. Swagger helps with things that resist Politoed's attacks.
Manectric is my mega. He can OHKO lots of things and 2HKO bulkier mons. I use Hidden Power Ice for dragons to get the easy OHKO, it also does pretty good damage to Rhydon with lighting rod. I use overheat so it can do more damage in the rain compared to flamethrower (also if the opponent sets up sun it does extra). After overheat I usually volt switch into Ferrothorn my tank. I thought about protect but a fire move and HP ice seemed more important.
Ludicolo is amazing in the rain. Stab Scald with the rain boost does massive damage. Giga drain works well with the sitrus berry. I usually lead with politoed and Ludicolo and double protect if I think they are going to fake out.
Ferrothorn is my tank. He is extremely bulky and can usually help me to pull of a late game victory. Ferrothorn is a good switch in after Manectric, he can always wall an earthquake and then hits back hard.
This is a bulky SAtk set. Dragon Pulse is my go to Stab move and works well even if rain runs out. Thunder just because I can spam it. Hurricane is for Mega Venusaur who isn't hit as hard by fire or ice with thick fat. Roost gives it bulk. Does multiscale get reset if roost gets it to full health?
Kabutops is my physical sweeper. He is probably is used least on the team. I thought about a choice band, but it feels silly with his diverse moveset that hits many different things. I chose aqua jet over waterfall because with rain, stab and life orb it does nice damage and gives me priority.
