SS Doubles OU Rain Team

This is my first ever competitive team I am winning about 50/50 matches in doubles main fails are losing speed and trick rooms/Sand Stream entering. Any advice is great and if I need to any anything further I can.

Pelipper

Hurricane
Hydro Pump
Tailwind
U-Turn

Item/Rocky Helmet

Modest
Drizzle
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

I’ve U-Turn if I feel there’s an immediate threat. Tailwind if there is a prankster out first to try and gain back speed. Hydro Pump and Hurricane for the power and rocky helmet to try and inflict damage. Primary Role is to set up rain and once activated depending on who I’m facing either u-turn to save my rain setter or try and do a hard attack with either Hurrican/Hydro Pump depending on which is more affective.

Ludicolo

Muddy Water
Energy Ball
Ice Beam
Protect

Item/Life Orb

Modest
Swift Swim
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

This is usually my dynamax choice if for some reason the weather changes self setting Max Geyser and Energy ball to deal with Pokemon like Gastrodon. Protect just in case and Ice beam to pick of anything the other loves can’t. Life orb to max attack and this is then my primary Swift Swim user with varied attack to pick off what it’s most effective again with steal type being the most troublesome.

Seismitoad

Muddy Water
Earth Power
Stealth Rock
Focus Blast

Item/Leftovers

Modest
Swift Swim
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Muddy water for the double it, earth power hits Duraludron and Focus Blast for Ferrothorn. Stealth rock to try and cripple Togepi/Tyranitar. Sometimes will use this first with Pelipper. Second swift swimmer ground type giving immunity but also the x2 damage from grass types so depending on what’s on the opposing team this I used as a back up. Leftovers as it is quite bulky to soak some energy up.

Raichu

Grass Knot
Nuzzle
Thunder
Focus Blast

Item/Focus Sash

Timid
Lightning Rod
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Thunder 100% in rain. Nuzzle usually if I feel I’m about to be knocked out to leave a paralyz. Grass Knot and Focus Blast to pick of anything I’m weak against. Main role is for thunder attack in rain lightning rod to soak up any attacks that come its way and focus sash as it’s frail to guarantee a turn.

Rotom-Heat

Nasty Plot
Overheat
Volt Switch
Thunder wave

Item/ Heavy Duty Boots

Timid
Levitate
248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe

This is only used on a heavy grass of steal team overheat after a nasty plot use. Volt switch to come in and out off. Heavy boots to avoid any traps already set up. This set is mainly used if there’s a variety of steel Pokemon to try and get this extra punch in. If there is a real threat and my swim swimmer is out then I will dynamax this or goodra for sun and making any fire move stronger.

Goodra

Draco Meteor
Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Sludge Bomb

Item/Assault Vest

Modest
Hydration
72 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA / 176 Spe

All around attacker so sludge bomb for the fairy/grass flamethrower for steel/grass and Thunderbolt to pick off any flying or water. Draco meteor usually being a one shot move to hit hard. Assault Vest increase SpeD so it can take fits from ice and fairy moves more easily. Hydration to gain some extra HP in the rain.

It's difficult to say exactly what the issues are without testing your team for myself. I must also admit that I have limited experience In SS, but I'll do my best

It's important to have a second way to set up rain in case Pelipper dies. Fortunately Goodra can do just that.

Goodra
Item: Damp Rock / Sitrus Berry
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 180 SpA
Ability: Hydration
Moveset:
-Draco Meteor
-Thunder / Sludge Bomb
-Rain Dance
-Rest

This set allows for a second reliable way to set up rain. You'll have to give up Assault Vest, but it's a price you'll have to pay. Damp Rock extends the rain duration or three more turns, but Sitrus Berry is also an option if you want to rely on instant recovery.

I don't know what your EV spread is for, so I redid it. 252 HP and 72 Def allows you to survive one play rough from an unboosted Azumarill, and 2 Dragon Claws from Garchomp if you have a Sitrus Berry. The rest is pumped into special attack for as much damage as possible.

Hydration works really well with rest as you will not have to go through sleep turns, so you'll have access to instant full recovery at all times. Rain Dance is obviously for setting up the rain. Draco Meteor is your strongest attack move and Thunderbolt or Sludge Bomb works as coverage

In my opinion Raichu is outclassed by Heliolisk

Heliolisk
Item: Focus Sash
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest/Timid
Ability: Dry Skin
Moveset:
-Thunder
-Hyper Voice
-Volt Switch/Nuzzle
-Grass Knot

Heliolisk is a strong special attacker in the rain, largely due to dry skin. This is the basic set that functions similar to Raichu.

Regarding fighting Trick Room, Scrafty is a solid option by being slow, offering fake out support, and hitting strong trick room setters hard with knock-off.
