Rain volt turn (first post)

My new offensive rain team I have been using it for a while and have found that it is largely successful however it still has its problems dealing with specific threats

politoed@leftovers
trait: drizzle
ev: 252 hp/252 def
nature bold
- scald
- protect
- perish song
- toxic

politoed is used to set up permanent rain and while it cannot utilize u-turn or volt switch politoed regardless has been a vital member of my team due to perish song. As my team has no way of phazing out stat boosters, i have often been able to use politoed to force switches applying more pressure to my opponents. toxic also helps combat stat boosters while scald is used for its burn chance, protects helps stall out perish song and for scouting out opponents leads.

scizor @ choice band
trait: technician
ev 252 hp/ 252 attack
nature adamant
- u-turn
- bullet punch
- pursuit
- superpower

standard choice scizor. scizor had proven its worth and has great synergy within the team the rain reduces its fire weakness making it harder to take down. u-turn is essential for the volturn team and bullet punch makes up for its low speed pursuit traps ghost and psychics while superpower handles blissey and chansey

rotom-w@ choice scarf
trait levitate
ev 252 spe/ 252 spatk
nature timid
-volt switch
-hydro pump
-trick
-hidden power ice

one of the best rain abusers rotom-w is insanely effective with scizor as together they have amazing synergy and add a ton of pressure on the opponent. volt switch is self explanatory and so is hydro pump. trick potentially messes up an opponents wall while hidden power is for those pesky dragons

tornadous-t@ life orb
trait regenerator
ev 252 spe/ 252 spatk
nature naive
- hurricane
- superpower
- u-turn
- hidden power ground

tornadous-t is a beast with perma rain it can just spam hurricane causing heavy damage to most pokemon, nevertheless while it is powerful i have found it is best to utilize it when the opponents team has been weakened. superpower does heavy damage to blissey and chansey while hidden power is hits heatran hard. u-turn continues the voltturn pass

landorus@life orb
trait sheer power
ev 252 spe/ 252 atk
nature naive
- u-turn
- earth power
- focus blast
- hidden power ice

while rarely seen on rain teams landorus checks a lot of common conters switching into the common electric atk. earth power is for sheer force and stab while focus blast gives it great covergae hitting most things hard hidden power ice nails gliscor who would otherwise wall this set. while u-turn is rarely seen on this set it helps continue the volturn chain however the loss of other moves such as substitute or psychic has become evident

jirachi@leftovers
trait serene grace
ev 252 hp/ 252 spdef
nature careful
- wish
- stealth rock
- iron head
- body slam

jirachi is the pokemon that has causes the most trouble as while it is an excellent team player providing wish, stealth rock and the occasional paralyse the lack of u-turn ends the chain and furthermore the lack of protect makes wish semi-reliable. However as this team is heavily offensive jirachi also provides most of the bulk which has saved me in a lot of battles. iron head are body slam are self explanatory as this is the standard set

This team has faired extremely well competitively as while I have used common pokemon the way the team plays is very unorthodox, however as I have mentioned before it still has its problems. Other weather teams especially with sun teams are a huge inconvenience, while certain threats like choice scarf genesect also causes major trouble.
