Pokeaim adjustment( I think this is better tbh):

As a fan of weather in general, rain is probably my favorite playstyle of all of the weathers. That being said the existence of pokemon like :Ogerpon-Wellspring: and Physically defensive :Dondozo: running through the tier running rain felt like a more difficult thing to overcome, but I wanted to see if I could possibly do that. With that in mind this team was my attempt to do exactly that.

:Pelipper: :

:Pelipper: is arguably the most important cog to this team. With the ability Drizzle to set up the weather, keeping this pokemon alive is vital to allow the offensive weapons on this team to thrive. Since this team can be somewhat weak into mons like :Zamazenta: I decided that I physically defensive bold Pelipper would be the best fit for this team as it can 1v1 :Great Tusk: and :Zamazenta: and be able to take a hit to pivot into one of the offensive mons on this team. Since keeping Pelipper alive is often the win condition of this team keeping hp up on this guy was important so roost was immediately the first move added to this mon to keep the hp up. To be able to threaten :Ogerpon-Wellspring: as well as :Great Tusk: and :Zamazenta: the next move added to this guy was hurricane as it allowed for us to put offensive pressure on the otherside as much as possible. For a water type stab move in the rain and to make sure in case you're playing the weather wars and still want your move to be a water type, I chose to go with surf over weather ball even if it does less damage. then finally to pivot into our offensive threats the last move is u turn.

:Goodra-Hisui: :

With a massive special defense stat, good move diversity, and access to a good defensive typing, :Goodra-Hisui: actually is able to serve as a switch in to a lot of things that are threatening into rain. It can handle :Walking Wake: and :Raging Bolt: , it can handle :Iron Moth: pretty well and with access to both knock off and earthquake it can make it so that :Slowking-Galar: is no longer getting off free chilly receptions and making it easier to keep rain up in general. To make sure that we can hit :Dragonite: for great chip before it can get out of hand as well we're running the ultimate dragon type move in draco meteor, as well as it just hitting hard enough into just about anything that it is just useful in general. Finally to apply pressure on fairy types like :Hatterene: and :Clefable: as well as to have access to a strong steel type stab move flash cannon was the last move on this set (Footnote if you want something to hit like Tera water :Garganacl: then you could also consider thunder or thunderbolt for that move slot and have it be completely reasonable). With the assault Vest Item as well this mon at times feels like an insurmountable special wall, and with that dragon steel typing it can even serve as a switchin for threatening offensive grass types like :Rillaboom: and :Ogerpon: showing off the diversity of utilities this mon can really have.

:Iron Treads: :

Iron Treads main role on this squad is to get up stealth rocks on the other side, and so to try and guarantee that that happens this set is a booster speed Iron Treads. With that being said the first slot is being taken up by stealth rocks as stated before for a couple of reasons. First off with rocks up close combat from :Barraskewda: can ko :Ogerpon-wellspring: as well as being able to 2shot :corviknight: showing that the use of rocks is huge for these two menaces into rain. Second it applies pressure to build like stall, especially since lefties being the main item on stall teams has gained traction over heavy duty boots. The second move on this guy is earthquake for a strong stab attack to target threats like :Gholdengo: that think they're allowed to spin block or chip down :Samurott-Hisui: so that not too many layers can go up on you. Since the main utility of this mon is to make sure that rocks, we're running kind of a double edged sword that serves a few purposes. This third move is steel beam and it is actually so we can allow our iron treads to go down. since alot of people want to go hard :Hatterene: to try and block rocks especially since most :Iron Treads sont seem to be running any steel types but are instead running knock off and ice spinner, and to try and deal with this switch in aggressively steel beam serves this utility perfectly. Plus with Max HP on this guy its generally able to live a headlong rush from :Great Tusk making it so that if your opponents goal is to chip down your :Iron Treads: and then spin when its low you can kamikaze with steel beam and make it so that you both massively chip down the tusk and block spin. Plus if your opponent is running spin block :Sinistcha and tries to block your spin you can instead sack your :Iron Treads with Steel beam and make it so that :Sinistcha: can't get off a strength sap to heal back and stay a nuisance. since we also don't want hazards to go up against this team so that :Kingdra: :Barraskewda: and :Goodra-Hisui: can stay around for a long time, so the 4th and final move on :Iron Treads: is rapid spin of course. To finalize the spin block as well we're running tera ghost on this guy.

:Iron Valiant: :

With booster speed on this guy :Iron Valiant: is one of the fastest pokemon in the tier and this is mostly so that if we're in a scenario where we can't get the rain back up and we need some sort of speed control against like :Walking Wake: in sun or :Deoxys-Speed: in general we have a back up option for the worst case scenario. To make sure we can hit anything and everything pretty hard we're running a mixed :Iron Valiant: so that it is a true offensive threat. to hit any :Slowking-Galar: that think they have a free switch in or to force the other side to deal with stealth rocks as well as to get the ko on specs :Dragapult: in case it tries a cheeky tera ghost for the shadow ball ko the first attacking move that we're running on this guy is knock off. Next for a powerful stab attack that threatens most mons we're running close combat to get kos on threats like :kingambit: or nuisances like :Blissey: who see the moonblast and think we're just special attacking (unlikely but I have seen it happen) as well as being able to get good chip even on physical walls like :Corviknight: if need be. To target more physically bulky mons like :Hydrapple: and :Great Tusk: as well and make it harder to wall :Iron Valiant: that third move slot is taken up by stab moonblast for a strong fairy option to target physical walls and chip them down. Now I am an avid hater of sucker punch games with :Kingambit: and at times sd :ceruledge: has definitely given me some troubles as well as annoy the recover protect salt cure stallish :Garganacl: and either lock it into protect or recover, encore felt like a good addition to this team. This is shown to be even more vital to make it so that Dragon Dance :Dragonite: Can't just set up without repercussions. Now even with that considered in the case of :Dragonite: with extreme speed being such a common set it felt important to have something to deal with that and so the tera on Iron Valiant is also tera ghost so that if we encounter a :Dragonite: like that and don't want to lose to espeed on the spot we have a means of dealing with it.

:Barraskewda: :

:Barraskewda: is our physical breaking rain abuser on this team as in rain with the choice band item this mon hits incredibly hard. With rocks up tera water liquidation can one shot Specially defensive :Primarina: , can one shot -def :Dragapult: , and can also one shot :Skarmory: with rocks up (to bypass sturdy) with set liquidation. To make sure that we can keep up the momentum as well, the second move on this guy is flip turn (After some of the struggles with water absorb lowkey drill run may actually be a better addition as only : Pelipper: and :Barraskewda: but i still decided to run flip turn in the end) as well as it hitting many mons hard whilst being able to switch into something more favorable. To hit :Ogerpon-wellspring: as well as just having an elite physical attack to hit anything that resists water type moves like :Dondozo: and :Alomomola: . The third and Final move on this guy is Aqua Jet for a priority move in case all the otherways to deal with Priority Mons like :Raging Bolt: and :Kingambit: if you need to deal with the sucker punch games as well as being able to just hit mons that may outspeed it for the last littlb ebit of chip if need be (Tera water Aqua jet actually 2 shots :Kingambit: .

:Kingdra: :

:Kingdra: is our special breaking rain abuser, and with max speed timid it is able to even outspeed scarf :Darkrai: and booster speed :Iron Valiant: and Booster speed :Iron Boulder: in the rain. Even without tera weather ball has a roll to ko :kingambit: and with tera it one shots both :kingambit: and :Zamazenta: . For a powerful stab attack to target mons like :Dragonite: or :Raging Bolt: We are also running draco meteor, as well as it being able to 2 shot :Ogerpon-Wellspring: and doing enough into :Slowking-Galar: that it is ultimately being chipped down in the long run regardless. For a pretty similar reasoning to draco meteor the next move added was dragon pulse, in case it is vital for us to avoid the spA drop into :Dragonite: for example to avoid roost shenanigans. The final move on this guy is hurricane as it hits kos :Ogerpon-Wellspring: does good chip into :Volcanion: if you run into it (which to be fair is still a pretty problematic mon for this team as a whole) and also one hit kos :Iron Valiant: so you dont have to pick between a water type move into pon versus a dragon type move into :Iron Valiant: as well as one shotting :Great Tusk: and 2 shotting physically defensive :hatterene: with rocks up with hurricane.

Team Weaknesses: Water absorb :Clodsire: can be a massive problem into this team as the only thing that really does anything into it is :Goodra-Hisui: and that's basically trading your special wall for a clodsire as who wants to do that. In addition tera water :Ting Lu: and :Garganacl are an uphill battle to go into for sure. Finally if you encounter :Toxapex: especially on stall you gotta figure out pretty early on whether or not its phys def or specially defensive so that you can know whether to tera :Kingdra: or :Barraskewda: as allowing the game to go on for too long is only at your expense.

Anyways I hope anyone who sees this team enjoys it as much as I have, as I just kind of wanted to have a team that was fun but didn't rely on the more typical staples like :Kingambit: or :Dragonite: or :Zamazenta: . Anyways I hope you all have a great day and enjoy!

Solid team and congratulations on the peak. I would use Pokeaim's version as Sap Sipper is huge for checking Rillaboom as needed. I won't do a full rate because the team doesn't need a ton of fixing, but I would consider Heavy Slam over Flash Cannon on Hoodra to make sure Clefable and Hatterene don't set up in a Calm Mind war beyond your control. A second sneaky technique on AV Hoodra is Acid Spray as it can provide an out against the setup fairies along with any special sweeper that requires an escape hatch. It doesn't fit the set you have so I wouldn't rework the set, but I would go Heavy Slam over Flash Cannon for sure. Knock Off on it is probably redundant with Iron Valiant, but the coverage move in place (Thunderbolt, Ice Beam) is dealer's choice. Pelipper technically could run 248 HP EVs instead of 252 to minimize hazard chip, but that's a small technicality. I enjoyed the salt water that came from watching those replays.

Goodra-Hisui @ Assault Vest
