Randbats Spotlight Ladder!

The Randbats Spotlight Ladder's purpose is simple: to give formats that would not otherwise have a chance to be played on a wider scale. Each other month, four options will be given, and the winner after a week of voting will have its own ladder for a period of two months!

As usual, this Randbats Spotlight will feature a SMOGON TOURNAMENT related to it. More details about this tournament are included in this thread, so keep reading!

YOU MAY VOTE FOR MULTIPLE FORMATS!

What are all these formats and mods?

Gen 5 Pokebilities:
With Pokebilities, your pokemon will have not just one but all their legal abilities at the same time. Prepare yourself to face ungodly combinations like Moxie + Intimidate or Magic Guard + Regenerator in the generation that introduced hidden abilities and, overall, changed the way those have been conceptualized ever since

Gen 9 Hackmons Cup Chimera 1v1: Type, Item, Ability, Stats, Moves 1-2 and Moves 3-4 is the order you need to remember whenever you are going to select the pokemon that are going to combine into one powerful "chimera", to use in a 1v1 battle. Differently from last year's Spotlight, this variant of Chimera will be even crazier because with the sheer randomness of Hackmons, the most unexpected combinations could be unleashed!

Gen 1 Challenge Cup: The perfect format for the lovers of all the ""uniqueness"" you can find in gen 1, this variant of Challenge Cup includes some pokemon like Kakuna and Weedle that do not appear in regular randbats because... well, you can guess why. Since we are talking about Challenge Cup, pokemon will randomly have any legal moves, including the likes of Bide, Double Team and, most importantly, the terrifying Wrap.

Gen 8 Monotype Camomons: In gen 8 Monotype, Dynamax represented a powerful tool that sometimes could really help you flip a bad matchup in your favor. And you know what's better than one way to deal with bad matchups? Two of them! Camomons adds yet another factor of unpredictability that could easily change the tides of a match by giving each pokemon the typing of the first two moves on their movesets.

!IMPORTANT! Tournament information

This month's Randbats Spotlight is going to include a SMOGON TOURNAMENT. The format of this tournament will be the format chosen as the Randbats Spotlight. The length of this tournament will be 2 months, which will determine the pace of the tournament. The prize of the tournament will be 1 month of RPW (Room Prize Winner) and the possibility to pick a format for the next Randbats Spotlight poll!

How do I sign up?

Please do not sign up in this thread, a new thread will be open for the tournament itself.

Rules and additional details:

- When selecting a format to vote on as the winner, you will have a wide array of options, from modded variants of ladders that already exist, to formats that are challenge-only, to formats that don't exist at all! However, these are subject to coding limitations, and formats that have recently been a bimonthly spotlight cannot be voted on again for several months.
- This thread is open for discussion. Stay cordial, follow all site rules.
- Only votes in the poll above will count. Please do not type your vote out in a reply.
