Since this thread is all about my opinions making some people sad, let's continue that trend with "uninformed power rankings from someone that barely scouted half of the tours' players"!
1. Kangaskhan
Y'all are gonna call me an old fashioned, nepo-picker staff that sees Lucas-Javi-damm-Nate and goes "yes this is my #1". And you know what, you might be right, but I also am seeing a very solid Kanga draft. Not only getting the goat Star Wheel for their first pick, I had the Optidoxes, Peums, Scizors, and so on as strong candidates to be on RBTT even. Overall I think Kanga went for a nice mix of experienced players, raising stars, and strong subs that will let them compete every week with the right mentality.
2. Tyranitar
What can I say, they went for the classic "strong randbats players available" formula, like Metagross did last year, and we all know that worked for them. Their weekly line up will be really scary, and with the right motivation, they can win it all.
3. Dragapult
This is the "we scouted like gods" team in my humble opinion. I personally checked their early round players cause never heard of them, just to see that paylolo had drafted literal diamonds in the rough worth a lot if they adapt to the team tour scene. Not only that, on the later rounds they were smart enough to bring some old guard and experienced players to balance it out + cover MB quite well, so I expect that team to have a great competitive environment and to make big noise on RBEL II.
4. Pidgeot
Pidgeot and Sableye can be interchangeable, I have these two as both fair candidates to enter playoffs. I put Pidgeot higher mainly because I think their team has more potential to be consistent. They went for a similar strategy than Tyranitar, but I think they don't have that many strong hitters. They seem solid and will compete every week, but will need smart thinking from their managers and a motivated line up to secure playoffs.
5. Sableye
Pidgeot and Sableye can be interchangeable, I have these two as both fair candidates to enter playoffs. I put Sableye lower simply because I think they took the risk of bringing some names that want a comeback era. That being said, maybe that's exactly what you need on RBEL, right? I think their line up has very good first rounds picks followed by a lot of strong pokemon players that not always had the best luck in rands, and maybe 2025 is their year to show what they got. I started my ranking with them at like 7 yet they got up the more I looked at it.
6. Mawile
They seem to have brought some stours seasoning to RBEL and we'll see if that pays off. I'm so unfamiliar with this team that maybe they shut my mouth and go all the way; after all, I do think Tuthur and JJ have the tours + rands knowledge to potentially make a winner team. I hope you all add some new faces to the community that we'll see more during the year.
7. Venusaur
Venu had the same strategy as TTars and Pidgeot, but overall I think they might have some holes on their line up. This can mean two things: that they will need great communication within their team to move things around in case their original plan doesn't work, or that yonmd will send me screenshots of this text every time they win a week. We'll see. This team is full of players with amazing potential, though, so I'd love to see them shine.
8. Glalie
For what it's worth, this is their spot mainly because they were the only team that had issues during the draft. Their managers are experienced and know the community, their line up will have some hard hitting names like Hairoll, 13enji, AIRed, etc., but I'm interested to see how they cover the rest. That being said, even I have been drafted by frosty some time ago and can attest that his team environments are great, solid, and with a lot of competitive spirit, so I can't wait to see Glalies show some surprises this season.
