Team building process
i wanted to try building a team with CB golurk, as i havent seen it often and it is pretty powerfull

since he is a physical attacker, i added special mew to cover a special sweeper role, as it is quite unexpected, and people think that he will baton pass after the nasty plot or be a support variant

i needed an entry hazard layer, and a physically bulky skarmory also filled the role of a physical wall. i decided on a subroosting set over a more offensive variant.

i now had two dark weaknesses and one ice weakness, so i decided to add in technician hitmontop, as he is also a great revenge killer.

i didnt have a special wall, and seeing as i see quite a lot of volcarona, i decided on special defensive heatran, due to his good bulk and good special attack

i didnt know what to put in the last slot, so i decided on special nidoking due to his enormous coverage and great power

after a few battles, i realised that i pretty much had nidoking's role covered between mew and heatran, so i replaced him with CB haxorus

In depth
Golurk @ Choice Band
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 208 HP / 252 Atk / 48 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hammer Arm
- Shadow Punch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
the high attack stat on this thing combined with iron fist makes hammer arm and shadow punch potent to say the least. it counters terakion and tyranitar better than most of the rest of my team despite its weakness to crunch, but completely destroys gengar, the lati twins and other psychic types with shadow punch.

Mew @ Life Orb
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
my dedicated special sweeper. boltbeam provides excelent coverage, and this is generally what i go to to take out any dragons once i have wittled them down with either skarmory or heatran, depending on the dragon. also deals very well with the common jelicient walls via stab psychic or thunderbolt if psychic gets disabled via cursed body. might switch this out for a calm mind jirachi for a more dedicated dragon counter whilst still having that fantastic coverage.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Def / 84 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Drill Peck
- Substitute
probbably my closest thing to a lead. the immense physical bulk combined with sub-roost makes it immensely difficult to kill, and walls conkeldurr brilliantly despite its stab hitting for neutral. it generally fairs better against the bulk up variants, which tend to carry pursuit or payback as a coverage move, so i dont have to rely completely on golurk for countering fighting types.

Hitmontop (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Fake Out
- Mach Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Hi Jump Kick
a nearly flawless revenge killer, which destroys tyranitar, scrafty, lati twins, offensive ghost types, heatran, hydreigon, ect. and is just good at generally cleaning up. not to mention that stab hi jump kick this gen is amazing. provides good synergy with mew in terms of offensive coverage.

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Roar
my special wall and also tank. roar is on this set to phase a sweeper or to annoy once stealth rock is up. also my best status inducer on this team, with the combination of toxic and lava plume. both offensive moves provide some solid damage of of heatran's base 130 special attack. i chose heatran over, say, blissey as a cleric for wish and heal bell support due to the improved offensive ability of heatran

Haxorus (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dual Chop
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Brick Break
this thing is only on here to be an offensive powerhouse, so im happy to replace it. the things the replacement should have are rapid spin or wish support or a weather counter, whilst still being reasonable as either an offensive powerhouse or a physical wall as i got swept by a cloyster due to bad prediction letting it shell smash and then not killing it right off the switch.

thanks for reading, and i hope you have some suggestions that will help me improve my team :)
