Random Tandem​

Premise: A "Bring 9, Pick 6" random battle format, except players build teams of 3 Pokemon that determine the other 6 brought.

Battle Format

• In this metagame, each team is made up of 3 Heads and 6 Tandems.
  • Heads are the Pokemon selected in the builder; they have fully customizable moves, item, abilities, EVs, etc.
  • Tandems are determined by the Heads on the team, each Head having 4 Pokemon in their tandem pool.
    • Tandems have a couple properties different from Random Battle sets:
      • Always Lvl 100
      • No EVs, max IVs, Neutral Nature
• Teambuilding
  • Teams consist of maximum 3 Pokemon
  • You may choose a Pokemon that does not have any tandems, but this will cause you to have less than 9 Pokemon on Team Preview.
• Team Preview
  • 2 Pokemon are chosen from each of the 3 Heads' pool of Tandems, creating a team of 9
  • Each player selects 6 Pokemon and the battle proceeds as normal from there
• Standard Gen 9 OU Mechanics, Bans, and Battle Clauses

Submissions

• Heads
  • Choose a single Pokemon as the head
  • This Pokemon is completely unadjusted; no changes to types, ability, movepool
• Tandems
  • To reiterate, Tandems have a couple properties different from Random Battle sets:
    • Always Lvl 100
    • No EVs, max IVs, Neutral Nature
  • Choose 4 Pokemon to make up the Head's pool of Tandems
  • Each tandem must have at minimum 1 ability, 1 item, 4 moves, and 1 Tera typing to chose from (You may have more than that on each Tandem, but the amounts listed will be chosen)
  • You may add 1 ability or move not natively found on each Tandem
• All Pokémon, moves, abilities, and items must be available in the SV format
• You may submit Pokemon whether or not they are in another Pokemon's random set.

Slates

• Each participant is limited to one submission per slate.
• Each voter gets 3 votes. The submission(s) with the most votes is added to the metagame.
• Additionally, themed slates may occasionally be introduced.
