ORAS OU Rashe's OG #1: 5 Megas (Peaked 1,350)

So I tried some new things. I haven't done any damage calculations yet, so all of the EVs are still 252/252. I went with the standard: 2 Physical Attackers, 2 Special Attackers, 1 Physical Wall and 1 Special Wall.

Mega Flygon (Zygarde) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
I wanted to work with Zygarde. One of the major differences between Zygarde and Garchomp is that Zygarde gets Extreme Speed (and Zygarde is my favorite color.), which is excellent to help Zygarde be a cleanup sweeper. Although Aura Break is a completely useless ability. Outrage is great for damage, but I only use it if I really need to, like to protect my setup. The D-dance setup manages to happen pretty often.

Mega-Basculin (Feraligatr) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Ice Punch
- Aqua Jet
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
I'm really not too happy about my coverage options on this set. Aqua Jet has plenty of uses. Ice is great coverage all the time. Considering the only other ice move is on the Raikou. Earthquake is there for some random extra coverage.
I'm starting to feel like Feraligatr is almost completely outclassed by Azumarill in OU and might switch it in.

Mega Dunsparce (Togekiss) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Trick
- Thunder Wave
- Flamethrower
Trick is great for ruining... A lot of things. Setup, hazards, screens. Screw your Clefable two times over. But it's also great to just keep the Choice Scarf on the Togekiss. I'm sorry that I'm one of those jerks ruining the meta, but Scarf Air Slash with Serene Grace is great. You can't have an OU team without a fire move, so I had to put it on Togekiss. But it's pretty unfortunate that it dies to Bullet Punches from the things it's trying to use Flamethrower on

Mega Jolteon (Raikou) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Pretty standard. Thunderbolt for the things that need Thunderbolting. Volt Switch to bail. Hidden Power for the ground switches. Although it is pretty terrible having just 2 ice moves on the whole team. And having one be on the one weak to ground. See Togekiss.^

Danger Bush (Ferrothorn) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 SpA / 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
Every team needs a hazard setter. Ferrothorn is also generally a great physical wall, especially if Zygarde can resist the fire moves so strongly.

Mega Spiritomb (Sableye-Mega) @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Calm Mind
- Dark Pulse
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
I thought I should have a Spinblocker for Ferrothorn. This team isn't too worried about Stealth Rocks, but it is missing any kind of taunt. So it seemed like Magic Bounce would be pretty crucial. I was also missing any kind of a real special wall. 0 Speed to reduce damage from Gyro Ball when it goes against Ferrothorn.

I'm not particularly invested in having any one on my team, so if you have ideas for
  • Complete Pokemon replacements
  • Moveset Changes
  • EV Spreads
  • Nickname Ideas
Then I'd love to hear.

Hey there,
Cool team but I think there's a lot that can be done to make it better.

: Zygarde does not really do super well with your team, and you were weak to stuff like scizor as you noted. Since ferro is being replaced, garchomp is similar to zygarde but it provides stealth rocks support and a solid check to scizor and other physical attackers like Mega Metagross or Bisharp. The full set will be at the end of this post.

: Run Waterfall > Aqua Jet and Crunch > Earthquake. This is the best coverage you can get with Feraligatr. You can also use Aqua Jet over Ice Punch if you struggle with opposing priority and don't need a way to hit Mega Altaria, or garchomp harder. A Jolly Nature is preferred on a dragon dance set to outspeed more fast pokemon when at +1 speed.

: A scarf set is cool, but with my other suggestions you don't need the speed or ability to trick clefable (excadrill). You are weak to stall, so i suggest a Nasty Plot / Roost / Heal Bell / Air Slash set. With a Shed Shell you can beat the most common stall team as gothitelle won't be able to trap you, and you can pursuit trap with Tyranitar and remove it from the game, allowing you to just win. I'll leave a full set at the end of this post.

: As previously mentioned, with a scarf tyranitar you are set to beat stall in conjunction with togekiss. It is also a solid check to birdspam and provides sand for sand rush excadrill, and helps you beat stuff like gengar. The set will be at the end of this post.

: Excadrill is nice as an electric immunity and provides rapid spin support. Under sand it is a solid revenge killer and checks fairies like clefable, diancie, altaria, or gardevoir very nicely as well. Full set will be at the end of this post.

: You needed a good answer to some tough waters like azumarill or keldeo. Although Mega Manectric is good to take them on offensively and does well with tyranitar, I though Mega Sceptile might work better. It can switch into water attacks (be careful about secret sword or play rough though) and is a solid offensive check, and also works well with TTar which beats most flying types that threaten serperior (especially with excadrill). Its also perfect to take on Rotom-Wash which the rest of the team struggles with. I'll leave the full set at the end of this post.
