Hey guys I hope you don't mind me being brief at the moment I just made a really thought out and elaborate thread and it was deleted so I just want to get my team up to see what you guys think. I don't no much about nature though, I saw other people added it so I am open to any impot on that (and everything for that matter). Thanks

pokemon:

Goodra Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
EV's: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpA
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Wave
- Thunderbolt

Goodra is my wall. It has insanely high special defense which makes it good for taking most fairy hits along with some dragon hits. Boosting the Hp and the assault vest just keep him nice and bulky and with a raised SpA moves like flamethrower and sludge wave are perfect high hitting moves that take its competition quickly. His biggest weakness would most likly be a physical dragon like garchomp.

Gengar megastone
Ability: Levitate
EV's 252 SpA / 4 SpDef / 252 Speed
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb

Gengar has ridiculous special attack and matched with speed and a mega evolution he is tough to get around. Giga drain gets back a little health and takes out ground and rock pokemon my other pokemon might have trouble with.

Tyranitar Leftovers
Ability: Sandstorm
EV's 252 Atk / 4 Hp / 252 SpDef
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch / aerial ace

Tyranitar has a high attack but a lot of weakness and the largest is fighting which makes aerial ace an o.k. option but fire punch does more damage and hits more weaknesses. The chances I have to leave him in on a fighting pokemon will only happen if I have to do it so I am up in the air about the two moves at the moment. Everything else pretty standard. Thought about stealth rocks but already bread a perfect larvitar and most likely will not use him as my opener anyways.

Talonflame none
Ability: Gale Wind
EV's 252 Atk / 8 Hp / 248 Speed
- Acrobatics
- Flare Blitz
- Sword Dance
- Steel Wing / Roast

An extremely fast pokemon with priority flying moves that has a base stat of 110 while not holding an item is really nice. Not sure about roast since I don't have brave bird. Since it is resistant to fairy steel wing would be a nice tec. Between noviern and this will most likely be my opener depending on who I face. Noiverns u -turn and speed make me lean towards him though.

Aegislash (??? no idea for an item)
Ability: Stance Change
EV's 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpDef
- Sacred Sword
- Sword Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- King's Shield

Not sure on what item he should be holding. Move-set from what I have seen is pretty standard and needs little explanation. I believe he would be referred to as a physical sweeper. King's shield and stance change play into all kinds of fun chinangens.

Noivern Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EV's 252 SpA / 4 Hp / 252 Speed
- Draco Meteor
- U - Turn
- Hurricane
- Flamethrower / Focus Blast

Noivern is most likely going to be my opener seeing how he is so fast and has a the u turn which makes it easy to switch out of a bad situation. Hurricane is great along with draco meteor. I am leaning toward focus blast just because I already have a pokemon carrying fire moves and only one other that has a fighting move. Since he is flying rock pokemon can hurt big but with a heavy SpA matched with a large Speed stat getting the first move is more than likely so I can either go for the K.O. or the U - turn and get out of there.

Open to any and all suggestions, thank you!

Aegislash could use either a life orb or leftovers. Life orb for additional damage at the cost of recoil, or left overs to recover some damage taken during shield stance.

Talonflame and Noivern suffer from Stealth Rocks and you could use a spinner. noivern especially with u-turn can only switch in so much and with so little bulk it'll drop fast.

I recommend excadrill over tyranitar, it shares a ground weakness with aegislash but noivern and talonflame can both save you from that. The set I recommend for Excadrill is
excadrill/life orb
mold breaker
252 attack/4spd/252 speed
jolly/adamant
swords dance
earth quake
rockslide
rapid spin

this gives the same offensive presence you were going for with tyranitar but also adds an essential role to protect the more fragile members of your team

Ok, that makes sense but how do you get an excadrill (I didn't even know he was an option until you can transport pokemon in from different games, FS)? Since I do have a have two light flying types along with gengar and aegislash is also vulnerable, is there any replacements I could sub in over one (preferable talonflame). I also noticed I am weak to a strong fire pokemon any thoughts on a good counter?

Hi, first id like to say that was probably better than my first team lol. Here are some changes that may help.

1. Acrobatics can be stacked with a flying gem( the item is used up first so when acrobatics is used, it factors in the flying gem boost but does not recieve the item nerf.
so id recommend a flying gem on the Talonflame for more burst damage with the first Acrobatics.
2.Ttar is already pretty specially tanky(sandstorm makes rock types special defense go up by 1.5x) so you could consider replacing Goodra with a spinner.
Good luck

A nice fire counter would be anything with flash fire as it absorbs the attack

heatran is bulky and can provide burns for the team, but he isn't available till pokebank comes out (neither is flying gem?)

garchomp resists fire x4 and can provide some pressure, but shares a x4 ice weakness with noivern (aegislash resists it nicely however)

I'm not too fond of either, but I'm sure some research could lead you to some nice sets
both of these would work as nice replacements for talonflame in my opinion

Read the rules please, your descriptions aren't good enough. PM me with improved descriptions and I'll unlock this.
