Hello guys, i was playing on the OU after pokebank with this team with quite succes, and when facing teams that arent prepared at all to play against batton pass teams you just get easy wins, and even against prankster taunters, team with roares and all that shiet that can make your life hard on higher levels, you can still get a win.

The team im talking about is this.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def

EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 30 Def / 30 SAtk / 30 SDef / 30 Spd
- Stored Power
- Baton Pass
- Calm Mind
- Dazzling Gleam

Smeargle (M) @ Power Herb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature

- Swords Dance

The thing is, i am going to play a local championship that the metagame is Pre-pokebank, and one of the main pokemons of the team and usual lead ( scolipede ) cant learn iron defense. He doesnt learn any moves that buffs defense or even special defense, so i have to change something if i want this to work on pre-bank enviorement

i think this team is pretty balanced, i started using it based on a month old RMT from a user i cant remember the name and made some changes on IVs, Natures, and movesets after playing and think the team is really optimised right now. i want help to make it viable WITHOUT the irondefense on scolipede...

i think espeon, mawile and smeargle are the pokemons that really cant be changed, vaporeon works really well but with out the reliability of speed boost i think i could change it... drifblim could be another pokemon that works better and i dont really know what to do with scolipede

Can you guys help me ? sorry for the bad english, im not from an english speaking country

I'm not too familiar with baton pass teams, but I have seen quite a few while laddering.

I really like your scolipede set, running iron defense with weakness policy is a bit of a gamble, but if it works out it looks really cool. Since iron defense isn't available, try replacing it with swords dance. Instead of weakness policy, try leftovers. I'll let you be able to put out a little more substitutes and make it easier to restart the pass if the chain gets broken.
Mr. Mime could be a good addition to your team. His ability Soundproof makes him immune to roar and perish song, both of which screw you. He helps take off the pressure from espeon.

Like I said, I'm no expert on Baton Pass teams and I probably didn't help much, but good luck

I also don't have a ton of experience with baton pass, but is blazekin banned in your local tournament? Consider that he was the first mega to get banned here for a reason haha, he is a terrifying speed boost baton passer (is that pre - pokebank legal?). For scolipede, I would suggest sword dance/baton pass/protect/megahorn. Scolipede can get pretty fast and strong on his own, and if your opponent is using anti baton tactics, you need more pokemon that aren't completely dependent on the baton chain!

Hello.
Your descriptions are too short to fit the RMT rules requirements.
I encourage you to PM me an updated version of this team with beefed up descriptions, and since you're new, to join the Mentor Program. I'll be unlocking this thread after that.

Have a nice day.
