The central strategy behind this team is abusing sandstorm (obviously). I reap the benefits, you take the drawbacks, and the outcome is me emerging victorious.
I try to throw in a curveball every now and then to throw people off. And this team in general has been doing farely well as of late, though I can't say the people I've been playing are exactly high caliber players. (I've just been laddering).
Anyway, if you can help me with the team, aka if you notice any necessary changes that I should make, if you'd point them out to me I'd appreciate it. You can also rate it too, but please use a 1/10 scale. Thanks for your help. Now on with the team...
Tyranitar (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 240 HP/36 Atk/48 Def/184 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Fire Punch
- Crunch
- Thunder
- Taunt
This is a surprise set obviously. More of an anti-starter set. This starts the sandstorm that helps the whole team (mostly). It easily takes down common leads such as Bronzong and Gyarados..and other stealth rockers, bpers, etc.
---
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/128 Atk/128 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Hypnosis
- Earthquake
This is pretty much the run of the mill bronzong set...Its a great defensive wall, can set up stealth rock, and induce sleep, all while being able to run over fast pokemon and avoiding ground attacks. What's not to love?
---
Garchomp (M) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Outrage
- Fire Fang
- Earthquake
Everybody hates him...I love him. I have a sandstorm team so its pretty much obligatory to have him in it. He likes to run over things when you put him in at the right time.
---
Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Knock Off
- Roost
The great defensive wall equipped with sand veil as well, my lone flying type...without a flying attack. Knock off is always a great surprise when they throw in another wall to take him on. He's a great heracross counter...and can heal himself...I can't really ask for much more.
---
Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
- Reflect
---
The lone pokemon that isn't helped by the sandstorm. It surprises things with thunder wave, helps set up a reflect every now and then, and runs over a lot of pokemon with grass not
Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP/96 Def/100 SAtk/60 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Lava Plume
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
They can only put one pokemon on my team to sleep..I make sure its this one, not only does it run over almost everything that induces sleep, but this sleep talk set has worked wonders for me. I love having that little surprise up my sleeve when they put my fire type to sleep just to watch it knock them out during its dreams.
As I said in the beginning, I appreciate any comments or help, thanks for reading.
