Gyro Ball
Stealth Rock

My starter. Set up Stealth Rock, put up a Reflect, or Hypnosis something. Gives good support to everyone else. I was considering Explosion instead of Gyro Ball...

Gyarados@Wacan Berry
Adamant
216 Hp / 16 Atk / 176 Def / 100 Spd
Dragon Dance
Taunt
Waterfall
Earthquake

BulkyGyara. Gives my team a solid sweeping force near the end of the game. Also it can come in on any Bulky waters coming in against Bronzong. Takes care of fire types too. Wacan Berry is for if it gets stuck one on one with an electric type, and also because I'm trying my best not to break Item Clause.

Swampert@???
Relaxed
240 Hp / 216 Def / 56 SpA
Earthquake
Surf
Ice Beam
Protect

I'm not sure for an item, but Swampert is good at countering popular things, like bulky ground types, Tyranitar, and Electivire. I'm ot sure whether it should have Protect as a scout move, or some other support move. Gives Gyarados cover against Electric types.

Blissey@Leftovers

Toxic
Flamethrower
Counter
Softboiled

My special wall. Out-stalls things with Toxic, and surprises physical sweepers with counter. Flamethrower is for Steel types and Skarmorys/Forretresses who think they can come in and set up without a threat.

Heracross@Choice Scarf
Adamant
252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 Hp
Close Combat
Megahorn
Stone Edge
Night Slash

With four bulky pokemon, I thought I should have at least two sweepers, this is one. The extra speed is nice, and I think would be more important, as it can outrun some pokemon that might break through the team's defenses (Lucario's Aura Sphere, Azelf's Explosion, etc.). Good at revenge killing.

Alakazam@Focus Sash
Timid
252 Spd / 252 SpA / 6 Hp
Counter
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast

Surprises Weavile with Counter, and any other physical sweeper. It could also use that Sash to 2HKO certain Pokemon that would OHKO Alakazam. Provides our core Special offense, which might be asking a lot from him since sometimes he can be a bit unstable, especially when Sandstorm or Hail is in play.

I'll try this team out, but I think it'll have trouble with Specsmence to some extent. Gyarados and Alakazam are the only two that might have trouble with passive damage. I'm thinking about replacing Alakazam. Jolteon, Starmie, and Gengar are other options I already have trained and ready. Despite having 4 bulky pokemon, I still think it'll have trouble staying alive, as 3 of them don't have reliable recovery, and Blissey can't wall everything. Any suggestions?

Flamethrower? ice beam is perferred, but that works since you've got no fires here.

Meh, it's nothing new. Just a bunch of standardly used pokemon.

Simple things first. I suggest leading with your SashZam so its Sash+Counter strategy doesn't get foiled by indirect, switchin damages (spikes/SR) or weather conditions (Sandstorm and Hail).

Your Blissey is kind of iffy. Blissey is too easily threatened by physical attacks to use Counter to its full potential. I suggest going with the standard WishBliss set or Softboiled set, but with 148 HP, 252 Def, 108 SpD. This will ensure that SpecsCario can't take your whole team down.

Anyway, Celebi with a bulky water alone (a common defensive trio with Heatran too) can wall your team too easily. I suggest going with Adamant Band Heracross to threaten and erase them from the scenery more easily, as Megahorn is an OHKO on Celebi, CC an OHKO on Heatran and both STAB attacks can 2HKO a bulky water.

Be careful of Infernape as it OHKOs anything not named Gyarados, which is 2HKO with Stealth Rocks up. I suggest CounterStar somewhere on this team just to counter that common MixSweeper. With the ability to survive a Grass Knot (as well as CC, Fire Blast and HP Ice) and KO Infernape with Surf, this is something you want.

Is that it... just to counter Infernape? No. Notice that Gyarados can easily set up against your team, seeing as nothing threatens it. With such a horrifying weakness, CounterStar plays a big role as it can usually outspeed and OHKO a x1.5 speed Gyarados with Thunderbolt.

Garchomp also runs rampant around here. The lack of a 'strong' ice attack will just let it set up and KO everything in your team. So basically, the set you should be aiming for is:
Starmie @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Nature: Timid
EVs: 160 HP, 124 SpA, 224 Spe (Just to outspeed other Starmies)
~ Surf
~ Thunderbolt
~ Ice Beam
~ Recover

I'm thinking about replacing Swampert with Starmie, is that the best change?

Also, since my Starmie is already trained to level 100, the most I can re-ev train it in one stat is up to 100, so should I bring up the Hp to 100 and split the remaining 60 between its defenses? (My Starmie was already ev trained as 252 SpA / 252 Spd)

I'm also questioning whether Starmie can really KO a Gyarados in one hit. I've seen Gyarados take a Thunderbolt before, without the aid of a Wacan Berry.

The Starmie idea is good, but CounterStar > Alakazam really seems like the only possibility, which seems bad due to the lack of disables on your team. I suggest putting Thunder Wave on it to cripple things on the switch (Alakazam, I mean).

@Kid Icarus
Quick calc:
Timid 252sp.att EV Starmie does Damage: 106.04% - 124.47% to your standard gyarados set. so it will OHKO like 95%< of the time.

Starmie should always be able to OHKO Gyarados without Wacan Berry unless Gyarados is made to be VERY bulky on the special defensive side. For your Starmie, your best bet would be doing something along these lines:

Starmie @ Leftovers/Expert Belt/Life Orb
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe
~ Surf
~ Thunderbolt
~ Ice Beam
~ Recover

I generally like Expert Belt because of a nice little boost to SE damage (which Starmie hits a lot of pokemon for) without having to sacrifice 10% every turn.

Does the EVs in a CounterStar make a big difference compared to mine? Like, how often it can switch into threats? Will mine be that much more delicate?

252 Sp. Attack Starmie using Thunderbolt against a 212 HP Gyarados: 91% - 107%

132 Sp. Attack Starmie ('counterstar') using Thunderbolt against a 252 HP Gyarados: 82% - 96%

First of all, change Bronzong's nature to a -speed nature, most preferably Relaxed. 252 HP / 152 Atk / 96 SpDef / 8 Def with Relaxed nature is probaly the best Bronzong. Use SashZam as your lead, or else you're going to have to scarape it. SashZam has to be a lead to take hits from CB Tar and get a double kill taking down their Tyranitar in order to work. If SS is up and it tries to switch in, it'll lose the point of Sash Zam. Put Starmie over Gyarados, this team really needs to counter those threats. Probaly don't use LO though, it takes away your health too quickly and counteracts it's important role on countering threats. For Blissey, 148 HP, 252 Def, 108 SpD Ice Beam / Wish / Protect / Seismic Toss is your best bet for beating Raikou, who can otherwise sweep this team. Like Jr. said, use CB Cross; it's much more efficent to beeat those walls with high ass defences. Leftovers on Swampert it needed to heal up as much health as you can; just incase Blissey can't get the Wish in time.
