Rate My Comeback Team (OU)

I retired from pokemon awhile back. But now, like Brett Farve, I'm back. And I have created my first new team since my return. I need some help to make it better. Thanks in advance.

Full Team
weavile.png

Death:Weavile:Jolly:Focus Sash:Pressure
4 hp, 252 attack, 252 speed
Fake Out
Brick Break
Night Slash
Ice Shard

Weavile is a great Anti-Lead. With Fake Out, it can make other people flinch while getting damage in, and with Focus Sash, I'm guaranteed to survive at least 2 hits. Brick Break now replaces Aerial Ace to deal with Tyranitar, who as been a thorn in my side before I added this move, Night Slash hits Gengars and Azelfs, and Ice Shard hits Dragons and Ground types.

flygon.png

Wings of Rage:Flygon:Naughty:Choice Scarf:Levitate
80 hp, 252 attack, 176 speed
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Outrage
U-turn

The Scarf Flygon is a great mixer set. Earthquake, Outrage, and Fire Blast hit everything in the game for at least neutral, and U-Turn is so I can switch out when my opponent sends in the counter (e.g. Weavile)

tentacruel.png

Nessie:Tentacruel:Calm:Leftovers:Liquid Ooze
204 hp, 36 speed, 96 special attack, 172 special defense
Surf
Ice Beam
Toxic Spikes
Hidden Power (Electric)

Tentacruel is such a beast as a Special wall. Rapid Spin is to get rid of pesky Stealth Rock, Surf gets really good damage with STAB, Ice Beam is to hit Dragons and Ground types, and Hidden Power is there to handle Gyrados when and if the time comes.

azelf.png

Little Floating Devil:Azelf:Naive:Life Orb:Levitate
4 hp, 252 special attack, 252 speed
Explosion
Flamethrower
Psychic
Grass Knot

As the name suggests, this is a floating little devil. This gets very good type coverage, and it also counters Blissey very easily. Grass Knot takes care of heavy Pokemon, Psychic gets STAB, Flamethrower takes care of Bronzong and Skarmory, and Explosion is especially there for Blissey. :D

celebi.png

The Pink Onion:Celebi:Bold:Leftovers:Natural Cure
252 hp, 220 defense, 36 speed
Hidden Power (Fire)
Recover
Substitute
Leech Seed

My new Celebi set. Haven't really tested it out, but it seems fine. HP Fire for those who resist leech seed, leech seed to sap health, recover to make sure I stay alive, and Sub...well...for a Sub.
scizor.png

Crimson Bug:Scizor:Adamant:Life Orb:Technician
32 hp, 252 attack, 204 speed , 22 defense
Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
X-Scissor
Superpower

After trying and failing with Gallade, and with a suggestion to use Scizor, I have decided to put him on my team. With SD and Bullet Punch, he helps me cover my soft spots really well. X-Scissor is for an extra STAB and Superpower is for Heatrans that might try and come in on me.

Thank you and please rate.

I haven't rated many teams so my suggestion may not be the best. But on Weavile, I would remove Aerial Ace and add Brick Break to counter Tyranitar leads and you would have neutral/super effective move against Steel leads, but if Infernape leads are more trouble for you, then stick with Aerial Ace. On Tentacruel, I would switch Giga Drain with Hidden Power Electric or Toxic Spikes. You do lack a way to combat Gyarados but I'm not sure what to suggest.

I don't see what Gallade is doing really. To kill Gengar, you have to survive a Shadow Ball. Even if you do, you can't kill Weavile before it kills you.

You should either replace it Heracross I think, so you can better handle Blissey and you have something to Pursuit Gengar who would otherwise really hurt you, specifically Life Orb Gengar.

I also think Tentracruel wants Toxic Spikes.

I'd put Flygon's 80 HP Evs into SpA to deal more damage with Fire Blast.

I'm actually worried how this team cannot handle Dark-type Pokemon, even with Gallade, which I don't see the point of him in this team, Weavile can pretty much come in, Sword Dance, and handle this team like no tomorrow. Mamoswine is also a problem, nothing here is actually switching in to the Ice / Ground combination, and again, doing the same as Weavile, possibly hurting your team. I know this team does not have any synrengy at all, because if it did, it would have something for these 2 Pokemon, which as of right now, you do not. Enough of that, to solve the problem, I would probably suggest replacing Gallade first of all. You need something that can handle Weavile, Mamoswine, shit Tyranitar as well, and what other Pokemon that the most popular Pokemon right now, Scizor. Scizor has a lot of potential in this team, thanks to its Steel-typing, its able to handle Ice Fangs and Ice Shards like a champ, and its also able to handle physical Tyranitar with ease. Scizor would be a good replacement for Gallade, you just need some investment in HP, Defese if possible, to take this hits better, and the rest can do into Attack, which Sword Dance + Bullet Punch alone handle these 3 Pokemon. I'm not really fond with the Heatran coverage this team has, as nothing is really switching in safely, except for Flygon, who resists both Fire Blast and Earth Power, and with Choice Scarf you will be outspeeding it and OHKOing with Earthquake, so just watch out for it, as Tenacruel + Flygon should be able to work something out.

Like somebody above suggested, taking out Giga Drain for Toxic Spikes seems ideal, seeing how you already have the best Swampert counter, Celebi, I doubt Tentacruel will be doing shit to Swampert as it cannot switch into Earthquake, and yeah, Giga Drain is a pretty shitty recovery move, so RestTalk Tentacruel with Surf / Toxic Spikes can be a pretty good option if you really want Tentacruel to survive.

Thanks Metaknight I will make the changes you said, however was planning on replacing gallade with a breloom. And also I need HP Electric on Tentacruel to handle Gyrados.

And Venom, thanks a bunch, you have convince me to add scizor. However, as you will see in the update of my team, i need the HP electric to handle gyrados, that was previously unable to be stopped on my team.

txspikes > hp electric on tenta and replace CM with recover on celebi. This lets you deal with gyara and fighting types better while gaining txspike support

Change Weavile to Jolly, take out Aerial Ace for Superpower due to the abundance of Heatrans. One thing to note is stabbed Night Slash does almost as much as S.E. Aerial Ace, and Superpower does just as much. Flygon set looks good, great wallbreaker/scouter. Tentacruel-not much of your team is weak to S.R, so you don't need Rapid Spin that badly. Take it out for Toxic Spikes. Azelf doesn't need Attack EVs, run Hasty 252 Spe/SpA. 125 Base attack Neutral natured Explosion will OHKO Blissey, plus you definitely want Max Speed. So if you want to keep your Atk EVs, run 36 Atk/220 SpA/252 Spe. Celebi is ok, however i think Sub/Leech Seed/Recover/HP Fire is a more effective set. (Note, HP Fire to take care of Grass types that are immune to Leech Seed. That has been the most successful set for me. For Scizor, Superpower over Quick Attack to take care of Heatran switch ins. I would suggest 4 Hp/252Atk/252 Spe Jolly to outrun Max Speed Jolly Ttar and Blissey. If Ttar/Blissey outspeed, they can flamethrower you or cripple you with Twave. Hope you can use my fixes.

There is absolutely no point in Aerial Ace for a starting Weavile as it is. Infernape will just Fake Out you before killing you next turn. Aerial Ace doesn't even come remotely close to OHKOing Infernape, doing about 58% average to it. I'd probably replace Weavile completely tbh. I'm thinking probably your own Infernape or something to set up rocks. If not, then why not try one of those annoying Scarf starting Jirachis everyone's raving about. Another revenge killer but with many many many more useful resistences than Weavile offer.

Thanks for the comment, Aeroblacktyl, but I really like Weavile as my starter. He as swept teams many times. I might look into a scarf Jirachi, as that sounds like a good set to try out.

Thing is, weavile is faster and will fake out first. That being said, aerial probably won't help. If you really want an anti-lead weavile, I suggest putting taunt over aerial ace/ brick break to prevent set-uppers, ninjask or smeargle, or slower leads from putting up rocks.

I really don't have any pokemon that is super weak to stealth rock, and weavile has ice shard for ninjask and brick break for smergle so those two don't pose a problem.

This is the last time I will bump it, then I will make a new team. I had a lot of success with this team, and I really want all the help I can get.
