National Dex Rate my Hoopa-U team

I want to make a team around Hoopa-U but I'm not very convinced of the final result in the team I don't have defog or stealth rock so if you could improve it I would be very grateful

:ss/Hoopa-unbound:
Hoopa-Unbound @ Choice Band
Ability: Magician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Hyperspace Fury
- Gunk Shot
- Fire Punch
- Zen Headbutt
I start with Hoopa-U I chose a choice band set hyperspace fury is his best stab gunk shot and fire punch is for coverage and zen headbutt for second stab for nature i chose adamant but i don't know if jolly would be better EVs max Atk and max Spe to maximize offensive presence

:ss/Scizor-Mega:
Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- U-turn
to support Hoopa I need pivot user and I believe Scizor-Mega is the best to start its high Def compensates very well with hoopa's low Def for the set is the classic set bullet punch for stab and priority sword dance for boost roost for recovery and u-turn for pivot EVs max HP and max Def maximize fisical bulk

:ss/Kyurem:
Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Def / 140 SpD / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power
- Roost
next i chose kyurem helps a lot against stall match up and rain match up for the set i chose the set Sub-Roost freeze-dry for stab earth power for coverage and roost for recovery EVs 56 HP is for 101 HP sub 60 speed for outspeed magnezone and the rest is to maximize bulk

:ss/toxapex:
Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Recover
- Haze
at the beginning I wanted to put in the team tapu fini for defog and for check greninja but i didn't like the idea of having two tapu in the team so i chose toxapex for special wall and greninja check i don't know if i did well i hope you will help me in case for the moveset scald for occasional burn toxic spike for azard recover for recovery and haze to stop settup swepper EVs 104 Def con max HP allows toxapex to survive due knock offs from choise band weavile and +2 kartana's leaf blade from full HP the rest of the EVs go on SpD to maximize special bulk

:ss/tapu koko:
Tapu Koko @ Choice Specs
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Dazzling Gleam
for the last two I need fast pokemon for pivot so I chose tapu koko as the first thunderbolt and dazzing gleam for stab volt switch for pivot and HP ice for coverage EVs max SpA and max Spe to maximize speed and damage

:ss/Greninja:
Greninja @ Groundium Z
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Dig
- Gunk Shot
- Ice Beam
- U-turn
for the second fast pokemon I chose greninja protean because I lacked the z move and with gunk shot it supports hoopa very well for the moveset dig to use with the z move gunk shot main attack ice beam for coverage and generally I choose spike as the last move but i needed pivot moves so i chose u-turn instead EVs max Atk to maximize the damage of gunk shot and z-move and max Spe to maximize the speed hasty nature for not to lower the power of ice beam

Hello! I like your team here, Hoopa-U isn't really the easiest Pokemon to build around I'd say but once you do it can work wonders and I love the idea here, however there are things in this team I'd like to change to improve it though!

So first problem with this team, no Ground-type. You pretty much have nothing to block Volt Switch outside of using Dig with your Greninja and so stuff like Choice Specs Tapu Koko and even Magnezone become absolutely hellish matchups especially when they are paired with something like Mega Lopunny and Corviknight and form a VoltTurn core, you don't really deal with them at all. Next, you don't have rocks nor do you have anyway of removing hazards, rocks are such an important aspect to any battle and as such can you need at least of way of removing them, and should absolutely carry them yourself. And last but not least, you don't have Ground-type resist, so Pokemon like Landorus-T and Garchomp, VERY prominent Pokemon can spam Earthquake for free, with that out of the way let's change the team a little.

Major Changes

:greninja: :gliscor:

I'm not really seeing the use for Greninja on this team, it doesn't really do much offensively that your teammates don't do already since your Kyurem alone completely destroys all the Pokemon your Greninja can deal with, the only thing it can really do is pivot but your team really needs the defensive backbone since it falls apart defensively otherwise. Gliscor is by far the best one for this team since it completely fixes all of your issues. It's a Ground-type, a Ground immune, it provides hazards for your team and can even remove them if you desire, but for this team I would say Defog Gliscor is the best one to use here. With Gliscor on your team, your team is much much better defensively since it also gives you a status absorber and a suitable Heatran check, which is the most threatening Pokemon in the tier.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 244 SpD / 20 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog

:scizor-mega: :heatran:

You want a Stealth Rocker on this team and Heatran is one of the very best in the tier. For this team, it still gives you the defensive merit of a Steel-type while being able to threaten a vast majority of the metagame with Magma Storm + Earth Power even without investment, it is also able to threaten every hazard remover in the tier because of this. It's the best Pokemon in the metagame for a reason and it works wonders for this team!

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 136 SpD / 120 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Toxic
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock

Minor Changes

  • Hoopa-U is very pursuit weak and your Hoopa-U has nothing to threatren Tyranitar with, as such I've changed Zen Headbutt to Drain Punch, since Zen Headbutt doesn't hit much hard your other moves don't already.
  • Kyurem doesn't really need the bulk since it's already a pretty bulky Pokemon already because of HP alone, what it wants is the power and max speed since being slower than Landorus-T before you get up a Substitute isn't practical.
  • Toxic Spikes is pretty unreliable at spreading status, even if you set them up, Defoggers are not affected and can remove them, as well as opposing Toxapex means that spreading poison is a struggle, as such I've suggested Toxic instead of Toxic Spikes for more ease in spreading status.
Final Team

:hoopa-unbound: :heatran: :kyurem: :toxapex: :tapu-koko: :gliscor:

And here it is! I hope this has helped you with teambuilding in the future and I hope you enjoy the team. Have a nice day!
