^I didnt mean for that to be the title. my friends thought it would be funny to change the title while I was gone... it was supposed to end at offense
hey guys. It's been a really long time I made a team for wifi. I recently decided to make an offensive team to deal with the fast pace of OU. rate away!
The Team:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Hasty
-Shadow Ball
-Trick
-Thunderbolt
-Explosion
My lead is a Choice Scarf Tricking Gengar. Tricking a Choice Scarf onto leads who try to setup is very helpful. It ruins leads like Toxic Spiking Roerade, Forretress, when he comes up, and especially Bronzong. He can also take on Azelf trying to trick some Specs onto your lead. If he doesn't Trick his Scarf away, he can come back and revenge kill a little or Explode on an unsuspecting Blissey.
Porygon-Z @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
-Tri-Attack
-Ice Beam
-Dark Pulse
-Hidden Power Fighting
Porygon-Z is my special sweeper. He's better in the late game, but he can inflict some heavy damage on a team who's not prepared for him. Choice Specs and Adaptability add to Tri-Attack's massive STAB power.
Machamp @ Leftovers
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Nature: Adamant
-Cross Chop
-Stone Edge
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
For this team, Machamp is a bulky sweeper and my ever so important sleep absorber. I chose Cross Chop because I dont have any Spikes, Stealth Rock, etc on my team, so I dont really need the pseudo-phaze of Dynamic Punch. Cross Chop's critical hit ratio is more useful to my offensive team. Stone Edge, obviously, is to hit fliers, namely Gyarados.
Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 120 Atk / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Nature: Naughty
-Draco Meteor
-Brick Break
-Fire Blast
-Roost
Not much is safe switching into mixed Salamence. He's my wall breaker in case you didnt know. Draco Meteor hits almost everything hard and Fire Blast is for what it doesnt. I went for Fire Blast over Flamethrower because I'd like to KO as much as possible before they can hit me after Life Orb damage. I went with a Naughty nature over Mild/Rash because I'd like to get rid of Blissey, Heatran, and Tyranitar as soon as I can. Roost to counteract that Life Orb damage or on a switch to cancel out Stealth Rock.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 220 HP / 220 Def / 66 Spe
Nature: Calm
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Heat Wave
-Roost
With the advent of Bullet Punching Scizor, all teams need to come prepared. Scizor cant do anything at all to Zapdos, as he resists his STAB attacks and hits back hard with Heat Wave. Zapdos also provides Thunder Wave support so Salamence and Porygon-Z can get what would otherwise outspeed them. Also, with Thunder Wave and Roost, Zapdos can Pressure-stall many of his enemies. What's with the EVs and nature? I got em that way. They work, so dont worry about it.
Weavile @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
-Pursuit
-Night Slash
-Ice Shard
-Brick Break
I found with an offensive team, I really needed a revenge killer, and here comes Weavile. Weavile can revenge kill like no other with super fast Pursuit or Ice Shard. I didnt see Heracross as much of a threat, so I went with Night Slash for more power over Aerial Ace.
One major problem I see with this team is Stealth Rock. It hits 3, so half of my team. However, I feel that eveyr single member of my team contributes in its own way. However, I am willing to change my "offensive" natured team to make it a better team. Rate my team please!
