ORAS OU Rate my OU team.

Hi all

So I've finally decided to try this EV training, competitive malarkey, and just wanted some insight from you fellow Pokéfans. Any constructive criticism will be taken on board and any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind that I'm a relatively new Pokémon player and have only just started learning about EV training, breeding etc.

Mega Gengar @ Gengarite
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 S.Atk / 252 SpD / 4 HP
Hasty Nature
- Dazzling Gleam
- Sludge Bomb
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball

My special sweeper. Amazing speed and special attack make it very hard to survive a hit from a STAB Sludge Bomb or Shadow Ball.

Garchomp @ Life Orb (Not sure whether to change for Choice Band/Scarf)
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance (would change for something like Stone Edge (suggestions?) if I go with Choice Band/Scarf)

My physical sweeper. Same as Gengar really, pretty hard to no get OHKO'd from a Sword Danced Outrage or Earthquake. Iron Head is for the fairies of course.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Ability: Competitive
EVs: 252 Def / 126 HP / 126 S.Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Recover

Main tank. Verd hard to OHKO. Scald works well against physical attackers and Toxic is for taking down other tanks. Recover just makes it harder to kill.

Greninja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 S.Atk / 252 SpD / 4 Atk
Naive Nature
- Spikes
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- U-Turn

Go in, spikes, survive with focus sash and U-Turn if needed. Not 100% sure about his moveset (not a fan on HP myself) but it seems to work okay.

Breloom @ ???
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Sky Uppercut
- Seed Bomb
- Spore
- Leech Seed

Not sure about this one, for starters it has effect spore... but I mainly use him for Spore/Leech Seed. The combo has won me a couple of battles. Not sure what item would be best for him, I'm open to ideas for a replacement for him.

Pokemon no.6 is a question mark. I've considered all sorts of possibilities but ultimately cannot come to a decision. Again, I'm open to any suggestions and I welcome all feedback.

You also need to provide in-depth descriptions for each Pokemon to explain your choices and their roles as required by the RMT rules. Furthermore, Gengarite and Greninja are both banned in OU. Please read the rules carefully and take a look at other RMTs and the RMT archive to see the kind of detail and format we require before posting a thread here.

Since you're new to this I'd also recommend checking out the Intro Hub which is a great place to start, the strategy dex for Pokemon analyses, and the OU forum which has many resources that can help you get a better grasp of the tier. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask. Good luck!
