Rate My Pikachu team (OU)

Yeah, I know this is absolutely RETARDED. It's shaky. It's a gimmick. It's EASILY countered by certain moves. But I've gotten a good amount of sweeps and ragequits using this team. And really, is there any greater feeling than the one you get sweeping with Pokemon's mascot?

Also: Don't be too harsh, I'm a bit of a noob here.

Ninjask

Leftovers

Careful nature

252 HP/180 def/76 speed

Protect
Substitute
Baton Pass
Swords Dance

Protect will guarantee immunity, Substitute can be used after that, but priority moves will hit. Speed boost ability will boost speed every turn. Kind of a staller. If you can predict that your opponent is going to use a non attacking move, use substitute so you can get a free swords dance in.

Smeargle

Focus Sash

Jolly nature

96 HP/120 def/230 speed/64 spdef

Spore
Ingrain
Baton Pass
Amnesia

Spore the enemy, then immediately ingrain to prevent roar/whirlwinders. If you're at 100% hp, use amnesia until you can't afford to take a hit (provided there's no poisoning/sandstorm or whatever). It's also a good idea switching into him from umbreon's mean look or vaporeon's acid armor/substitute.

Umbreon

Leftovers

Careful nature

252 HP/164 speed/92 spdef

Attract
Baton Pass
Confuse Ray
Mean Look

Trap the opponent, attract and confuse. Maybe switch into smeargle afterwards. The reason I boosted umbre's already beefy spdef instead of her defense, is because of vaporeon's acid armor. It's much easier to pull off multiple times than smeargle's amnesia.

This umbreon is female. Extra lulz when you baton pass to your male teammates and find out your opponent's pokemon is bisexual.

Togekiss

King's Rock (w/ Serene Grace)

Adamant nature

192 HP/252 atk/64 spdef

Air slash
Baton Pass
Nasty Plot
Roost

The reason I neglected speed is because I figured ninjask would be enough. Serene Grace, King's Rock, and Air Slash add up to a flinchfest. 64% to be exact. I put EVs on attack, so that if ninjask can get a swords dance or two in, Togekiss can take care of some opponents until you feel safe switching to the yellow mascot. You can roost to recover HP (although if you can get an acid armored amnesia'd ingrained vaporeon substitute to togekiss, you have a pretty permanent sub.)

Vaporeon

Leftovers

Bold nature

196 HP/252 Def/62 Speed

Acid Armor
Baton Pass
Substitute
Roar

I usually switch into this after my ninjask. It takes hits like a champ. It's even more beautiful if someone is trying to surf on ninjask, because of water absorb. Acid armor and substitute, then baton pass. If anyone tries to dragon dance or calm mind, or makes a substitute of their own, roar is always there.

PIKACHU.

Light Ball.

Thunderbolt
Surf
Grass Knot

Okay type coverage, completely walled by shedinja unless you have knock off. Basically, if you can get a good number of defensive boosts and special boosts in, you're usually set to enjoy an awesome pikachu sweep (or ragequit).

Edit: brick break is a good idea for blissey, thanks iliketurkeybacon.

What do you guys think? Good for a complete gimmick? Go easy on me, I'm new.

Nice team. I don't see any glaring flaws with the Baton Pass chain itself, but I have some suggestions for Pikachu's moveset. You'll probably want a physical attack to hit a certain pink blob, the best options being Brick Break, Volt Tackle, and Focus Punch. Volt Tackle does about as much damage to Pikachu as it does to Blissey, so that probably won't be a good idea. Focus Punch is nice if you're positive you can get a Substitute passed to Pikachu, but is unreliable otherwise. Two Swords Dances will be needed to OHKO Blissey with Brick Break though, so both moves are viable. Grass Knot and Surf are both good options to hit Ground-types hard, but using them together is pretty redundant. To avoid being walled by Grass and Dragon-type Pokemon, I suggest Hidden Power Ice instead of Surf. This set is walled by Shedinja, but the inclusion of Signal Beam wouldn't help with that.

iliketurkeybacon: Thanks for the suggestions, I think brickbreak is the most reliable. I apologize, I somehow thought signal beam would be super effective...

Headache: I figured Swords Dance would be better than x scissor or something, because it would boost togekiss's Air Slash (and brick break for pikachu if I put that on). Togekiss, because of the flinching, is somewhat of a backup before I switch to pikachu.

_Apocalypse_: Careful takes away special attack and boosts special defense. I thought that would be good since ninjask has no special attacks (or attacks at all), and could use a little more spdef. What nature would you suggest I use on ninjask?

I'm not quite sure about pika's nature, but since it probably won't have a problem with speed, would relaxed be good?

Togekiss

King's Rock (w/ Serene Grace)

Adamant nature

192 HP/252 atk/64 spdef

Air slash
Baton Pass
Nasty Plot
Roost

Togekiss's Attack Stat isn't worth using outside of the Hustle gimmick, and you are using Nasty Plot and Air Slash, which help the SPECIAL spectrum, not the physical. You also have 252 Atk EVs, that does nothing for Togekiss at all. Make them Special Attack EVs, then it makes since.

This team has NO way of preventing the numerous phazers, outside of Smeargle's timely Ingrain (your opponent won't wait that long since the moment you show Ninjask, Skarmory and them are coming out to phaze you). I would suggest a different lead outside of Ninjask, which is too predictable. Zapdos (like.. from the article set on Smogon) makes a good BP lead, and hard to stop with nice defenses, typing, and decent speed along with 125 Base Special Attack with which to hurt enemy leads with his STAB Thunderbolt. Also, a necessary element on a BP team is to have every Pokemon (bar Smeargle) have some sort of attack move, as otherwise they can just as easily Taunt you than phaze you with Roar/Whirlwind.

On either Umbreon or Vaporeon, use Wish (over Confuse Ray on Umbreon, over Substitute on Vappy), which helps to keep each passer alive. Wish passing is best used when use alongside something that is easy to pass to via their type synergy. So, here is Marriland's Team Builder, an excellent resource to figure out your type weaknesses on a particular team.

I suggest you use this list of all the Pokemon able to use Baton Pass in order to build your team with the necessary elements. Then, decide on the Receiver (in your case, Pikachu gets all the boosts).

Otherwise, I'm not sure how to rate your team without tearing it apart and "being too harsh", as you say. =(
