Electrode @ Wet Rock
Hasty; Static
252 Atk/ 220 Spd/ 36 SpAtk
-Thunder
-Hidden Power (Water)
-Explosion
-Rain Dance
My initial rain dance setup. Since it outspeeds most of the game, it is a pretty safe setup for rain. Thunder is for STAB and PAR support, and HP is just there for lack of other move. It dents Rhyperior and others that switch in, expecting Thunder/Explosion, at least. Faster things that can OHKO Electrode are discussed in a later Poke. I like Electrode because it can usually KO something, maybe screw over something, and die quickly so others can whore the rain.
Kingdra @ Lum Berry
Modest; Swift Swim
168 HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 88 Spd
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Hidden Power (Electric)
-Rest
The usual switch-in after Electrode has done its thing. Surf from this thing is a bitch. Its moves have a lot of coverage, and Rest is there as an option if the berry isn't used up. Kingdra s pretty bulky, so it can afford effectively do that. EVs make it outspeed Scarf Chomp, if it is Adamant anyway.
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Adamant; Intimidate
72 HP/ 252 Atk/ 184 Spd
-Waterfall
-Ice Fang
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance
Typical Gyarados, and doesn't depend as much on the rain as the others. Ravages teams with rain support though. Interesting note, it is the only member on my team weak to electric moves.
Electivire @ Expert Belt
Lonely; Motor Drive
252 Atk/ 80 SpAtk/ 176 Spd
-Thunder
-Ice Punch
-Earthquake
-Cross Chop
And this is for Gyarados and its weakness to electricity. It's a kinda predictable strategy, but it works. Thunder is for PAR support, and 100% accuracy in rain. Also makes a descent Blissey counter, if it switches into a Thunder Wave instead of a Toxic.
Bronzong @ Damp Rock
Relaxed; Levitate
252 HP/ 88 Def/ 168 SpDef
-Gyro Ball
-Rain Dance
-Stealth Rock
-Hypnosis
Midgame rain setup. Also, if Electrode is against a Scafrchomp or something of the like, this can be switched in for the initial setup. Also, it has Stealth Rock support. Hypnosis is for when Choice things stuck in Earthquake switch out. Gyro Ball is just there as an attack, you won't see much use of it.
Roserade @ Choice Specs
Timid; Natural Cure
4 HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 252 Spd
-Leaf Storm
-Sludge Bomb
-Shadow Ball
-Weather Ball
Strong special attacker, and solves the problem of Swampert/other bulky waters. Also, takes advantage of rain via Weather Ball. It also removes Toxic Spikes if it is ever an issue.
