Rate my rain dance team

I'm not sure if it's OU or UU, it's got a bit of both in it:

Starmie : Unda 170 SpA, 170 Sp, 120 HP, 50 Def
Modest(+SpA/-Atk)
Natural Cure
Damp Rock
Psychic Surf
Recover Rain Dance

Teams well with Toxicroak as a surf spamming team, alternating between surf and recover to keep both at high HP. The extra hp and defence mean it can survive most neutral hits, which is perfect for a lead. the speed EVs make it the fastest thing on my team next to Jolteon, and it doubles as a sweeper if needs be as well.

Jolteon : Procella 170 SpA, 170 Sp, 120 HP, 50 Def
Modest(+SpA/-Atk)
Volt Absorb
Life Orb
Thunder HP grass
Protect Rain Dance/thunder wave

Sometimes I'll use Jolteon as a lead for the same purposes as Starmie, but combined with something starmie or Ludicolo in a double battle, jolteon can be lethal with thunder. Having HP grass is quite useful for people who think they are being clever switching a ground type into thunder, actually being destroyed by the grass move. protect helps it couple with starmie or bronzong's explosion, and its high HP means it can take a beating before going down

Toxicroak : Proeliator 255 Atk, 125 Sp, 65 Def, 65 HP
Adamant (+Atk/-SpA)
Dry Skin
Black Sludge
Cross Chop Poison Jab
Protect Sucker Punch

Toxicroak's attack, combined with its already reasonable defences and HP, with black sludge and dry skin, means that every turn in the rain, he heals 20.75% HP every turn, which, combined with protect, can be quite a good stall. more so, combined with starmie's surf, he can recover 60-70% HP each turn. with his high attack, following protect with sucker punch can be quite good as well. Corss chop and poison jab are there to provide more damage, and toxicroak is quite useful for swicthing in against some other types which could destory my team otherwise. I might replace sucker Punch with Ice punch at some point.

Ludicolo : Tripudio 205 SpA, 205 HP, 100 Def
Modest(+SpA/-Atk)
Swift Swim
Damp Rock/Leftovers
Hydro Pump Grass Knot
Ice Beam Rain Dance

Ludicolo is my swift wim special sweeper, with his good movepool he can hit most things for a super or neutral hit. The defence Evs cover its 3 main weaknesses, flying, poison and Bug, which are all primarily physical moves. coupled with his high base SP def and high HP means that he is bulkier than he looks. Hydro Pump is just a high power move, and grass knot is obvious, against kyogre/groudon it's fairly effective. however, I may switch Hydro Pump for Surf, because it's more reliable, can hit both the enemies, and heals toxicroak for a large amount of HP. Few things can resist the Grass-WAter-Ice combinating, so he's quite good all round. Is almost useless against blissey though.

Kabutops : Falx 252 Atk 6 HP 252 Def
Adamant (+Atk/-SpA)
Swift Swim
Life Orb
Waterfall Swords Dance/Protect
Rock Slide Aqua Jet/X-Scissor

Kabutops is the main source of physical damage. She can hit huge amounts of damage, and can OHKO skarmory, forretress and bronzong with the Swords Dance Life Orb Rain boosted STAB watefall. I chose rock slide over stone edge, because rock slide can hit both opponents, has higher accuracy, and has a 60% chance of flinching SOMETHING in a double battle, which is extremely useful. Combined with Aqua Jet this can be a lethal combination. however, I am thinking about fielding X-scissor in place of Aqua JEt to get rid of things like Celebi and other psychics. however, her SpDef is something to be worked on, if it gets hit by a grass type special move it will go down, pretty much no matter what used it.

Bronzong : Ingravesco 252 def, 6 HP, 253 sp def
Relaxed (+Def/-Sp)
Levitate
Damp Rock/ light clay
Rain Dance Confuse Ray/light screen
Explosion future sight/reflect

Bronzong is my mid game rain replenisher, and works well if KAbutops is on the field doing a sweep. by putting up reflect and light screen, not only can it survive pretty much anything, kabutops will be able to take a pounding as well. what's more, levitate bronzong in the rain has no weaknesses. Added to high Defences reasonable HP, reflect and light screen, bronzong is practically impossible to 2HKO, let alone OHKO. THe othe rmove set works more as a staller, and can deal more damage, but isn't quite as useful. Explosion is really good combined with Jolteon or Toxicroak, or possibly kabutops, with protect, and Bronzong can leave a sizeable hole in the enemy team with explosion.

There's my team :) I have never made a team like this before, and I have never had to hatch so many eggs (137) to get the right nature and ability combination (ahem starmie). Any suggestions for improvements will be greatly appreciated. and yes, I know, I have no way to counter psychic pokemon :p Thanks very much!

Most of these pokes are really gimicky, i suggest using smogon sets for rain dance, honestly, you still need speed even with swift swim, i could say more but to do a full rate i would really have to suggest alternative EVs for most of your pokes, as the point of rain dance teams is to strike fast with extremely powerful water attacks, but you seem to be forgetting the speed.

Sorry I'm having trouble reading your thread due to formatting but maybe try using a Swampert lead like so.

Swampert.png

Swampert @ Damp Rock
Ability: Torrent
252 HP/ 40 Def/ 216 SpD
-Stealth Rock
-Rain Dance
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam

With this set up you have enough relative bulk to set up and get out. But with the way this Swampert is set you may want to carry a Spinner such as Starmie, you may already have one though, like I said your formatting is bugging me. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I would also suggest a Kingdra over Kabutops.

Kingdra.png

Kingdra @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
180 HP/ 252 Atk/ 72 Spe
Nature: Adamant
-Waterfall
-Outrage
-Dragon Dance
-Rain Dance

thanks guys. sorry about the formatting, im new here, this was my first team ad first post. and my first rain dance team. I'll have a look through the smogon setups and see what i can find. also, is this ^ the standard format for pokemon, what Katamari has done? thanks very much.

oh sorry i don't know if it's in the right place. it does work as a single team as well though, relatively well, but i dunno. thanks for that, i'd forgotten about steath rock spikes etc.
