Rate My Shoddy Soon To be D/P Team

So this is pretty much my shoddy team. I'm currently building it on D/P, hoping for some of the same results. I'm very happy with this team, and it has no legendaries. (I've always tried to avoid using them)

Weavile @ Focus Sash
Jolly
252 Atk/Speed, 6 hp
Fake Out
Counter
Night Slash
Ice Punch

This thing rapes. Fake out>night slash will always ko deoxys e and Azelf. Focus sash+counter basically gets you an extra kill, but I might switch counter to brick break for more coverage. With his amazing attack and speed, this guy can easily knock out 2-3 guys.

Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant
252 hp+attack, 6 Speed
Swords Dance
Superpower
Roost
Bullet Punch

Speed Evs to outrun other scizors. This guy just rapes and acts as my physical sweeper.

dpmfa134.png

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Bold
190 Hp, 252 Def, 68 Special Attack
HP Electric
Wish
Protect
Surf

This guy doesn't go down easy. HP electric laughs at gyarados, wish support is great, surf for STAB, protect for heal. Eats Heatran as well. Probably my favorite poke on the team. Can also sweep some teams as well.

dpmfa437.png

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Relaxed
252 Hp, 154 Attack, 8 Defence, 96 Special Defence
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Gyro Ball
Explosion

Stealth rock since it owns, explosion to take down annoying sweepers, gyro ball hits guys like weavile hard, and earthquake for coverage. Pretty simple.
dpmfa407.png

Roserade @ focus Sash
Timid
252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
HP Fire
Leaf Storm
Sleep Powder
Shadow Ball

Another poke that just laughs. Basically, I switch Roserade in, sleep power, if I miss then I have my sash. If I hit, it leaves them wide open and lets me set up Mence or Scizor. Leaf Storm hurts, especially water types, hp fire for annoying steels like scizor, shadow ball for coverage. Sludge bomb is useless imo.

Mence @ Life Orb
Adamant
Ev's 96 Hp, 252 Attack, 162 Speed
EQ
DD
Outrage
Fire Blast (Used to be crunch)

DD mence just owns, period.

Threat List:

Zapdos: Weavile, bronzong to blow it up.

Starmie: Vaporeon

Machamp: I can put him to sleep and take it from there.

Tenacruel: Used to be somewhat of a threat, I barely see them anymore.

Cresselia: Probably the one poke I have no answer to. I'd put x-scissor on Scizor but his moveset now already wrecks. Weavile needs like 3 hits to kill it. Salamence usually gets Ice beamed, Roselia can use sleep powder, but on a sleep talker this is almost useless. Scizor's special defense is too low to set up, and is usually ineffective when it does. Bronzong just isn't strong enough, neither is vaporeon. A major threat to my team.

I don't really think Gliscor should be leading. Maybe you could replace him with an Azelf, as they can set up Stealth Rock and it can have decent coverage.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability : Levitate
252 SpA / 211 Spe / 47 Att
Nature : Timid
- Psychic
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion

This is the classic Azelf lead that is still wonderful till' this day.
Replace Fire Blast over Flamethrower on Infernape. The accuracy isn't that big of a deal,IMO. Vaporeon is fine. Bronzong is fine. Try Focus Sash over Life Orb on Roserade since its very fragile. Mence is fine, I suppose.

Overall a solid team.

Mence wants Fire Fang, or Fire Blast. Put it over Crunch.
Dragon Claw already kills all of those mentioned.

Gliscor just isn't right. So bulky, yet you give it a Focus Sash? Either replace it, or make it scarfed. You're going to have to switch out every other game, doing no damage to Bronzong and all the Ice attacks out there. Then you can put Stealth Rock on Bronzong instead of Gyro Ball.

You're kind of mixape weak. HP Ice kills Gliscor, Mence, Flamethrower can get rid of Bronzong and Roserade, you may not win the speed tie. I'm not sure Vaporeon is OHKO'd by Grass Knot, I don't think he is.

I think blissey could help you with starmie and zapdos. they are completely walled once blissey comes in. you can use it instead of bronzong or vaporeon.

You are VERY weak to MixApe without Nasty Plot and HP Ice and Grass Knot. Even Vaporeon, which can handle a grass knot, is going down within a few turns, or gets weakened so badly he can't wall anymore. I would take away Toxic for protect so you can heal yourself without getting killed before wish kicks in.

you mention deoxies-e. Now that its Uber, you can change your comments to accomdate his adsence.

lol try not to triple post, even in your own thread.

You need to remember Cress isn't exactly the most offensively threatening pokemon out there.

I mean, sure it pretty much counters everything on your team but it can't really do much to you, besides maybe ice beam mence and rade, which you might want to consider switching for because 4/6 of your pokes are weak to fire.

Maybe switch roserade for scarftran.

heh, I didn't even realize. The only thing is I don't have any toxic/paralyze/sleep or anything like that, and sleep tremendously works on this team. Even thunderwave would be fine.

Hmmmm well you don't really have any reliable way to take out Scizor's main counters: Zapdos and Rotom-H.

Let's fix that.

Weavile is a decent way to beat Rotom-H...until you realize that he cant switch in, Rotom can switch out, and your countersash strategy pretty much ensures that it isn't sticking around for the late game. Let's replace Weavile with a standard CB Tyranitar, with Crunch / Stone Edge / Earthquake / Pursuit. This will not only effectively remove most Rotoms (be sure to scout for WoW first), it will also remove your somewhat ghastly CM Jira, Zapdos, and Cresselia Weaknesses. Not to mention the fact that like half of the teams right now carry no rock resist...

As much as I really love Roserade, she has to go. Bulkier Celebi will fit the bill much better here, since it can switch into Zapdos' Thunderbolt and takes less than 50% from Heat Wave if they don't run SpAtk EV's. Now I'm going to do something weird here and suggest Toxic on Celebi. Zapdos will likely stay in to Heat Wave if you bluff that you don't carry status (and often they will stay in anyway =/ ), and that will be your opportunity to Toxic and effectively remove Zapdos from the equation. If you give Celebi a Grass Knot / HP Fire / Toxic / Recover set, you will also be able to remove some pesky steels from Salamence's way, allowing an even easier sweep. Celebi should probably carry around 44 speed EV's to ensure that it is faster than bulky Zapdos.

Nitpicks:
  • Scizor should carry a few more Speed EVs to ensure that you outspeed other slow Scizors. I usually run 52 EVs on mine to get the jump on slow Metagross and Skarmory, but whatever works for you works.
  • In the same vein, I would give Vaporeon 12 Speed EVs to outspeed slow Scizors. The drop in SpAtk is negligible.
Good Luck!

This is the kind of thing I was looking for. Thanks for the advice!
