Gen 5 Rate My Team Gen 5 OU

I’m not really sure if this is a wholly original team but I did put it together myself. Got back into old gens from BKC lol and having a lot of fun with Gen 5 OU. Struggling against rain sometimes which I don’t think is an uncommon thing. I peak at like 1500. Struggles a bit against bulky SD Roost Scizor and bulk up Conkeldurr.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Wish
- Protect

Special Wall. Think it synergizes well with Landorus. Tries its best against Rain. Had Thunder instead of Protect for a little bit but I don’t know if that was the move

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Lax Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]

I really like this mon. The wish support from Jirachi is nice. Punishes Excadrill and Gliscor. Really important vs Drag mag.

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Best mon in the Tier right? Anti Rain. 2HKO some Rotom-W’s after rocks is cool. Like HP Ice to catch Dragonites and Celeb
Scizor @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Swords Dance

Fun cleaner and check after Landorus rocky helmet chip. Another mon to kill Ferrothorn, thinking of dropping

Latios (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt

Don’t know if this is move. Doesn’t 2HKO Ttar but nice to set up on politoeds in the rain. Maybe dark resist berry over lefties and recover over Tbolt? Maybe straight up replace with Latias?

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Sp
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

I really like the Band on Tar. Struggling to decide over bulk or speed or switch to a choice scarf. Fun to OHKO non resists with crit stone edge.

Hey man, glad to see more people getting back into Gen 5 OU. I have some suggestions that I think might help the team match up better into the majority of the metagame (including rain) while also keeping the idea of the team the same. So the first thing I would like to mention is that this is pretty Spike weak, especially with no Rapid Spin. I would replace with Scizor slot with an Excadrill. Excadrill is still a scary sweeper no matter if you decide to run Sword Dance or Choice Scarf, and also increases the longevity of you're team allowing Jirachi to more freely check the Psychic-Types Alakazam and Latios which Choice Band Tyranitar struggles to do since it has to give up bulk for attack investment and loses its Chople Berry or Choice Scarf.

The next thing I would suggest is using the Colbur Berry on Latios over Leftovers. Colbur would allow Latios to hit Tyranitar hard and switch out one time without having to worry about Pursuit removing you. With this I would also use Recover over Thunderbolt. Now I do believe that Thunder Calm Mind Latios has a place on more offensive teams, as you mentioned you are pretty rain weak and having a non-choice locked Latios that can boost up, stay healthy with Recover, and escape a Pursuit trap from Scizor would be really valuable here.

Now onto some minor changes, Choice Specs Keldeo should never really use Hidden Power Ice. That's reserved for Taunt, Protect and Choice Scarf Keldeo. Choice Specs Sword and Hydro and Scald remove all of the same targets that Hidden Power Ice would besides Dragonite which in this instance we have a Landorus-T do deal with. On to Landorus-T, I would recommend going maximum Speed over Maximum Defence. This team is really soft into Excadrill and having one of your checks to it be prone to getting flinched down by it, especially when you factor in it also has to take Stealth Rock when coming in it can get dangerous very quickly.

Cool team dude! Hope to see more of you!
