Preface
Hey guys first time posting in the forum, and I made a pretty decent OU Team which has won me fair amounts of battles. I must confess that I am a decent player, I win most of my battles against the average players in the smogon server but sometimes fall to strong opponents. I've had many teams, but this is one of my standard OU Teams that is most well-rounded.
Introduction
This team is pretty standard with good type coverage in terms of movesets and typings. Mainly, I set up SR with metagross and TS with nidoqueen. I have two boosting sweepers gyarados and latias, a dual-tank and anti-spinner rotom-c and finally my lategame wallbreaker/mixed sweeper infernape. Unleash the APEOWNAGE!

Analysis
Metagross@Leftovers
Adamant
252 HP | 238 Atk | 12 Def | 8 Spe
-Stealth Rock
-Bullet Punch
-Earthquake
-Explosion
A pretty standard set for the lead Metagross but I have provided it with leftovers instead of shuca/occa berry to prolong its role. Metagross isn't just there to lay down SR and die. If you want something like that get Aerodactyl. Normally if I'm against a Heatran/Infernape/anything that potentially carries fire blast I'd switch out. It is tank enough to take EQ from like a Hippowdon/Aerodactyl with only 12 Def EVs and should be able to lay down SR+explode or BP frail leads to death. Leftovers is useful so if I switch out without exploding it can come in multiple times to explode on the right target.
Gyarados@Life Orb
Adamant
252 Atk | 6 Def | 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Waterfall
Pretty standard DD Gyra, maxed speed and attack. Adamant nature is more important than Jolly because knocking things out with maxed damage is more important. No Ice Fang because if you see a Celebi, just switch out and if you see a Gliscor just waterfall or switch out. EQ is also your best bet against annoying pests like Starmies that try to wall you. 6 Def instead of HP or SpD because physical priority moves are more common.
Latias@Leftovers
Timid
128 HP | 252 Spe | 130 SpA
-Calm Mind
-Dragon Pulse
-HP Fire
-Recover
Latias is a boss. I cannot stress the fact more. Being strong stat-wise and versatile movepool-wise just makes him one of my favourite boosting sweepers. He can basically force out many strong attackers in OU (Infernape, Salamence, Breloom) and annoy the hell out of people with CM Recover combo. Watch out for Tyranitar though hes the only main counter because of STAB pursuit and boosted SpD. HP Fire to take down mainly Scizor but also Metagross and Bronzong. No extra BS investments on defensive stats because its already bulky enough.
Rotom-c@Leftovers
Bold
252 HP | 58 Def | 200 SpD
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
Why Rotom-c if you're not going to use Leaf Storm? Well, it's just to scare of things like Swampert that needs to be worn down by SR/TS and keep unaware Celebis in and blast it with a dose of x2 STAB Shadow Ball. Its basically a great anti-spinner for my SR and TS and runs rest/talk to absorb status. Arguably one of the best ghost-type tank because Dusknoir is less useful and more predictable.
Nidoqueen@Leftovers
Relaxed
252 HP | 216 Def | 42 Spe
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Roar
-Toxic Spikes
I can't stress how much underrated Nidoqueen is. It might have average looking stats, but with the right EVs it can be a decent semi-bulky supporter and can even take on the role of a revenge killer. It is quite anti-status in terms of poison and paralysis and a good switch-in to Blissey who carries both T-wave and Toxic. Earthquake kills Heatran because its 4x and you can survive one earth power and ice beam for dragons who think they can OHKO you with physical moves. Roar for phaze/entry hazard abuse.
Infernape@Life Orb
Naive
64 Atk | 194 Spe | 252 SpA
-Fire Blast
-Close Combat
-Grass Knot
-HP Ice
The Best. Sweeper. EVAR! Seriously! He's the glass cannon that can wreck havoc if properly used and a legit stallbreaker (noticably the infamous SkarmBliss). Also, he's known to be the only weakness of Imperfectluck.'s famous stall team. With threats taken out, it can kick ass lategame. Fire Blast/Close Combat HURTS even if they resist it. HP Ice kills dragons that stay in and Grass Knot for Swampert/Hippowdon/Milotic. Be sure to take out/cripple the bulky waters like Milotic/Suicune/Vaporeon and also fast attackers like ScarfRan/Starmie before you attempt to sweep. He is the star of the team, so be sure to have SR and TS up so he can OHKO weakened noobs. APEOWNAGE POWER!!!!!!!
Threat List
Coming Soon.. Any Suggestions? On the top of my head things like Tyranitar, Gengar.
Ending Words
I know many things are standard but really, it's quite effective on the ladder. Feel free to try out my team and hopefully you can unleash the true power of sweeping Infernape. Good luck and thanks for reading my post. Reply to provide suggestions and help me build a threat list! BYE!
