Rate my team! New player :)

First of all, English is not my first language, so i apologize for all my mistakes while writing this!

So, getting in to the team, I've been playing pokemon since 1998 or so, started with Red on the old fat gameboy ( wich still lives!:) ).
To be honest this past days had been my first days playing "competitive" pokemon battling and im quite loving it! and frankly it takes pokemon to a whole new level... ( at least for me ;) )

Zapdos has always been one of my favourite pokemon so i wanted to create a team that support it and help me kick ass! I'm not ready for Ubers/OU ATM, to much weather and not a fan of full legendary teams :p So I'm trying out UU, I dont seem to find the proper balance to my team, either i loose 0-4 or i win 3-0, not always ofc, but there is rarely a close battle... I realize how important is to anticipate your enemy so your mons take the least dmg or so you can counter properly! So after trying a couple of teams, this is the one i think i like the most, but im open to tips or advice :)

Quetzal (Zapdos) (timid) @ Leftovers
Trait: pressure ( coz lightningrod is only usable in OU, rigth?)
EVs: 252 Spd / 4 defense / 248 HP
- Substitute
- roost
- HP flying
- thunderbolt

So, the evs are giving me nice results lately, much better a defensive zapdos than full ofensive one, after some advice im trying out the speedier version of this. The leftovers + substitute+ roost allows me to stay almost always over 70% hp if im a bit careful and lucky :)
Thunderbolt coz i like accuracy, and i'll need a stab move, and the same goes with HP flying. I tried Heat wave first instead of HP, but im finding more useful the HP due to the amount of figth pokemons on this tier and it actually seams not many people expect a flying attack... Overall im happy with zapdos, but any advice is welcome! ( maybe changing the nature?)

Chandelure (Timid) @ life orb
Trait: flash fire
EVs: 68 hp/ 188 Satk/ 252 Spd
- Pain split
- substitute
- shadow ball
- Fire blast

Loving chandelure, specially when i get to change it into any fire attack... same here, substitute keeps him alive, and if the substitute survives i feel free to sweep and get "healed" with pain split. Evs, and nature are this way so he gets to outspeed other ghost ( unless scarfed ones or freaking sableye) and some other stuff, not all of the tier for sure! Life orb to buff more his Satk. He's not a must in my team, by i find it quite an asset and pretty fun to play!

Swampert (impish) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252HP/ 252 D/4speed
-Waterfall
-EQ
-Stealth rock
-Counter

Pretty common swampert i guess, im using counter instead of toxic/ice beam coz its giving me results haha! But i migth change it back later deppends on how the teams evolves, Waterfall and EQ as Stab attacks, SR to scrach some hp from my enemies, been him the only one able to set up any of those hazards. The Hp, defense and leftovers make him as you probably know a great tank, until any grass move goes his way wich i try to avoid swiching eiher to zapdos or chandelure

This is my cleric, helps me when my team get any status, and ofc helps me if i manage to get some wish to any other pokemon of my team. serves me as well as a Sdef wall, Again, the evs, nature and leftovers are to keep him alive as long as i can :) Foul play is there just in case of someone taunt me and a change wouldnt be welcome, but i honestly dont find it that amazing ( migth be my ignorance), so i might try some others moves for the last slot, again, advice is welcome!

Blastoise (bold)@ Leftovers

EVs: 244 Def / 252 HP / 12 Spd
- scald

- roar/dragon tail
- toxic

Clasic spinner, aparently almost every team got one of these, so i moved some evs to speed to be a bit faster than them but at the same time keeping it almost as bulky as possible. Scald burns the oponent way over 30% of the time! :) or at least seems like it, roar to phaze a bit and maybe remove a curselax or something like that, i used dragon tail coz it seems better but it fails a lot! so im back to roar. Toxic to spread some status around, and to give Blastoise some kind of help to take down the enemies. I really need a spinner due to zapdos and chandelure taking huge dmg from SR. I've tried hitmontop, and it aint bad, i just like more the turtle! but i could change :)

Mienshao (Jolly) @ Choice scarf

EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd / 4 hp

-Dual chop/Hp ice

The last and more hard to chose member of my team, not sure if choosing him or roserade, heracross, darmanitan or even arcanine! By now im trying out this set that lets me revenge kill a lot of things, included freaking kingdra if it havent made a couple of DD anf ive made him some dmg already, Love the regenerator ability plus u-turn to scout a bit, plus HJ kick hits like a truck! evs are clearly focus in maximice speed and Atk, choice scarf to be the fastest posible. HP ice instead of Dual chop as it has been adviced to me will help me cover up way more things, wich i find it to be very true haha :)

First of all, run Hidden Power Ice over Dual Chop on mienshao. Dragon doesn't get you much else in terms of coverage, and HP Ice can beat Gligar.
Next, I'd change the Zapdos EVS, but first let me know what your goal is for it. What are you hoping to outspeed with it?
 
Thanks for the answer, i will try the hp ice now :), an about zapdos i just like it to be at least medium fast ( 306 atm) But if i changed it to full speed losing some defense i think he would be able to outspeed jolly darmanitan,arcanine, heracross,roserade... (without scarfs) so im gonna try this again! Thanks!
