Please note before reading: This team was made based off not how good the Pokemon were, but how much I like them, meaning this team is built out of my favorites, which is the most likely explanation if you see an odd or uncommon choice. I am willing to change some of them out, however. I've used this team for a while and have received mixed results, but I do feel like it could be better.
Walnut (Forretress) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Sunny Day
For the most part, this is a standard Forretress set-setting up Stealth Rock and Spikes, and using Rapid Spin to take those away. However, there's one move on here that most people wouldn't expect to see on Forretress-Sunny Day. This is due to the fact that after months of facing Drizzle team after Drizzle team, I was beginning to get very annoyed at them, and decided to put on Sunny Day. However, for the most part, it hasn't worked as well as I'd hoped. I'd like to know if Sunny Day would be a good choice, or if I should take it away in favor of Volt Switch.
Luna (Umbreon) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Curse
- Heal Bell
- Payback
Umbreon has always been a favorite Pokemon of mine, and I've found it works very well as a special wall even outside of UU. I went with a Curse set so I could bolster its not-as-good physical defense. Both Heal Bell and Wish are absolutely essential for me-Wish to help it stay alive longer to keep walling and provide healing support to other teammates, and Heal Bell is imperative to get rid of status from other Pokemon. This is especially important for Eelektross, as for some reason I often find it being hit by Will-O-Wisp. However, what I'm mainly wondering is if other moves would be better for the other two slots.
Pone (Keldeo-Resolute) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Surf
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Ice]
There's not much to say about this set-it's basically the standard for Keldeo as far as I'm aware. If there are any viable moves aside from Hydro Pump, I'd like to know, as I try to use as little low-accuracy moves as I can-I prefer for luck to have as little effect on my battles as possible. I'm also wondering if there would be a better Hidden Power than Ice-Electric, for example, can hit Jellicent and Tentacruel, but leaves me incapable of doing anything to Latias, Latios, Dragonite, and Salamence. It's a similar dilemma to Infernape below, but with this, I'm majorly leaning towards Ice, seeing as Electric would leave me defenseless against four common Pokemon as opposed to two.
Sally (Nidoqueen) (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 100 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 152 Spd
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
Nidoqueen has been one of my favorites since I used her in a Nuzlocke of Pokemon Blue. I wanted to go with an offensive move set with her because of her titanic movepool and access to Sheer Force. She's proved to be extremely effective in battle so far, and seems to be able to take a hit from anything-it takes at the very least a Landorus Earthquake to OHKO her. I use Flamethrower on her instead of Fire Blast, again due to accuracy. I know that Sludge Wave or Focus Blast are also recommended on Nidoqueen, and was wondering whether or not one of those would be better on this moveset than another one of her moves.
Blaze (Infernape) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Hasty Nature
- Overheat
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
Another standard moveset. Again, can't think of much to say about this-it has served me pretty well in the past. However, I'm wondering if Thunderpunch would be better than Stone Edge so I can have something to hit Jellicent or Tentacruel with. What I'm worried about is that Stone Edge is the only thing I really have to hit things like Salamence or Dragonite, and I wouldn't be able to do nearly as much to them if I used Thunderpunch instead of Stone Edge. However, as I've said before, I try to avoid low-accuracy moves, and Tentacruel and Jellicent are fairly big threats-then again, Salamence and Dragonite are too.
Steve (Eelektross) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 236 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Coil
- ThunderPunch
- Drain Punch
- Dragon Tail
This EV Spread has amazing bulk, I've found-with nothing Super Effective on it, after one Coil barely anything OHKOs it, either on the Physical or Special side. I've found Dragon Tail to be one of the more useful moves on the entire team, being able to stop set-up sweepers in their tracks if they don't expect Dragon Tail and try to set up instead of attacking. I use Thunderpunch rather than Wild Charge because I don't want to take any recoil on this set. Drain Punch is extremely helpful on this set, seeing as it gives me even more health along with Leftovers.
Keep in mind I'm kind of a noob when rating this. Any suggestions are appreciated, and thank you in advance. :)
